Abstract
通过因特网全球域网络传送一、二、三级传真图象数据的方法和设备如图所示,第一装置(16)将从本地传真机(14)上来的传真图象数据转换成电子邮件格式,并且将电子邮件格式数据通过网络(12)传送到第二台远程装置(16),此装置将电子邮件格式数据转换成传真图象数据用于在相连的远程传真机(26)上打印出来。
Description
本发明涉及通过远程网络传送传真图象的方法和设备,特别是涉及普通一、二、三级传真机通过因特网全球域网络变换、传送和接收传统一、二、三级传真图象及接收其它电子数据的设备及方法。
近年来所谓的“传真”机已在大型和小型商务中及许多家庭中已成为普通设备。在1966年采用了所谓第一组成第一级标准,从此就开始这种设备普及。虽然它需要6分钟传送一页而且分辨率低,但它对邮递来说,是一个很大的改进,特别是对国际通信。在1978年出现了第二极标准,随后1980又出了第三级标准,这些传真机更快分辨率更好,只要大约30秒就传送一页文字。
流行的单体传真机今天在日常传输书写文件及图象中仍是标准,但是缺少直接连接因特网全球域网络并发送/接收这类文件的能力。
当传真机现在被认为普遍时,通用一、二、三级传真机目前是直接电话连接设备,并因由于使用电话公司的交换机而要上交话务费,这当然意味着发送者必需根据他州际和州内通讯传送花费的时间而上交长话费。这种费用在繁忙的办公室中可达几百美元一个月,而一个国际公司可达到几千美元,今天,普通的传真机既不能通过因特网全球域网络中直接通讯,也不能接收电子邮件,因特网全球域网络通讯的安全性目前也难以获得和保证,明确传真发送者识别的能力即使不是不可能获得但也时常困难,如果要求绝对的安全性,则昂贵的加密/解密设备需要用于通过公共电话线传真的通讯上,安全私人线路能被使用但昂贵并且能够访问的地址被局限住。
对于普通传真用户来说选择何时接收传真传送及打印哪些和放弃哪些的能力是不能轻易获得。协议传真输送,特别是在多用途单电话线上,时常要求获得辅助通信;例如用电话决定于何时“打开传真机”,优先级,“忙线”重发,不传送等等。
相应地,本发明的目的是提供克服现有技术的局限性的方法和设备。
本发明的另一目的是提供通过因特网全球域网络发送/接收一、二、三级传真图象的方法和设备。
本发明的另一个目的是提供通过因特网发送/接收标准一、二、三级传真图象的方法和设备。
本发明的另一目的是提供高安全性和私人方法发送/接收一、二、三级传真图象的方法和设备。
本发明的进一步的目的是提供易于与目前一、二、三级传真机连接并使之能通过因特网全球域网络通信的经济的设备。
本发明的进一步的目的是提供易于与目前的一、二、三级传真机相连的经济设备,其内装有电子邮件代理装置和将传真图象数据流转换成电子邮件SMPT/MIME/MOSS格式的装置,用于通过因特网全球域网络发送/接收。
本发明的另一个目的是提供易于与一、二、三级传真机相连允许电子邮件打印出的的设备。
本发明的进一步的目的是提供易于与标准一、二、三级传真机相连并将传真图象数据流转换成电子邮件格式,用于与装有类似的传真机和具有电子邮件功能的计算机终端通过因特网发送/接收的设备。
在本发明的一个实施例中通过具有信号识别装置、数据存贮和传递缓冲器、转换装置、电子邮件代理装置、管理与输出装置、加密/解密装置、以及在因特网全球域网络中完成所需传真图象的传送的软件,实现本发明的这些和其他的进一步的目的。

图1表示的是通过因特网全球域网络12发送/接收传真的系统10,本地传真机14通过线15与信号操作装置16相连,此装置(16)又与普通旧式电话线18相连,线(18)终止于电子邮件代理装置服务器20上,如商业或公共服务器,服务器又连接于或在因特网全球域网格12中,因特网全球域网络12中的远端电子邮件代理服务器22在远程位置上通过普通电话线24与另一装置16相连,装置16又通过另一条线15与远端传真机26相连,传真机14和26可以是市场上目前有的一、二、三级中任一级传真机,并且与通常的国内电源28相连。装置16具有它们自己的电源供应装置30,将110伏交流电源转换成适当的电压以向将在下面详述的装置16中的组件供电。
图2以方块图显示图1系统的组成以及可以被直拔电话线34访问的公共加密密钥32的秘密访问地址薄,此外远程装置16和传真机26及远程代理服务器22可以通过普通电话线36与调制解调器38和计算机40相连,计算机40可以存贮并显示代理服务器23上的数据流。
现在参考图3,信号操作装置16显示在详细方块图表中,这里将要描述装置16输入传真图象数据流,并将其转换成电子邮件兼容的格式用于在因特网12中传送。装置16以下将被称作ecom16。伴随着整个过程的必要管理,将以一个实例通过图3的装置来完成。
当传真机14启动一个呼叫时,ecom16作出响应,它就象是被传真机14所呼叫的远程传真机,通常握手和识别信息通到识别合42交换,并且当确认时,传递到存贮和传递缓冲器44中,从这里数据流将根据合42的指示被传送到ecom16中的各种其它的功能。当数据在缓冲器44中时数据的压缩/解压缩通常已完成,下一步产生的传真数据流在合42中转换成电子邮件格式,图象压缩包括JPEG,GIF,和TIFF;声音和图像压缩如MPEG;如果要求,此时电子邮件扩展器如MIME/MOSS也将完成。如果加密被指示,转换的数据流将传向加密/解密模块48用于编码,这将在以后被描述。如果编码没有被指示,数据流将被传递到电子邮件代理装置50,代理装置50将执行与选择的服务器20相接口必需的存贮/发送/用户/口令识别功能,电子邮件代理器最好是商用邮件代理器,但它可以是公用或专用邮件代理器。商务和公共的电子邮件代理装置被提供在一个实施例中。
如图8和图9所示,键盘52将用以输入特殊指令、地址信息和状态信息,如“电子邮件正在等待”和类似的信息,来自合52的转换过的和格式化过的数据流被传递到合54中,用于最终邮件代理服务装置电话号码和发送/接收并连接信号功能。数据流则准备好通过普通电话线18动态地发送到因特网全球域网络中的被选中的本地代理服务器20上。
从这点起,数据流将在通常的全球网络服务器、管理器和供给器的控制下,直到它抵达位于连接远程传真机26地址的远程ecom16的目的地,图4所示的流程图说明了这个操作系列。
当ecom16通过电话线与服务器20相连时,任何传输机制可以用于传输数据流去/来因特网全球域网络服务器中,这类机制包括蜂窝电话、卫星、微波和广播。

图8是ecom16的概要方块图,显示出总体布局和组成ecom16的各种部件的内部联接,从物理独立的传真机14和26引出的线15与ecom16中的总线60相连,总线60将所有部件连接在一起并连到输出普通电话线18或24上,调制解调器62和84如在传输中用作输入和输出调制解调器,而接收数据时是输出、输入的,CPU72包括必要的指令集以运行ecom,并且可以是一个386DX33MHZ芯片、ASIIC芯片伴随着EPROM68包括了CPU的软件指令集和TCP/IP、SMTP、MTA协议及将一、二、三级传真数据流(段C11数据)转换成商业和/或公共电子邮件格式的算法,EPROM70是一个邮件用户代理装置,包括了商业和/或公共信合,并且EPROM66是闪速EPROM包括了加密/解密算法,RAMS 74,76和78用于存贮和传递数据到ASIC和CPU芯片,并到传真和电子邮件数据流,D/A模块88是模拟数字转换器,将传真图象数据流转换成数字格式并且反之亦然,模块80提供对数据流的压缩/解压操作,USART模块90是一个普遍的是同步发送/接收芯片传送键盘52输入的指令至上述的部件中,并到显示器94和96,以指示系统状态,声音芯片92和场声器98及辅助部份也可以设置,传真机和普通电话线通过标准RJ11连接器相连,电源30,如果要求,可按图8所示装在ecom16中,取110伏交流电并将其转换供供给必要的线音/振铃发生器、直流电和其它必要的电压以供ecom16运行,开/关装置100打开和关闭ecom。
现参照图9,键盘52具有通常的QWERTY键盘并具有数字1至0,此外提供特殊功能键,可将普通计算机几个键敲入指令。成为特殊功能的单击键,因此@键,点键可以访问电子邮件,COM是商业,NET是网络,EdU是教育,ORG是其它机构,MIL是军事,GOV是政府,来提供快速准确的主要地址;发信、收信、预览信、删除信、打印、用于明显的操作,编码传输保密也被提供了。
根据本发明通过因特网全球域网络从本地到远程传真机发送传真,以下动态系列将发生。
用户通过键盘52输入选择的远程传真机地址、LCD94显示,通过USART90输入,用户然后按下发信键,如果最初传真数据出现在内存缓冲入中,CPU指令集与ASIC64共同将数据修改成电子邮件用户代理器的格式,如果没有初始数据出现在内存中,LCD94显示缺省消息“等待传真”。转换过的数据通过合80压缩,并且CPU检查是否加密被指示,如果被要求加密,CPU指示ASIC64通过EPROM70执行加密并于内存中存贮结果,LCD94则指示“信准备发送”,用户则再次按下发信,并且CPU调出存于EPROM和RAM中电子邮件服务器电话号码,并初始化调制解调器84、转换器88和DSP82,并通过LTG86拨叫正确服务器的电话号码,当正确服务器返回号码,并且与电子邮件服务器握手完成,CPU发送存于缓冲器中的电子邮件,并清空缓冲器。当接收到服务器返回代码说,那条消息已被收到,CPU指示调制解调器84关闭,并且ecom返回至准备作其它通信。
在通过因特网全球网络传送数据后,在接收端,远程ecom的操作程序实际上与刚才讲过的正相反。此外ecom用户可以在邮件服务器中询问以查看是否有以前没有发出的传真邮件正在等待。电子邮件而不是转换的传真图象可以在与ecom装置相连的传真机上打印出来,用户按下“取信”以显示指令在LCD94中,然后CPU指示适当的EPROM调出适当的服务器电话号码,并通过调制解调器86拔出同样的号码,当合适的确认和握手完成以后,如果有邮件,服务器将之发送到MUAEPROM70中,并且CPU将此发送至内存缓冲器中,并且终止与服务器的连接。如果需要,通常“预览邮件”功能可包括在ecom16中。
上面给出了本发明一些明确的例子和在实际中的应用,可以理解它们并非最终的或限制本发明的,相反,这里给出的说明和解释用于本领域一般技术人员认识本发明及其原理,使它们可以在实际应用中,能修改本发明,调整并以许多方式应用,每一种方式可以最佳适应于特殊用途的要求。
Claims (33)
1.通过因特网全球域网络发送和接收一、二、三级传真图象数据的设备包括:
信号识别装置,用于判断发送/接收状态信息,
图象数据压缩、存贮和传递缓冲器装置与上述识别装置相连,
转换装置,将传真图象数据转成电子邮件格式数据并且反之亦然,此装置与上述缓冲器装置相连,
电子邮件代理器,与所述转换装置相连,
存储/发送/接收功能的用户识别确认装置,并与上述电子邮件代理器相连,
电子管理器,用于询址/发送/接收设备的指令、控制和状态的,此装置与用户识别确认装置相连,
输出装置,与所述电子管理器相连,用于将所述设备存贮/拨号/连接至在所选择的因特网全球域网络上的所述电子邮件代理器的邮件服务器。
2.根据权利要求1所述设备进一步包括加密装置与所述修改装置和所述电子邮件代理器相连,用于将所述转换的电子邮件数据有选择地编码和解码。
3.根据权利要求2所述的设备进一步包括公共/私人双密钥加密和解密装置与从私人地址薄访问和调出的装置。
4.根据权利要求1中所述的设备其中:所述电子邮件代理器是商业邮件代理器,并且所述在因特网全球域网络中的邮件服务器是所述代理器的商业服务器。
5.根据权利要求1中所述的设备,其中:电子邮件代理器是公共电子邮件代理器、并且所述在因特网全球域网络中的邮件服务器是公共服务器。
6.根据权利要求1所述的设备中所述的输出装置包括存贮/拨号/连接电路操作地将该设备,通过在因特网全球域网络中的邮件服务器与远程邮件代理器相连,该远程代理器是通远程邮件服务器与所述因特网全球域网络相连着。
7.根据权利要求6所述的设备其中所述的电子管理器包括小键盘输入装置,至少具有发送接收功能,传真和电子邮件访问功能;访问电子邮件服务器、私人地址薄、和传真机功能,用于命令所述设备的操作。
8.根据权利要求7所述的设备进一步包括与所述信号识别装置相连的RJ11输入终端用于操作的将所述设备与一、二、三级传真机标准输出终端连接。
9.根据权利要求8所述的设备进一步包括与所述输入装置相连的RJ11输出终端,用于操作的将设备通过普通电话(POTS)线与在因特网全球域网络中的邮件服务器连接。
10.根据权利要求9所述的设备,其中:所述设备由可操作与其相连的分离的直流电源供电,并适于与标准商业交流电源接连。
11.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中所述转换装置包括电子装置用于将原传真图象附加/分离到由所述改变装置产生的电子邮件格式数据中,用于通过因特网全球域网络传输/接收。
12.根据权利要求11所述的设备,其中电子装置包括电子邮件扩展器MIME协议。
13.接口设备系统将传真图象从第一个一、二、三级传真机通过因特网全球域网络连接到第二台一、二、三级传真机上,该接口设备系统其结构包括:
第一装置,连接在第一台传真机和属于INTERNET全球网络中的本地邮件服务器之间,它包括:
信号识别装置,连接所述第一台传真机,用于判断发送/接收状态信息;
图象数据压缩、存贮和传递缓冲器装置与所述识别装置相连;
转换/逆转换装置,与所述缓冲器装置相连,用于将传真图象数据转变成电子邮件格式数据,并且反之亦然;
电子邮件代理器,与所述转换装置相连;
用户识别确认装置,与所述电子邮件代理器相连,用于存贮/发送/接收功能;
电子管理器,与所述用户识别确认装置相连,以询址/送/收设备的指令、控制及状态;
输出装置,与所述电子管理器相连,用于存贮/拨号/连接所述设备到INTERNET全球域网络中的本地邮件服务器上;
第二装置,连接在第二台远程传真机和Internet全球域网络中的远程邮件服务器之间,其包括:
信号识别装置,与远程传真机相连,以判断发送/接收状态信息;
图象数据压缩/解压、存贮和传递缓冲器装置,与所述识别装置相连;
转换装置,与所述缓冲装置相连,用于将传真图象数据转变成电子邮件格式数据,
电子邮件代理器,与所述转变装置相连,
用户识别确认装置,具有存贮/发送/接收功能,与电子邮件代理器相连,
电子管理器与所述用户识别确认装置相连,用于询址/送/收设备的指令、控制和状态,
输出装置,与所述电子管理器相连,用于存贮/拨号/连接第二装置到Internet全球域网络中的远程邮件服务器上,
由此,输入到所述第一台传真机上的数据可以通过Internet全球域网络发送到第二台传真机上去,第二台传真机的输入可以通过Internet全球域网络传送到第一台传真机上去。
14.根据权利要求13的设备进一步包括加密/解密装置与所述转换装置及第一装置和第二装置每一个的电子邮件代理器相连,用于将所述转换的电子邮件格式数据有选择地编码和解码。
15.根据权利要求14所述设备系统进一步包括公共/私人双密钥加密/解密装置并带有从私人地址薄中访问和调出公共密钥的装置。
16.根据权利要求13所述设备系统,其中所述第一和第二装置的邮件代理器邮件服务器是Internt全球域网络中的商业邮件代理器商业邮件服务器。
17.根据权利要求13所述设备系统,其中所述在第一和第二装置中电子管理器包括取邮件查询装置以取得存在本地和远程邮件服务器上的电子邮件,并在第一和第二之一、二、三级传真机上打印出来。
18.根据权利要求17所述设备系统,其中所述查询装置包括邮件预览装置用于观察存贮的邮件并打印选择的项目。
19.通过Internet全球域网络传送一、二、三级传真图象的系统包括,与传真机输出端相连的设备,此设备具有以下部件,可操作的一起连接在所述传真机输入和普通电话线输出之间的总线上;
模拟数字转换器,将传真图象数据信号转换成数字格式;
高速RAM,用于存贮传递原传真数据到CPU和ASIC装置上用于转换成电子邮件数据流;
多个数字信号处理器,用于格式化所述数字流,
至少一个EPROM,含有商业用、私人、和/或公共的电子邮件代理器;
通用异步发送器/接收器小键盘,用于询址、编码、操作数据输入和显示状态的显示模式;
ASIC芯片,编程有编译算法用于在往返双向上将C11项数据转换成商业和/或公共电子邮件格式;
至少一个AD/DA转换器;
发送调制解调器和接收调制解调器;
线音/振铃发生器;
CPU,控制和导向数据流并在系统内处理数据。
20.根据权利要求19所述系统进一步包括闪速EPROM其中包括签字以及加密/解密,双密钥算法,用于编码/译码传真至传真、电子邮件至传真、以及传真到电子邮件的数据流。
21.根据权利要求20所述的系统其中EPROM包括有公共密钥查询指令集。
22.一种从本地传真机到选择的远程传真机通过电话线将加密的一、二、三级传真图象传送/接收的设备包括:
信号识别装置,连接本地传真机,用于判断发送/接收状态信息;
图象数据压缩/解压缩、存贮和传递缓冲装置,与所述识别装置相连;
公共/私人双密钥加密/解密装置,与所述缓冲器相连,用于将那里存贮的传真图象数据加密;
访问公共密钥地址薄的装置,与所述缓冲器相连,
电子管理器,与所述本地传真机相连,用于询址/发送/接收设备的指令、控制和状态;
输出装置,与所述管理器和电话线相连,用于存贮/拨号/连接所述设备到选择的远程传真机上;
信号识别装置,与所述的选择的远程传真机相连,以判断送/收状态信息;
图象数据压缩/解压缩、存贮和传递缓冲器装置,与连接到所述选择的远程传真机的所述识别装置相连;
公共/私人双密钥加密/解密装置,与所述远程缓冲器相连用于将所存贮的传真图象解密;
访问公共密钥地址薄装置,与所述的远程缓冲器装置相连;
询址/发送/接收设备的指令、控制、和状态的电子管理器,与控制接收、确认、解码和打印出收到的传真图象数据的远程传真机相连。
23.一种通过非传真图象兼容网络从本地传真机到选择的远程传真机发送/接收一、二、三级传真机图象数据及反之亦然的方法,包括:
将从本地发送的一、二、三级传真机的图象数据流存贮在本地存贮和传送缓冲器上;
将所述缓冲器中图象数据流转换成与网络相兼容的数据格式,并通过该网络传送传真数据;
将本地邮件代理器与所述存贮和传递缓冲器直接相连,还与所述代理器在网上的服务器相连通过该网络传送传真;
将存贮与传递缓冲器与所述的选择的远程传真机相连,
将远程邮件代理器与远程缓冲器和网络上的远程邮件代理服务器相连,通过该网络传送传真;
通过非传真图象数据兼容网络发送转换了的图象数据流和地址及用户识别确认信息至选择的远程邮件服务器上,此服务器位于远程的提供服务给所述的选择的远程邮件代理器的网络上;
接收与存贮所述数据流在所述的远程存贮和传递缓冲器上,缓冲器与所述的选择的远程传真机相连;
将所述收到和存贮的非传真图象数据流重新转换成一、二、三级传真机图象数据;
在所述的选择的远程、一、二、三级传真机上打印出所述的重新转换的图象数据。
24.权利要求23所述的方法还包括询查远程邮件服务器是否有存贮的邮件数据,以及在远程传真机上打印出选自存贮在所述远程邮件服务器中的邮件数据的再转换图象数据。
25.权利要求23中所述的方法进一步包括将在所述本地缓冲器中的图象数据流转换成商业相容的数据格式,并且
将商业邮件代理器直接连接到所述缓冲器上,并连接到网络上的商业邮件服务器上,通过该网络发送传真。
26.权利要求23中所述的方法进一步包括将从本地一、二、三级传真机上本地传输的图象数据流转换成电子邮件数据流格式;
将所述本地邮件代理器与Internet全球域网络中的电子邮件服务器相连;
通Internet全球域网络发送所述转换了的电子邮件数据流至所述选择的远程传真机的缓冲器上。
27.如权利要求23中所述的方法进一步包括将本地一、二、三的传真机本地传输的传真图象数据流转换成私人数据流格式;
连接所述本地邮件代理器到Internet全球域网络中的私人服务器上;
通过Internet全球域网络发送所述私人数据流至所述选择的远程传真机缓冲器上。
28.如权利要求23中所述的方法进一步包括在所述缓冲器中的图象数据流转换成商业和公共相容的数据格式;
连接所述缓冲器至选择的商业或公共邮件代理器上,及相应的Internet全球域网络上的邮件服务器;
通过Internet全球域网络发送转换过的图象数据至与发送传真机端的选择的商业或公共邮件代理器和服务器对应的远程邮件服务器和邮件代理器,
将所选择的远程商用或公共邮件代理器与所述选择的远程传真机相连的所述存贮和传递缓冲器相连。
29.如权利要求23中所述的方法进一步包括将已转换的图象数据流加密;
发送加密的转换的数据流至所述的选择的远程邮件服务器代理器上,以及
在再转换所述数据流成传真图象数据之前将收到和存贮在所述远程缓冲器上的数据流解密。
30.一种通过非传真图象数据兼容的网络连接本地传真机至选择的远程传真机以发送/接收一、二、三级传真机数据的系统中,将本地与远程相连的传真图象处理设备,包括:
信号识别装置,以判断发送/接收状态信息;
将图象压缩、存贮和传递的缓冲器装置,与所述识别装置相连;
转换装置与所述缓冲器装置相连,用以将图象数据转换成电子邮件数据格式、并且反之亦然;
电子邮件代理器,与所述转换装置相连;
加密装置,与所述转换装置和所述电子邮件代理器相连,以将转换的电子邮件数据有选择地编码和解码,并且包括公共/私人双密钥加密/解密装置与从私人地址薄中访问和检查公共密钥的装置;
用户识别确认装置,与所述电子邮件代理器相连,用于存贮/发送/接收功能;
电子管理器,与所述用户识别确认装置相连,用于询址/发送/接收设备的指令,控制和状态;
输出装置,与所述电子管理器相连,用于存贮/拨号/连接所述设备到全球域网络中的邮件服务器上;
将加密的传真图象数据从本地传送到远程传真机上的方法,包括:
绕过所有位于本地和远程的传真图象处理设备,除了加密/解密、信号识别、缓冲器、电子管理和输出设备之外以及
通过普通电话线将所述本地传真机和所述选择的远程传真图象处理设备连接到一起。
31.在一、二、三级传真机上接收电子邮件的方法,包括以下步骤:
将存贮和传递缓冲器与一、二、三级传真机相连;
连接存贮和传递缓冲器到本地电子邮件代理器,然后到邮件服务器上,此服务器为电子邮件网络的所述本地邮件代理器装置的;
在所述存贮和传递缓冲器中接收和存贮来自本地邮件代理器的电子信息数据流;
将收到和存贮的电子邮件数据流转换成一、二、三级传真机图象数据流;
在所述的一、二、三级传真机上打印出转换后所述的图象数据流。
32.如权利要求1中所述的设备,其中所述的电子管理器,包括具有至少如下操作键的电子键盘:
一个OWERTY键盘;
一个从1至0键盘;
领域键COM、NET、EDU、ORG、GOV和MIL;
功能键发送邮件,获取邮件,预览邮件,删除邮件,保密和打印;
询址键@、DOT;
每一个所述键在驱动时都引起必要的电子操作以在设备内完成指示的命令。
33.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中所述加密/解密装置包括附设的MIME/MOSS扩展器。
