Claims (6)

  1. 적어도 2종의 키랄 성분과 적어도 1종의 비-키랄 성분의 혼합물인 액정 매질을 함유하는 일렉트로클리닉 효과에 의거한 표시소자에 있어서, 매질이 광학 활성 스메틱 A상의 상부에 피치 보상돤 콜레스테릭 상을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시소자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서 ,적어도 1종의 비-키랄 성분이 다음 일반식(Ⅰ)의 화합물이고, 적어도 1종의 키랄 성분 이 다음 일반식(Ⅱ) 의 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시소자.
    (Ⅰ)
    (Ⅱ)
    상기식에서 R1및 R2는 각기 독립하여 탄소수 5내지 15의 알킬 그룹이고, 여기에서 하나 또는 두개의 비인접 CH2그룹은 -O-, -S-,-CO-O-, -O-CO- 및/또는 -CH=CH-로 치환될 수 있고,는 불소로 임의 치환된 1,4-페닐렌 그룹이고, n 및 m은 각각 독립적으로 1또는 2이고, R3는 CN 또는 적어도 하나의 할로겐 원자로 임의 치환된 탄소수 5내지 15의 알킬 또는 알케닐 그룹이고, 여기에서 하나 또는 두개의 비인접 CH2그룹은 -O-, -CO-, -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -S- 및/또는 -C≡C-로 치환될 수 있으며, R4는 탄소수 8이하의 알킬 그룹이고, 여기에서 하나의 CH2그룹은 -O-, -CO-O-또는 -O-CO-로 치환 될 수 있으며, A1및 A2는 독립적으로 비치환되거나 또는 한번 또는 여러번 치환된1,4-시클로헥실렌 그룹(여기에서 하나 또는 두개의 비인접 CH2그룹은 -O- 및/또는 -S-로 치환될 수 있다), 또는 1,4-비시클로[2,2,2]옥틸렌 그룹 또는 불소로 임의 치환된 1,4-페닐렌 그룹 (여기에서 하나 또는 두개의 CH그룹은 N으로 치환될 수 있다)이고, X는 CN, Cl, F, BR, CH3또는 CF3이고 Y는 H또는 CH3이고, Z1은 -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -CH2CH2-, -CHCN-CH2-, -CH2-CHCN-, -CH=CH-, -C≡C-, -OCH2-, -CH2O-, -CH=N-, -N=CH-, -N-N-, -NO=N-, -N=NO- 또는 단일 결합이고, 0은 1,2또는 3이고, Q는 탄소수 1내지 7의 알킬렌 또는 알케닐렌 그룹(여기에서 하나의 CH2그룹은 -O-, -CO-O- 또는 -O-CO-로 치환될 수 있다)이며, 단, X, Y 및 R4는 서로 다른 그룹인 것을 조건으로 한다.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 적어도 1종의 성분이 다음 일반식(Ⅲ)의 화합물이고, 적어도 1종의 키랄 성분은 일반식(Ⅱ)의 화합물(여기에서 R3, R4, A1, A2, Y 및 Q는 상기항에서 정의된 바와 같다)인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시소자.
    (Ⅲ)
    상기식에서 R5및 R6은 각기 독립하여 탄소수 5내지 15의 알킬 그룹이고, 여기에서 하나 또는 두개의 CH그룹은-O-, -S-, -CO-O-, -O-CO- 및/또는 -CH=CH-로 치환될 수도 있고,는 불소로 임의 치환된1,4-페닐렌 그룹이고,는 불소로 임의 치환된 1,4-페닐렌 그룹 또는 트랜스-1,4-시 클로헥실렌 그룹이고, q는 0 또는 1이고, r은 1또는 2이다.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 일반식(Ⅰ)중 적어도 하나의 그룹이 불소로 치환된 1,4-페닐렌 그룹인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시소자.
  5. 제2항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 일반식(Ⅰ)중 R1및 R2가 각기 탄소수 5내지 15의 알킬 또는 알콕시인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시소자.
  6. 제3항에 있어서, 일반식(Ⅲ)중 R5및 R6가 각기 탄소수 5내지 15의 알킬 또는 알콕시인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시소자.
