Abstract

PURPOSE: An ethylene-propylene-ethylidenenorbornene terpolymer with sharp molecular weight distribution is blended with a softening agent of hydrocarbon with low pour point to produce rubber composition for extrusion with good extrusion processability, high filling property and improved low-temperature resistance.
CONSTITUTION: 100 parts by wt an ethylene-propylene-ethylidenenorbornene terpolymer that has 30W40wt% propylene content, sharp molecular weight distribution and 3, preferably 2.5 or lower ratio of weight average molecular weight to number average molecular weighr are blended with 1W150, preferably 50-120 parts of a softening agent of hydrocarbon with 0 preferably-15°C or lower pour point to produce said rubber composition with improved low-temperature resistacne for extrusion. The softening agent may be either paraffinic, naphthenic or aromatic
