Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.主としてポリエステルセグメントおよび酸素捕そく量のポリオレフィンオ リゴマーセグメントを含む、コポリマーのガラス転移温度より低い温度で固体状 態において酸素を吸収しうる重縮合コポリマー。 2.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーがポリプロピレン、ポリ(4−メチル)−1− ペンテン、ポリブタジエン、およびその混合物よりなる群から選択される、請求 項1記載のコポリマー。 3.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーがポリブタジエンを含む、請求項1記載のコポ リマー。 4.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーの分子量が約100〜約10,000である、 請求項1記載のコポリマー。 5.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーの分子量が約1,000〜約3,000である 、請求項1記載のコポリマー。 6.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーセグメントが主として約3000Å単位未満の 横断面サイズ分布を有する、請求項1記載のコポリマー。 7.2.5×4.0二軸配向して厚さ約1〜約10ミルのフィルムにした後、 コポリマーのポリエステルセグメントがそれから誘導された非改質ポリエステル の同様に配向した同じ厚さのフィルムの透明度の少なくとも70%の透明度を有 し、この70%の透明度が約400〜約800nmの光波長範囲におけるもので ある、請求項1記載のコポリマー。 8.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーセグメントがコポリマーの約0.5〜約12重 量%を構成する、請求項1記載のコポリマー。 9.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーセグメントがコポリマーの約2〜約8重量%を 構成する、請求項1記載のコポリマー。 10.ポリエステルセグメントが、式IVおよびVに含まれるものよりなる群 から選択される反復単位を含み、式IVおよびVそれぞれのnが2〜4の値を有 する請求項1記載のコポリマー。 11.約0〜約60℃の周囲温度で固体状態において、コポリマー1g当たり 少なくとも0.4ccの酸素吸収容量を示す、請求項1記載のコポリマー。 12.さらに酸化触媒を含む、請求項1記載のコポリマー。 13.主としてポリエステルセグメントおよび酸素捕そく量のポリオレフィン オリゴマーセグメントを含む、それらのガラス転移温度より低い温度で固体状態 において酸素を吸収しうる重縮合コポリマーの製造方法であって、 (a)加熱された混合帯域、この混合帯域への少なくとも1個の入口、および 出口ダイ開口を有する押出機を用意し; (b)ポリエステルおよびエステル交換触媒量のカルボン酸遷移金属塩を押出 機の入口から加熱された混合帯域へ供給し; (c)酸素捕そく性ポリオレフィンオリゴマーを、生成コポリマーに酸素捕そ く能を付与するのに十分な速度で押出機混合帯域に入口から送入し、その際ポリ オレフィンオリゴマーは重縮合反応に関与しうる末端基を官能性末端基として少 なくとも1個含み; (d)混合帯域において、ポリエステルを溶融しかつそれをエステル交換によ り官能性末端基付きポリオレフィンオリゴマーと反応させて重縮合コポリマーを 形成するのに十分な温度および滞留時間で、不活性雰囲気下にポリエステル、前 記カルボン酸塩およびポリオレフィンオリゴマーを混合および加熱し;そして (e)コポリマーを押出機出口ダイ開口へ送り、コポリマーをそこから押出す ;ことを含む方法。 14.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーがポリプロピレン、ポリ(4−メチル)−1 −ペンテン、ポリブタジエン、およびその混合物よりなる群から選択される、請 求項13記載の方法。 15.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーがポリブタジエンを含む、請求項13記載の 方法。 16.官能性末端基がヒドロキシ、カルボキシ、アミノ、およびその混合物よ りなる群から選択される、請求項13記載の方法。 17.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーが約100〜約10,000の分子量を有す る、請求項13記載の方法。 18.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーが約1,000〜約3,000の分子量を有 する、請求項13記載の方法。 19.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーが押出機中の混合物の約0.5〜約12重量 %を構成する、請求項13記載の方法。 20.ポリオレフィンオリゴマーが押出機中の混合物の約2〜約8重量%を構 成する、請求項13記載の方法。 21.押出機混合帯域の温度を約250〜約280℃に保持し、かつ混合帯域 における滞留時間が約3〜約5分である、請求項13記載の方法。 22.押出機がさらに混合帯域と出口ダイの間に真空帯域を含み、コポリマー がこの真空帯域を通って輸送され、これにより揮発性成分があれば分離される、 請求項13記載の方法。 23.カルボン酸遷移金属塩をポリエステルと共にではなくポリオレフィンオ リゴマーと共に押出機混合帯域に導入する、請求項13記載の方法。 24.カルボン酸遷移金属塩を別個に押出機混合帯域に導入する、請求項13 記載の方法。 25.コポリマーがPETおよびPENよりなる群から誘導されるポリエステ ルセグメントを含む、請求項13記載の方法。 26.官能性末端基付きポリオレフィンオリゴマーが、押出機中の混合物の約 2〜約8重量%配合された、分子量約1,000〜約3,000のヒドロキシ末 端基付きポリブタジエンであり、かつエステル交換触媒が約10〜約300pp m配合されたオクタン酸コバルトである、請求項25記載の方法。 27.酸素感受性物質を酸素分解から保護する方法であって、酸素バリヤーと して作用するのに十分な量の請求項1記載のコポリマーを含む適切な加工品中に 酸素感受性物質を包装することを含む方法。 28.加工品がさらに、酸素の取込み速度を促進する作用を有する遷移金属触 媒を含む、請求項27記載の方法。 29.加工品がさらに、活性化して酸素の取込み速度を高めるのに十分な紫外 線で照射すると酸素を取込みうる光活性物質を含む、請求項27記載の方法。 30.請求項1記載のコポリマーの層を1層またはそれ以上含む酸素遮断性容 器。 31.請求項1記載のコポリマーの内層を含み、この内層がポリエステル層間 に挟まれている、請求項30記載の容器。 32.コポリマーがPETおよびPENよりなる群から誘導されるポリエステ ルセグメントを含む、請求項30記載の容器。 33.重縮合物とブレンドした、請求項1記載のコポリマーを含む酸素遮断性 容器。 34.請求項1記載のコポリマーの層を1層またはそれ以上含む酸素遮断性包 装材料。 35.コポリマーがPETおよびPENよりなる群から誘導されるポリエステ ルセグメントを含む、請求項34記載の包装材料。
