Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparacion de un éster comprende llevar a cabo una esterificacion en presencia de un catalizador que comprende el producto de reaccion de un ortoéster o de un ortoéster condensado de titanio o de circonio, un alcohol que contiene por lo menos dos grupos hidroxilo, un ácido 2-hidroxi y una base. El procedimiento puede ser una esterificacion directa o una transesterificacion y puede ser una poliesterficacion. El catalizador puede producir efectivamenteésteres sin conducir a una nebulosidad en el producto final y existe una cantidad reducida de amarilleo de los poliésteres en comparacion con catalizadores conocidos.
