Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a title composition providing a coat with excellent mechanical property and weather resistance comprising a base resin component consisting of a vinyl polymer having a carboxyl group in a side chain and a vinyl polymer having basic nitrogen in a side chain and a polyepoxy compound.
CONSTITUTION: A room temp. hardenable resin composition comprising (A) a base resin component consisting of (a) 30W99wt% of a vinyl polymer having a carboxyl group in a side chain and (b) 70W1wt% of a vinyl polymer having basic nitrogen in a side chain of which a content of this basic nitrogen is within a range of 0.1W1 eq. per 1000g of solid resin content of the mixture of both vinyl polymers (a), (b) and (B) a polyepoxy compound. Herein, (a) is a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group such as acrylic acid and a vinyl monomer such as methyl methacrylate and (b) is a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a vinyl monomer having basic nitrogen such as N,N-dimethylaminoethyl acrylate and the above-described vinyl monomer.
