Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
(M × N) organische EL-(Elektrolumineszenz-) Elemente, die zweidimensional in M Reihen und N Spalten angeordnet sind, wobei M und N vorbestimmte natürliche Zahlen sind;
M Reihen Datenleitungen, an die Datenspannungen, in denen die Lichtemissions-Leuchtdichten der (M × N) organischen EL-Elemente einzeln eingestellt werden, in Reihenfolge angelegt werden;
N Spalten Abtastleitungen, an die eine Abtastspannung in Reihenfolge in Synchronisation mit Datenspannungen ange legt wird, die an die M Reihen Datenleitungen angelegt wer den;
M Reihen und N Spalten Schaltelemente, von denen immer nur elfte Spalte durch die Abtastspannung eingeschaltet wird, die in Reihenfolge an die N Spalten Abtastleitungen angelegt wird;
M Reihen und N Spalten Spannungshalteeinrichtungen, um die (M × N) Datenspannungen einzeln zu halten, die von den M Reihen Datenleitungen entsprechend dem EIN-Zustand der M Reihen und N Spalten Schaltelemente angelegt werden;
ein Paar Stromversorgungselektroden, an die eine vorbe stimmte Ansteuerspannung konstant angelegt wird;
M Reihen und N Spalten Ansteuerungstransistoren, um die Ansteuerspannung, die konstant an die Stromversorgungs elektroden angelegt wird, an die (M × N) organischen EL- Elemente entsprechend jeder der Spannungen anzulegen, die durch die (M × N) Spannungshalteeinrichtungen gehalten wer den; und
Leitungssteuerelemente zum Stoppen des Anlegens der Ansteu erspannung an die M organischen EL-Elemente der n-ten Spalte unmittelbar bevor eine Abtastspannung an die Abtast leitung der n-ten Spalte angelegt wird, wobei 1 ≦ n ≦ N.
(M × N) organische EL-Elemente, die zweidimensional in M Reihen und N Spalten angeordnet sind;
M Reihen Datenleitungen, an die Datenspannungen, in denen die Lichtemissions-Leuchtdichten der (M × N) organischen EL-Elemente einzeln eingestellt werden, in Reihenfolge angelegt werden;
N Spalten Abtastleitungen, an die eine Abtastspannung in Reihenfolge in Synchronisation mit Datenspannungen ange legt wird, die an die M Reihen Datenleitungen angelegt wer den;
M Reihen und N Spalten Schaltelemente, von denen immer nur eine Spalte durch die Abtastspannung eingeschaltet wird, die in Reihenfolge an die N Spalten Abtastleitungen angelegt wird;
M Reihen und N Spalten Spannungshalteeinrichtungen, um die (M × N) Datenspannungen einzeln zu halten, die an von den M Reihen Datenleitungen entsprechend dem EIN-Zustand der M Reihen und N Spalten Schaltelemente angelegt werden;
ein Paar Stromversorgungselektroden, an die eine vorbe stimmte Ansteuerspannung konstant angelegt wird;
M Reihen und N Spalten Ansteuerungstransistoren, um die Ansteuerspannung, die konstant an die Stromversorgungs elektroden angelegt wird, an die (M × N) organischen EL- Elemente entsprechend jeder der Spannungen anzulegen, die durch die (M × N) Spannungshalteeinrichtungen gehalten wer den: und
Leitungssteuerelemente zum Anlegen einer Umkehrspannung mit der entgegengesetzten Polarität der Ansteuerspannung an die M organischen EL-Elemente der n-ten Spalte, unmittelbar bevor eine Abtastspannung an die Abtastleitung der n-ten Spalte angelegt wird, wobei 1 ≦ n ≦ N.

wobei die Leitungssteuerelemente eine Einrichtung aufwei sen zum Stoppen des Anlegens einer Ansteuerspannung an die organischen EL-Elemente der ersten Spalte, wenn eine Abtastspannung an die Abtastleitung der (N-1)-ten Spalte angelegt wird, und sowohl zu Anlegen einer Umkehrspannung an die organischen EL-Elemente der ersten Spalte als auch zum Stoppen des Anlegens einer Ansteuerspannung an die organischen EL-Elemente der zweiten Spalte, wenn eine Abtastspannung an die Abtastleitung der N-ten Spalte ange legt wird.

die ferner erste und zweite Blindleitungen parallel zur Abtastleitung der ersten Spalte aufweist, an die eine Blindabtastspannung in Reihenfolge unmittelbar vor der Abtastspannung der ersten Spalte angelegt wird; und
wobei die Leitungssteuerelemente eine Einrichtung aufwei sen zum Stoppen des Anlegens einer Ansteuerspannung an die organischen EL-Elemente der ersten Spalte, wenn eine Abtastspannung an die erste Blindleitung angelegt wird, und sowohl zum Anlegen einer Umkehrspannung an die organischen EL-Elemente der ersten Spalte als auch zum Stoppen des Anlegens einer Ansteuerspannung an die organischen EL-Ele mente der zweiten Spalte, wenn eine Abtastspannung an die zweite Blindleitung angelegt wird.
