Abstract

L'invention concerne un composant catalytique pour catalyseur de polymérisation d'alpha-oléfines. Ce composant catalytique solide comprend au moins sur la superficie le produit de réaction d'un composé de Mg halogéné avec un composé de Ti tétravalent et avec un composé donneur d'électrons, le rapport molaire donneur d'électrons/Ti dans le produit étant supérieur à 0,2 et le rapport atomes d'hologène/T, étant supérieur à 4; par ailleurs, au moins 80 % en poids des composés de Ti tétravalent qui y est contenu est insoluble dans le n-heptane bouillant et au moins 50 % en poids des composés de Ti insolubles dans le n-heptane est insoluble également dans TiCl4 à 80 degrés C, et l'aire superficielle du produit insoluble dans TiCl4 à 80 degrés C aussi bien que celle du composant catalytique lui-même est supérieure à 40 m**2/g. Ce composant catalytique est notamment utile dans des catalyseurs pour la préparation de polymères et de copolymères cristallins par polymérisation de propylène, et des mélanges de celui-ci avec l'éthylène.
