Abstract
【解決手段】複数のユーザー機器(UE)にサービスを提供する発展型Node B(eNode B)に対して、選択されたUEについてのキャリアアグリゲーション機能情報を伝達する段階を備える。eNode Bにおける複数のコンポーネントキャリアは、選択されたUEのキャリアアグリゲーション機能方法に基づいて設定可能である。コンポーネントキャリア設定メッセージは、eNode Bからブロードキャストされ、複数のUEに共通のコンポーネントキャリア設定情報を含む。選択されたUEに固有の固有設定情報は、専用通信シグナリングを使用して伝達される。選択されたコンポーネントキャリアは、選択されたUEに対してアクティブ化される。

Description
本明細書で使用されている"実質的に(substantially)"という言葉は、アクション、特性、性質、状態、構造、項目又は結果が完全に、又はほぼ完全な範囲又は程度であることを意味している。例えば、「ある物体が、実質的に封入されている」とは、その物体が完全に封入されている、又は、完全に封入されている状態に近いことを意味している。絶対的な完全状態からの、許容される偏差の正確な度合いは、場合によって、具体的な背景に依存する。しかしながら、一般的には、完全に近い状態とは、絶対的な完全状態で得られる結果と全体として同じ結果を得ることができる状態のことを指す。また、"実質的に"という言葉は、アクション、特性、性質、状態、構造、項目又は結果が、完全に存在しない又はほぼ完全に存在しないという否定的な意味合いの場合でも同様に使用される。

3GPP LTE リリース8/9に準拠して動作するよう設定されたUEの電源が入れられると、UEは、典型的には、スキャン、選択及び、eNode Bが提供する利用可能なキャリアのうちの1つと結合するように設定される。RRC−IDLEモードプロセスの全てが、3GPP LTE リリース8/9方式に準拠したUEそれぞれによって、扱われると仮定することができる。
一実施形態において、キャリアアグリゲーションをサポートするよう設定されたeNode Bは、eNode BがRRCシグナリングのような高レベルシグナリングメカニズム、又はその他の種類のレイヤ2又はレイヤ3のシグナリングを使用する別の(第2の)コンポーネントキャリアについてのスケジュールリング情報(SI)を、結合されたUEに提供することができる。eNode Bは、eNode Bからサービスの提供を受けるUEに、コンポーネントキャリアそれぞれについての設定情報を伝達することができる。UEがこの情報を受信すると、その他のコンポーネントキャリアは、設定済みのコンポーネントキャリアとして扱われる。これにより、UEは、設定されたコンポーネントキャリアを迅速にアクティブ化するこができる。設定済みコンポーネントキャリアのリソースは、必要に応じて、キャリアアグリゲーションにスケジュールすることができる。キャリア設定情報は、eNode B内で有効にすることができる。コンポーネントキャリアは、多くの場合、DLコンポーネントキャリアとULコンポーネントキャリアの組として設定される。コンポーネントキャリアの各組、及びこれに対応するリソースは、UEに対するサービングセルと称することができる。つまり、コンポーネントキャリア設定は、セル設定と見なすこともできる。
コンポーネントキャリア設定は、DL/UL制御チャネルマッピング及び複数のコンポーネントキャリアに渡る関連性についての情報と共に、DL/ULのペアリングについての情報も含み。
コンポーネントキャリアが設定されると、設定されたキャリアのアクティブ化を、レイヤ2(L2)層で実行することができる。例えば、アクティブ化は、MAC制御要素を介して、媒体アクセス制御(MAC)層を使用して実行してもよい。通常は、アクティブ化は、設定よりも頻繁に行われ、スケジューリングよりは、実行される頻度が低い。設定の間に、MAC制御要素によってキャリアアグリゲーションの固有情報を伝達する余裕はあまりなく、スケジューリングの間では、ほとんど余裕がない。すなわち、一般的には、アクティブ化又はスケジューリングに伴って変更される可能性が最も低いパラメータのみを、設定の間にUEに伝達する。
Claims (20)
- キャリアアグリゲーションにおける複数のコンポーネントキャリアを設定する方法であって、
発展型Node B(eNode B)のネットワーク内に位置する複数のユーザー機器(UE)にサービスを提供する前記eNode Bにおいて、選択されたUEからキャリアアグリゲーション機能情報を受信する段階と、
前記選択されたUEの前記キャリアアグリゲーション機能情報に基づいて、前記eNode Bにおいて、前記選択されたUEに対する複数のコンポーネントキャリアを設定する段階と、
前記eNode Bからプライマリコンポーネントキャリア(PCC)で、前記複数のUEに共通のセカンダリコンポーネントキャリア(SCC)設定情報を含む設定メッセージを前記複数のUEへブロードキャストする段階と、
複数の設定済みコンポーネントキャリアを形成するべく、専用通信シグナリングを使用して、前記eNode Bから前記PCCで、前記複数のUEのうちの1つに固有の前記SCC設定情報を伝達する段階と、
前記選択されたUEのサービス品質及び帯域幅の要求に基づいて、前記eNode Bにおいて、前記選択されたUEに対する、選択された複数の設定済みSCCをアクティブ化する段階と
を備える方法。 - 前記eNode Bによって提供されるキャリアアグリゲーションで利用可能な複数のSCCについて、前記複数のUEのそれぞれから、前記eNode Bにおいて、信号強度の無線リソース管理(RRM)測定結果を受信する段階を更に備える請求項1に記載の方法。

- 前記eNode Bにおいて、前記選択された複数の設定済みSCCをアクティブ化する段階は、前記Node Bにおいて、設定する段階に続いて前記選択されたUEによって提供される前記RRM測定結果に基づいて、前記選択されたUEに対して選択された複数の設定済みSCCをアクティブ化する段階を有する請求項2または3に記載の方法。
- 前記選択されたUEから前記キャリアアグリゲーション機能情報を受信する段階は、前記選択されたUEから、前記eNode Bへのアップリンクにおいてサポートされるコンポーネントキャリアの最大数、前記eNode Bからのダウンリンクにおいてサポートされるコンポーネントキャリアの最大数、前記アップリンク及び前記ダウンリンクにおいてサポートされる最大帯域幅、及び選択された周波数帯域のサポートのうちの少なくとも1つを、前記eNode Bにおいて受信する段階を有する請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記eNode Bから、SCCのそれぞれについて、SCC設定情報をブロードキャストする段階を更に備え、
前記SCC設定情報は、キャリア中心周波数、キャリア帯域幅、及びキャリア複信モードを含む請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記eNode Bにおいて、コンポーネントキャリアそれぞれに対して、前記eNode Bと前記複数のUEとの間の通信におけるコンポーネントキャリアそれぞれを参照する場合のオーバーヘッドを低減するべく、
前記ブロードキャストされた設定メッセージにおいて提供されるeNode B固有のキャリアインデックス(CI)と、
前記専用通信シグナリングにおいて提供されるUE固有の設定済み物理キャリアインデックスと、を割り当てる段階を更に備える請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記コンポーネントキャリアのうちの1つに、前記選択されたUEを結合させる段階と、
前記コンポーネントキャリアを、前記PCCとして規定する段階とを更に備える請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記複数のSCCについて、物理ダウンリンク制御チャネル(PDCCH)においてダウンリンク制御情報(DCI)を搬送するべく、前記PCCのダウンリンクを選択する段階を更に備える請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のSCCについて、物理ダウンリンク制御チャネル(PDCCH)において、ダウンリンク制御情報(DCI)を搬送するべく、前記複数のSCCのダウンリンクコンポーネントキャリアを選択する段階を更に備える請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 物理アップリンク共有チャネル(PUSCH)及びアップリンクフィードバック情報を、物理アップリンク制御チャネル(PUCCH)で搬送するべく、ダウンリンクコンポーネントキャリアそれぞれに対するアップリンクコンポーネントキャリアを選択する段階を更に備え、
キャリア設定の一部として、前記アップリンクコンポーネントキャリアと、PDCCHにおける対応するアップリンク割り当てを搬送する前記ダウンリンクコンポーネントキャリアとを組にする請求項1から10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記複数のSCCについて、ダウンリンクコンポーネントキャリア各々における物理ダウンリンク共有チャネル(PDSCH)送信のそれぞれについてのフィードバック情報を搬送するべく、前記PCCのアップリンクコンポーネントキャリアを選択する段階を更に備える請求項8に記載の方法。
- 物理ダウンリンク制御チャネルを搬送するのに使用されたコンポーネントキャリアと同じコンポーネントキャリア上で、物理的ハイブリッドARQ(自動再送要求)インジケータチャネル(PHICH)を搬送する段階を更に備える請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記eNode Bから伝達する段階は、
前記SCC設定情報において、
ダウンリンクコンポーネントキャリアそれぞれについて、対応する物理アップリンク制御チャネルがどこで送信されるか、
ダウンリンクコンポーネントキャリアそれぞれについて、対応する物理ダウンリンク制御チャネルがどこで送信されるか、
アップリンクコンポーネントキャリアそれぞれについて、対応する物理ダウンリンク制御チャネルがどこで送信されるか、及び、
前記PCCについて、ランダムアクセスチャネルが含まれているかを特定する段階を有する請求項1から13のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記選択された複数の設定済みSCCをアクティブ化する段階は、SCCそれぞれについて、前記eNode Bから、前記選択されたUEに、アクティブ化情報を媒体アクセス制御(MAC)制御要素として送信する段階を有する請求項1から14のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記eNode Bから前記UEに送信されるビットマップを使用して、前記選択されたUEに対するSCCそれぞれをアクティブ化及び非アクティブ化する段階を更に備え、
前記ビットマップにおけるビットは、前記複数のSCCに対するインデックスが順番に並べられたリストに対してマッピングされている請求項15に記載の方法。 - キャリアアグリゲーションにおける複数のコンポーネントキャリアを設定するシステムであって、
複数のユーザー機器(UE)にサービスを提供する発展型Node B(eNode B)において動作するキャリアアグリゲーションモジュール手段を備え、
前記キャリアアグリゲーションモジュール手段は、
選択されたUEにおいて動作するキャリア設定モジュールから、前記eNode Bにおいてキャリアアグリゲーション機能情報を受信し、
前記選択されたUEの前記キャリアアグリゲーション機能情報に基づいて、前記選択されたUEに対する複数のコンポーネントキャリアを前記eNode Bにおいて設定し、
前記eNode Bからプライマリコンポーネントキャリア(PCC)で、前記複数のUEに共通のセカンダリコンポーネントキャリア(SCC)設定情報を含む設定メッセージをブロードキャストし、
前記eNode Bから前記PCCで、前記選択されたUEへと、前記選択されたUEに固有のSCC設定情報をユニキャストし、
前記選択されたUEのサービス品質及び帯域幅の要求のうちの少なくとも1つに基づいて、前記eNode Bにおいて、前記選択されたUEに対する、選択された複数の設定済みSCCをアクティブ化する、システム。 - 前記eNode Bにおける前記キャリアアグリゲーションモジュール手段は更に、前記eNode Bによって提供されるキャリアアグリゲーションで利用可能な前記複数のSCCについて、前記複数のUEのそれぞれから、前記eNode Bにおいて、信号強度の無線リソース管理(RRM)測定結果を受信する請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記eNode Bにおける前記キャリアアグリゲーションモジュール手段は更に、レベル2通信を使用して、前記eNode Bから前記PCCで、前記選択されたUEに固有の前記SCC設定情報を前記選択されたUEに伝達する請求項17または18に記載のシステム。
- 前記eNode Bにおける前記キャリアアグリゲーションモジュール手段は更に、前記eNode Bから前記選択されたUEへと送信されるビットマップを使用して、前記選択されたUEに対する選択された複数のSCCのアクティブ化及び非アクティブ化の少なくとも一方を実行するべく、コンポーネントキャリアビットマップを伝達し、
前記ビットマップにおけるビットは、前記複数のSCCに対するインデックスが順番に並べられたリストに対してマッピングされている請求項17から19のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
