Abstract

Топливные сборки ядерного реактора включают в себя топливные элементы, которые спекаются или отливаются для образования заготовок и подвергаются совместной экструзии для получения спиральной многолопастной формы. Топливный сердечник может содержать металлический сплав из металлического топливного материала и металлического нетопливного материала или керамическое топливо в металлической матрице из нетопливного материала. Топливные элементы могут использовать более обогащённый делящийся материал и в то же время обеспечить поддержание безопасных рабочих температур. Такие топливные элементы, выполненные согласно одному или нескольким вариантам осуществления данного изобретения, могут обеспечить более высокую установленную мощность при более безопасных, более низких температурах, чем возможно в случае использования традиционных топливных стержней из оксида урана. Топливная сборка может также включать в себя множество традиционных топливных стержней из диоксида урана, что может помочь топливной сборке удовлетворить требования относительно имеющегося пространства для размещения тепловых сборок внутри традиционных ядерных реакторов.
