Description
本明細書で使用されている"実質的に(substantially)"という言葉は、アクション、特性、性質、状態、構造、項目又は結果が完全に、又はほぼ完全な範囲又は程度であることを意味している。例えば、「ある物体が、実質的に封入されている」とは、その物体が完全に封入されている、又は、完全に封入されている状態に近いことを意味している。絶対的な完全状態からの、許容される偏差の正確な度合いは、場合によって、具体的な背景に依存する。しかしながら、一般的には、完全に近い状態とは、絶対的な完全状態で得られる結果と全体として同じ結果を得ることができる状態のことを指す。また、"実質的に"という言葉は、アクション、特性、性質、状態、構造、項目又は結果が、完全に存在しない又はほぼ完全に存在しないという否定的な意味合いの場合でも同様に使用される。
技術的実施形態の概要を以下に記載した後に、特定の技術的実施形態をより詳細に記載する。初めに概要を記載するがこれは、本明細書を読む者が、技術を効率よく理解するのを助けることを意図しており、本技術の重要な特徴又は必要不可欠な特徴を特定することを意図しておらず、また、請求項に記載の特徴の範囲を限定することも意図していない。以下に記載の定義は、後に説明する実施形態及び概要を明確にするために提供されるものである。
3GPP LTE リリース8/9に準拠して動作するよう設定されたUEの電源が入れられると、UEは、典型的には、スキャン、選択及び、eNode Bが提供する利用可能なキャリアのうちの1つと結合するように設定される。RRC−IDLEモードプロセスの全てが、3GPP LTE リリース8/9方式に準拠したUEそれぞれによって、扱われると仮定することができる。
一実施形態において、キャリアアグリゲーションをサポートするよう設定されたeNode Bは、eNode BがRRCシグナリングのような高レベルシグナリングメカニズム、又はその他の種類のレイヤ2又はレイヤ3のシグナリングを使用する別の(第2の)コンポーネントキャリアについてのスケジュールリング情報(SI)を、結合されたUEに提供することができる。eNode Bは、eNode Bからサービスの提供を受けるUEに、コンポーネントキャリアそれぞれについての設定情報を伝達することができる。UEがこの情報を受信すると、その他のコンポーネントキャリアは、設定済みのコンポーネントキャリアとして扱われる。これにより、UEは、設定されたコンポーネントキャリアを迅速にアクティブ化するこができる。設定済みコンポーネントキャリアのリソースは、必要に応じて、キャリアアグリゲーションにスケジュールすることができる。キャリア設定情報は、eNode B内で有効にすることができる。コンポーネントキャリアは、多くの場合、DLコンポーネントキャリアとULコンポーネントキャリアの組として設定される。コンポーネントキャリアの各組、及びこれに対応するリソースは、UEに対するサービングセルと称することができる。つまり、コンポーネントキャリア設定は、セル設定と見なすこともできる。
コンポーネントキャリア設定は、DL/UL制御チャネルマッピング及び複数のコンポーネントキャリアに渡る関連性についての情報と共に、DL/ULのペアリングについての情報も含み。
コンポーネントキャリアが設定されると、設定されたキャリアのアクティブ化を、レイヤ2(L2)層で実行することができる。例えば、アクティブ化は、MAC制御要素を介して、媒体アクセス制御(MAC)層を使用して実行してもよい。通常は、アクティブ化は、設定よりも頻繁に行われ、スケジューリングよりは、実行される頻度が低い。設定の間に、MAC制御要素によってキャリアアグリゲーションの固有情報を伝達する余裕はあまりなく、スケジューリングの間では、ほとんど余裕がない。すなわち、一般的には、アクティブ化又はスケジューリングに伴って変更される可能性が最も低いパラメータのみを、設定の間にUEに伝達する。
Claims (12)
- キャリアアグリゲーションにおけるコンポーネントキャリアを設定、アクティブ化および非アクティブ化する方法であって、
発展型Node B(eNode B)において、プライマリコンポーネントキャリア(PCC)を、ダウンリンクプライマリコンポーネントキャリア(DL PCC)及びアップリンクプライマリコンポーネントキャリア(UL PCC)を有するプライマリコンポーネントキャリアの組として設定する段階と、
eNode Bネットワーク内に位置する複数のユーザー機器(UE)にサービスを提供するように構成された前記eNode Bにおいて、選択されたUEからキャリアアグリゲーション機能情報を受信する段階と、
前記選択されたUEの前記キャリアアグリゲーション機能情報に基づいて、前記eNode Bにおいて、少なくとも1つのセカンダリコンポーネントキャリア(SCC)を、ダウンリンクセカンダリコンポーネントキャリア(DL SCC)及びアップリンクセカンダリコンポーネントキャリア(UL SCC)を有するセカンダリコンポーネントキャリアの組として設定する段階と、
各SCCのアクティブ化及び非アクティブ化を、媒体アクセス制御(MAC)制御要素で伝えられるビットマップによって、前記eNode Bから前記UEへ伝達する段階と、
前記少なくとも1つのSCCの非アクティブ化のために、非アクティブ化のタイミングをスケジューリングする段階と、
を備え、
1が設定されたビットは前記UEでの対応するSCCのアクティブ化を表し、0が設定されたビットは前記UEでの対応するSCCの非アクティブ化を表し、
前記スケジューリングする段階は、所定期間キャリアにデータがスケジューリングされなかった場合に前記SCCを非明示的に非アクティブ化する、方法。 - 前記所定期間は、設定/アクティブ化フェーズの間に設定することができる、請求項1に記載の方法。

- 前記eNode Bに結合するために前記UEによって選択されたキャリアが、前記PCCに指定される、請求項7から10のいずれか1項に記載のeNode B。
- 前記キャリアアグリゲーションモジュールは、RRCシグナリングを用いて再設定を可能とすべく、非アクティブ化した当該SCCの設定を消去する、請求項7から11のいずれか1項に記載のeNode B。
