Claims (7)

  1. 일반식(Ⅲ) 또는 (Ⅲ')의 메조겐성 화합물을 일반식(Ⅳ) 화합물과 반응시킴을 특징으로 하는 일반식(Ⅰ)의 키랄 에스테르의 제조방법.
    상기식에서
    MO는 메조겐성 하이드록실 화합물 MOH에서 H를 제거한 후의 분자 라디칼로서, 일반식 R2-(A1)n1-(B-)n2(A2)n3-0(Ⅱ)로 표시되며, 여기에서 R2는 직쇄 또는 측쇄(C1-C12)알킬 또는 알케닐(이때 인접하지 않은 CH2그룹 하나 또는 둘은 O 및/또는 S원자에 의해 치환될 수 있다)이거나, 또는 n1이 1인 경우에는 또한 F,Cl,Br 또는 CN이고, A1,A2는 각기 독립적으로 1,4-페닐렌, 피리미딘-2,5-디일,1,4-사이클로헥실렌, 1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일, 1,3-디티안-2,5-디일 또는 1,4-바이사이클로(2,2,2) 옥틸렌이며, 이때, 이들 그룹들은 F,Cl,Br,CN 및/또는 (C1-C12)알킬 (여기에서 인접하지 않은 CH2그룹 하나 또는 둘을 O 및/또는 S원자에 의해 임의로 치환된다)에 의해 적어도 일치환될 수 있고, B는 CO-O, O-CO, CH2-CH2, OCH2, CH2O, CH=N, N=CH, N=N, N(O)=N이며, n 1, n 2 및 n 3는 각기 독립적으로 0,1 또는 2이고 단, n 1 및 n 3 는 동시에 0이 아니고, Y는 F,Cl,Br,CN 또는 CF3이며, Me는 알칼리 또는 알칼리 토금속을 나타내며, m은 1 또는 2이고, X는 OH 또는 할로겐, 바람직하게는 염소이며, R1은 측쇄(C3-C9)알킬, 벤질 또는 페닐이고, 단 수득된 생성물에서 R1이 측쇄(C3-C7)알킬, 벤질 또는 페닐이고, Y가 F,Cl 또는 Br이며 R2가 (C,1-C11) 알콕시이고, A1, A2가 페닐이며, n 1, n 3가 1이고 n 2가 0인 화합물은 제외한다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, R2가 직쇄 또는 측쇄 (C4-C10) 알킬 또는 알케닐이고 이때, CH2그룹은 O 또는 S원자에 의해 치환될 수 있으며, A1및 A2는 각기 독립적으로 비치환된 1.4-페닐렌, 1.4-사이클로헥실렌 또는 피리미딘-2.5-디일이고, B는 CO-O, O-CO, CH2O 또는 CH=N이며, n 1 은 1 또는 2이고, n 2 는 0 또는 1이며 n 3 는 1 또는 2이고, Y는 Cl 또는 CF3이며 R1은 측쇄(C3-C6)알킬인 일반식(Ⅰ)의 화합물을 제조하는 방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 일반식(Ⅰ)의 라디칼 R1이 키랄 중심을 추가로 갖는 방법.
  4. 키랄 화합물 적어도 하나와 함께 일반식(Ⅰ)의 키랄 화합물 적어도 하나를 함유하는 꼬여질 수 있는 액정상.
  5. 제4항에서 청구한 액정상을 함유하는 액정 표시장치성분.
  6. 경사진 스멕틱 액정상을 강유전성 액정상으로 전환시키기 위한 일반식(Ⅰ)의 키랄 화합물의 용도.
  7. 일반식(Ⅰ) 화합물 적어도 하나가 액정상에 첨가된 키랄 화합물 적어도 하나를 첨가함으로써 경사진 스멕틱 액정상을 강유전성 액정상으로 전환시키는 방법.
