DONDE EL METODO COMPRENDE: a) LIXIVIAR EL FANGO ANODICO PARA SEPARAR EL COBRE; b) CALCINAR EL FANGO EN DOS ETAPAS DE MODO QUE EL SELENIO ES SEPARADO COMO GAS DE SeO2 EN LA PRIMERA ETAPA A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 450°C Y 600°C, Y LOS METALES SON SULFATADOS CON ACIDO SULFURICO CONCENTRADO EN LA SEGUNDA ETAPA A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 300°C Y 420°C; c) SEPARAR LA PLATA SULFATADA DEL FANGO MEDIANTE LIXIVIACION EN UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA NEUTRA A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 80°C Y 100°C; d) SEPARAR EL ORO DEL RESIDUO OBTENIDO DE LA LIXIVIACION DE PLATA, MEDIANTE REDUCCION CON SO2 o EXTRACCION CON DIBUTIL ALCOHOL; Y, e) SEPARAR LOS METALES DE PLATINO DEL RESIDUO OBTENIDO DE LA SEPARACION DE ORO, MEDIANTE CEMENTACION CON HIERRO. PARTE DEL COBRE DEL FANGO ANODICO ES LIXIVIADA A PRESION NORMAL EN UNA SOLUCION DE ACIDO SULFURICO EN PRESENCIA DE OXIGENO, A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 80°C Y 100°C. LA PLATA ES SEPARADA DE LA SOLUCION LIXIVIADA DE (c) MEDIANTE CEMENTACION CON COBRE, EXTRACCION O ELECTROLISIS. EL RESIDUO DE LA LIXIVIACION DE (c) ES LIXIVIADO PARA SEPARAR TELURIO Y ARSENICO.
