Abstract
Description
本出願は、「THERMALLY STABLE SUBSTRATES FOR FLEXIBLE FLAT PANEL DISPLAYS」という名称で2012年5月11日出願の米国特許仮出願第61/645,707号の優先権を主張する。
本出願は、フラットパネルディスプレイ、太陽光発電システム、点灯装置、および入出力装置などの電子デバイス用透明フレキシブル基板の製造に関する。具体的には、フレキシブル基板は、高ガラス転移温度(Tg)を有する有機可溶性完全イミド化ポリイミドから調製されたものを含む。また、本出願は、少なくとも1種のポリイミド層および1種の薄型ガラス層を含む厚型ポリイミドフィルムまたは多層積層板の形のフレキシブル基板の製造に関する。さらに詳細には、本出願は、ほぼゼロの複屈折率および比較的低い熱膨張係数(CTE)を有する熱的に安定なフレキシブル基板の製造に関する。

9,9−ビス(4−アミノフェニル)フルオレン(FDA);
次の一般的手続きを使って高沸点溶剤中のカルドジアミンおよび脂環式酸二無水物からポリイミドを調製できる。
実施例1a〜c。一般的重合手順により、BODAをFDA(1a)、FFDA(1b)、およびMeFDA(1c)と重合した(表1)。
Claims (22)
- 電子デバイス中に、またはそれと共に使用するための透明フレキシブル基板であって、約300℃を超えるガラス転移温度を有する有機可溶性ポリイミドを含み、前記有機可溶性ポリイミドが少なくとも1種の酸二無水物および少なくとも1種のジアミンから構成され、前記少なくとも1種の酸二無水物が脂環式酸二無水物であり、前記少なくとも1種のジアミンが芳香族カルドジアミンである、基板。
- 前記電子デバイスがフラットパネルディスプレイ、点灯装置、光起電力デバイス、または入出力装置である、請求項1に記載の基板。
- 少なくとも25ミクロンの厚さ、および400〜750nmの範囲で約80%を超える透過率を有する、請求項1に記載の基板。
- 300℃で60分未満の時間加熱した後で、前記400〜750nmの範囲の透過率が80%を超える、請求項3に記載の基板。
- 約±0.001未満の面外複屈折率を有する、請求項1に記載の基板。
- 約60ppm/℃未満の熱膨張係数を有する、請求項1に記載の基板。
- 前記ポリイミドが一般的構造:
- 前記脂環式酸二無水物が、1,2,3,4−シクロブタンテトラカルボン酸二無水物、1,2,3,4−シクロペンタンテトラカルボン酸二無水物、1,2,4,5−シクロヘキサンテトラカルボン酸二無水物、およびビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタ−7−エン−2,3,5,6−テトラカルボン酸二無水物を含む群から選択される請求項8に記載の基板。
- 前記芳香族カルドジアミンが、一般構造:
- 前記芳香族カルドジアミンが、9,9−ビス(4−アミノフェニル)フッ素、9,9−ビス(4−アミノ−3−フルオロフェニル)フッ素、および9,9−ビス(4−アミノ−3−メチルフェニル)フッ素を含む群から選択される、請求項10に記載の基板。
- 前記ポリイミドが、芳香族酸二無水物をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の基板。
- 前記ポリイミドが、非カルド芳香族ジアミンをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の基板。
- 前記非カルド芳香族ジアミンが、遊離カルボキシル基を含む、請求項13に記載の基板。
- 前記非カルド芳香族ジアミンが、3,5−ジカルボキシアニリンおよび2,2’−ジカルボキシ−4,4’−ジアミノビフェニルを含む群より選択される、請求項14に記載の基板。
- 約300℃を超えるガラス転移温度を有する有機可溶性ポリイミドを含む第1層であって、前記有機可溶性ポリイミドが少なくとも1種の酸二無水物および少なくとも1種のジアミンを含み、少なくとも1種の酸二無水物が脂環式酸二無水物であり、少なくとも1種のジアミンが芳香族カルドジアミンである第1層、および
ガラスを含む第2層
を含む、電子デバイス用透明フレキシブル多層基板。 - 前記第1層が、少なくとも2ミクロンの厚さである、請求項16に記載の基板。
- 前記第2層が、少なくとも20ミクロンの厚さである、請求項16に記載の基板。
- 400〜750nmの範囲で約80%を超える透過率を有する、請求項16に記載の基板。
- 300℃で60分未満の時間加熱後に、400〜750nmの範囲で約80%を超える透過率を有する、請求項16に記載の基板。
- 約±0.001未満の面外複屈折率を有する、請求項16に記載の基板。
- 約60ppm/℃未満の熱膨張係数を有する、請求項16に記載の基板。
