Pronalazak se odnosi na elektrooptičke tečno-kristalne sastave od tečnokristalne smeše jedinjenja formule I gde je -nezavisno jedno od drugog je trans-1,4-cikloheksilen, 1,4-fenilen, 2-fluor-1,4-3-fluor-1,4-fenilen, a jedan od A1 i, a za prisutan, A2, takodje piridin-2,5-diil, pirimidin-2,5-diil, 1,3-dioksan-2,5-diil, tetrahidropiran-2,5-diil ili naftalin-2,6-diil, Z1 i Z2 nezavisno jedno od drugog je jednoguba veza, -CH2-CH2-,-COO-, -OCO-, -C=C-, CH2O- odnosno kombinacije ovih mostovnih grupa, Y i X nezavisno jedno od drugog znači H ili F, jedan od X i Y takodje Cl, W -CN, -Cl, -F, -CF3, -OCF3, OCHF2, NCS ili R2, R1 i R2 nezavisno jedno od drugog alkil sa 1-12 C-atoma, gde takodje jedna ili 2 nesusedne CH2- grupe mogu biti zamenjene sa -O- ili -CH=CH-, a m je o, 1 ili 2.
