Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which is highly crystalline and whose crystallization temp. is high, by blending a specified metal-contg. polymer and a hydrocarbon polymer with a thermoplastic polyester.
CONSTITUTION: A monovalent metallic compd. is reacted with an α-olefin-α,β- unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer having an α-olefin content of 50mol% or more to obtain a metal-contg. polymer is which part or the whole of carboxyl groups is in the form of the metal salt. Then 0.3W30pts.wt. metal-contg. polymer and 0.5W25pts.wt. hydrocarbon polymer (which has a number-average MW of 500W30,000 and at least one functional group at terminal of the main chain or at terminal of the long-chain branched chain and in which the main chain is wholly or mostly satd.) or a derivative thereof (e.g. a hydrogenated polyhydroxypolybutadiene), are blended with 100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5W2.0.
