Abstract

Un método para formar un revestimiento sobre un envase de alimentos o bebidas, que incluye rociar una composición de revestimiento sobre una superficie interior del envase de alimentos o bebidas, en donde la composición de revestimiento incluye un copolímero de látex polimerizado en emulsión que tiene cadenas de copolímero de uno o más monómeros etilénicamente insaturados y uno o más monómeros de compensación de estireno. Preferentemente, la composición de revestimiento está prácticamente libre de BPA, PVC y estireno. El método puede incluir, además, curar la composición de revestimiento rociada y así proporcionar el revestimiento a la superficie interior del envase de alimentos o bebidas.
