COMPOSICIONES DEL LUBRICANTE ANTIMICROBIANO
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN
La presente invención se refiere a las composiciones antimicrobianas y métodos para la utilización de aquellas composiciones en varias aplicaciones médicas. Uno de los mayores retos del tratamiento médico moderno es controlar la infección y la propagación de organismos microbianos.
Un área donde este reto es constantemente presentado es en la terapia de infusión de varios tipos. La terapia de infusión es uno de los procedimientos más comunes para el cuidado de la salud. Pacientes hospitalizados, que tienen cuidado en el hogar, y otros que reciben fluidos, productos farmacéuticos, y productos de la sangre mediante un dispositivo de acceso vascular insertado en el sistema vascular. La terapia de infusión puede ser utilizada para tratar una infección, proporcionar anestesia o analgesia, proporcionar soporte nutricional, tratar el crecimiento de tumores cancerosos, mantener la presión arterial y el ritmo cardiaco, o muchos otros usos importantes clínicamente.
La terapia de infusión es facilitada por un dispositivo de acceso vascular. El dispositivo de acceso vascular puede tener acceso a la vasculatura central o periférica del paciente. El dispositivo de acceso vascular puede ser permanentes por corto tiempo (días), un plazo moderado (semanas), o un plazo largo (meses a años). El dispositivo de acceso vascular puede ser utilizado para una terapia de infusión continua o para una terapia intermitente.
Un dispositivo de acceso vascular común es un catéter plástico que se inserta en la vena del paciente. La longitud del catéter puede variar algunos centímetros para el acceso periférico, a muchos centímetros para el acceso central y puede in incluir dispositivos tales como los catéteres centrales insertados periféricamente (PICC). El catéter puede ser insertado de manera transcutánea o puede ser quirúrgicamente implantado por debajo de la piel del paciente. El catéter, o cualquier otro dispositivo de acceso vascular fijado a esto, pueden tener un lumen múltiple o único para la infusión de muchos fluidos simultáneos.
El dispositivo de acceso vascular comúnmente incluye un adaptador Luer al cual otros dispositivos médicos pueden ser fijados. Por ejemplo, un grupo de administración puede ser fijado a un dispositivo de acceso vascular en un extremo y una bolsa intravenosa (IV) en el otro. El grupo de administración es un conducto de fluido para la infusión continua de fluidos y productos farmacéuticos. Comúnmente, un dispositivo de acceso IV (intravenoso) es un dispositivo de acceso vascular que puede ser fijado a otro dispositivo de acceso vascular, cierra el dispositivo de acceso vascular, y permite la infusión intermitente o inyección de fluidos y productos farmacéuticos. Un dispositivo de acceso IV puede incluir un alojamiento y un espectro para cerrar el sistema. El espectro puede ser abierto con una cánula roma o un Luer macho de un dispositivo médico.
Cuando el Septum del dispositivo de acceso vascular falla al operar adecuadamente o tiene características de diseño inadecuadas, pueden ocurrir ciertas complicaciones. Las complicaciones asociadas con la terapia de infusión pueden causar la morbilidad significativa y aún la mortalidad. Una complicación importante es el catéter relacionado con la infección del flujo sanguíneo (CRBSI). Un cálculo de
250,000 - 4000,000 casos de catéter venoso central (CVC) asociado con BSIs ocurre anualmente en los hospitales de los EUA.
Un dispositivo de acceso vascular puede servir como nido de infección, dando como resultado un BSI (infección del flujo sanguíneo) diseminada. Esto puede ser causado por la falla regular de flujo del dispositivo, una técnica de inserción no estéril, o por patógenos que entran a la trayectoria de flujo fluido a través de cualquier extremo de la trayectoria subsiguiente al catéter de inserción. Cuando un dispositivo de acceso vascular se contamina, los patógenos se adhieren al dispositivo de acceso vascular, se colonizan y forman una biopelícula. La biopelícula es resistente a la mayoría de agentes de acción pesticida y proporciona la reposición de la fuente de patógenos que entran al torrente sanguíneo de un paciente y causan un BSI. Así los dispositivos con propiedades antimicrobianas son necesarios.
Un enfoque para evitar la formación de una biopelícula y la infección en el paciente es proporcionar un revestimiento antimicrobiano en varios dispositivos médicos y sus componentes. Muchos dispositivos médicos se hicieron con materiales ya sea metálicos y polimóricos. Estos materiales usualmente tienen un alto coeficiente de fricción. Un material de bajo peso molecular o líquido con un bajo coeficiente de fricción está generalmente compuesto en mayor parte de los materiales o revestido en la superficie de los sustratos para ayudar la funcionalidad de los dispositivos.
Durante los últimos 35 años, ha habido una práctica común para utilizar una solución de poliuretano termoplástico como el portador para los revestimientos antimicrobianos. El solvente es generalmente tetrahidrofurano (THF), dimetilformamida (DMF), o una mezcla de ambos. Ya que el THF puede ser oxidizado muy rápido y tiende a ser muy explosivo, es necesaria una instalación con revestimiento caro a
prueba de explosión. Estos solventes fuertes también atacan muchos de los materiales poliméricos comúnmente utilizados, incluyendo el poliuretano, silicona, poli-isopreno, policarbonato de caucho butílico, poliuretano rígido, cloruro de polivinilo rígido, acrílicos y caucho de estireno-butadieno (SBR). Por lo tanto, los dispositivos médicos hechos con estos materiales pueden distorsionarse con el tiempo y/o formar microfisuras en sus superficies. Otra cuestión con este tipo de revestimiento es que éste toma 24 horas para que el solvente evapore completamente el calor. En consecuencia, la tecnología convencional tiene problemas persistentes con el procesamiento, rendimiento y costo.
Otra limitación es la disponibilidad de los agentes antimicrobianos apropiados para su uso en revestimiento. Uno de los agentes antimicrobianos más comúnmente utilizados en el dispositivo médico de revestimiento es la plata. Sales de plata y el elemento de plata son bien conocidos como agentes antimicrobianos, tanto en la industria médica quirúrgica y la industria en general. Por lo general son incorporados en el material a granel poliméricos o revestimiento sobre la superficie de los dispositivos médicos por plasma, la evaporación por calor, la galvanoplastia, o por las tecnologías convencionales de revestimiento por disolvente. Estas tecnologías son tediosas y caras, y no amigables con el medio ambiente.
Además, el rendimiento de los dispositivos médicos recubiertos de plata es mediocre en el mejor de los casos. Por ejemplo, puede tomar hasta ocho (8) horas antes de que los iones de plata, ionizados de las sales de plata o un elemento de plata, alcancen la eficacia como agente antimicrobiano. Como resultado, la actividad microbiana importante puede ocurrir antes de que la capa de plata, entre en vigor. Además, el compuesto de plata o el elemento de plata tienen un color desagradable, de color ámbar oscuro a negro.
Los dispositivos para acceso vascular de este tipo pueden requerir, o se benefician de la utilización de un lubricante. Un lubricante se puede aplicar a las partes móviles del dispositivo con el fin de facilitar el impulso del septum. Sin embargo, con los lubricantes convencionales, las bacterias y otros microorganismos también pueden residir en el lubricante. Los lubricantes convencionales no están diseñados para prevenir o inhibir de forma significativa el crecimiento microbiano y la propagación. De hecho, los lubricantes convencionales pueden desempeñar un papel en la propagación de los agentes microbianos.
En consecuencia, existe una necesidad en la técnica para mejorar los métodos para proporcionar la capacidad antimicrobiana para los dispositivos médicos de diferentes tipos, y en particular los dispositivos relacionados con la terapia de infusión. En concreto, hay una necesidad de un lubricante antimicrobiano eficaz que pueda utilizarse en relación con varios tipos de dispositivos médicos. Hay una necesidad de un lubricante que ayuda a prevenir la propagación de microbios y puede ser útil y efectiva para matar los agentes microbianos al contacto.
BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓN
La presente invención se ha desarrollado en respuesta a los problemas y necesidades en la técnica que aún no se han resuelto por completo por composiciones antimicrobianas actualmente disponibles y los métodos. Por lo tanto, estas composiciones y métodos han sido desarrollados para reducir las complicaciones, tales como el riesgo y la aparición de CRBSIs, proporcionando mejores composiciones antimicrobianas y métodos para su uso en combinación con los dispositivos médicos.
Como se mencionó anteriormente, ciertos tipos de dispositivos médicos requieren un lubricante para operar suavemente y de manera efectiva. Si un dispositivo es movido repetidamente de una posición a otra, a menudo se emplea un lubricante. Un ejemplo de este tipo de dispositivo es un dispositivo de acceso IV del tipo descrito anteriormente. Estos dispositivos pueden, por ejemplo, tiene un septum que es accionado repetidamente. Por ejemplo, el septum se puede abrir con una cánula roma o un Luer macho de un dispositivo médico. Una vez que la cánula o Luer es removido, el septum debe retroceder a su configuración original de cerrado. Por lo tanto, los lubricantes pueden ser empleados con el fin de facilitar un desplazamiento suave y confiable del dispositivo.
Como resultado, en un aspecto, la invención comprende lubricantes que tiene propiedades antimicrobianas, y están destinados para su uso en dispositivos médicos. Los lubricantes de la presente invención son particularmente útiles en dispositivos de acceso intravascular como las válvulas sin aguja del tipo descrito anteriormente. Los dispositivos médicos se componen de sustratos poliméricos, especialmente sustratos elastoméricos (por ejemplo, poliuretano, silicona, poli-isopreno, caucho butílico). Sus superficies están cubiertas con el lubricante, que contiene agentes antimicrobianos distribuidos uniformemente a lo largo de su matriz. Los agentes antimicrobianos son capaces de difundirse a través de la matriz y matar a los organismos microscópicos que entran en contacto con la superficie del lubricante.
Las formulaciones del lubricante en la presente invención se componen de una mezcla o una combinación de uno o más lubricantes, modificadores reológicos opcional, y los agentes antimicrobianos. En la mezcla, las nano-o micro-partículas dimensionadas de los agentes antimicrobianos están uniformemente distribuidas a lo largo y permanente distribuidas a través del lubricante de la matriz. Los modificadores
reológicos se utilizan según sea necesario para controlar las propiedades de la mezcla resultante. La formulación del lubricante es menos solvente. Por lo tanto, se evitan los problemas mencionados anteriormente cuando se utilizan solventes fuertes como el THF y D F.
El aceite lubricante puede ser polidimetilsiloxano, politrifluoropropilmethil siloxano, o un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxano. Es preferible que estos materiales tengan una viscosidad de menos de 50.000 cps.
Como se mencionó anteriormente, en algunas modalidades, es preferible añadir un modificador reológico de los materiales mencionados anteriormente. Ejemplos de dichos modificadores reológicos incluyen arcilla orgánica, cera de ricino, cera de poliamida, poliuretano y sílice ahumado. Cualquier modificador reológico, que es compatible con el lubricante y los agentes antimicrobianos es aceptable para su uso en la composición.
Un agente antimicrobiano se añade también a la composición del lubricante. El agente antimicrobiano puede ser cualquier agente que es compatible con los otros componentes de la formulación del lubricante. Además, se prefiere que el agente antimicrobiano supere ciertas limitaciones de la técnica anterior. En algunas modalidades, los agentes antimicrobianos pueden ser seleccionados del grupo que consiste de aldehidos, anilidas, biguanidas, elemento de plata, o su compuesto, bis-fenoles, compuestos de amonio cuaternario, cloruro de cetil pyridium, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina, cloruro de benzalconio, y o-ftalaldehído.
En algunas modalidades de la invención, estos componentes se mezclan de manera uniforme a fin de producir el lubricante antimicrobiano de la invención. Por lo
tanto, la fabricación y el procesamiento son relativamente fáciles y baratos. Además, dado que los agentes antimicrobianos están distribuidos uniformemente en el lubricante de la matriz, poco a poco se difunden a la matriz. Esto se traduce en el control de los agentes microbiológicos y, específicamente, en la muerte de los microbios que entran en contacto con la superficie del lubricante.
Por lo tanto, la presente invención proporciona lubricantes antimicrobianos que son efectivos cuando se usan en relación con los dispositivos médicos. El lubricante proporciona una lubricación efectiva de los dispositivos médicos, mientras que al mismo tiempo proporciona importantes propiedades antimicrobianas. El lubricante está formulado sin el uso de solventes agresivos u otros agentes químicos que complicaría el procesamiento y la formulación. Además, la formulación es eficaz como un agente antimicrobiano ya que el agente antimicrobiano está disponible para difundir a través de los lubricantes y llegar al lugar de la actividad microbiana.
BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DIBUJOS

DESCRIPCIÓN DETALLADA DE LA INVENCIÓN
Refiriéndonos ahora a la Figura 1 , un dispositivo de acceso vascular (también conocido como un dispositivo extravascular, dispositivo de acceso por vía intravenosa, puerto de acceso, y / o cualquier otro dispositivo conectado a o funcionamiento con un sistema de extravascular) 10 se utiliza para introducir una sustancia a través de un catéter 12 a través de la piel 14 y en el vaso sanguíneo 16 de un paciente 18. El dispositivo de acceso vascular 10 incluye un cuerpo 20 con un lumen y un septum 22 colocado dentro del lumen. El septum 22 tiene una abertura 24 a través de la cual un dispositivo independiente extravascular 26, como una jeringa, puede introducir una sustancia en el dispositivo de acceso vascular 10.
El dispositivo 10 también incluye un lubricante antimicrobiano 40 aplicado al septum 22 con el fin de facilitar el funcionamiento del dispositivo y para inhibir el crecimiento y propagación de organismos microbianos. El lubricante ayuda a evitar que los patógenos microbianos en el dispositivo de acceso vascular 10, incluyendo el catéter 12 y el extremo 32 del catéter 12, y / o el sistema extravascular 28 al que está conectado el dispositivo de acceso vascular 10. El lubricante contacta con los patógenos microbianos al entrar en el septum 22 para disminuir la incidencia de infecciones del torrente sanguíneo en pacientes a los que se fija el dispositivo de acceso vascular 10 o cualquier otro dispositivo en un sistema extravascular 28.
Un patógeno puede entrar en el dispositivo 10 o sistema 28 en cualquier número de formas. Por ejemplo, un agente patógeno puede residir dentro del dispositivo 10 o sistema 28 antes del primer uso. Un patógeno también puede ser introducido en el dispositivo 10 de la superficie externa del dispositivo, la superficie extema de un dispositivo independiente 26. y/o el medio ambiente circundante, cuando
una estructura como una punta 30 del dispositivo separado 26 se inserta en el dispositivo 10 a través de la hendidura 24 del septum 22. Un patógeno puede ser introducido en el líquido que se instila en el sistema desde un dispositivo independiente 26. Por último, un patógeno puede ser introducido desde un vaso sanguíneo 16 en el sistema 28, entrando por el extremo 32 del catéter 12 durante una extracción de sangre o un período de reflujo de sangre cuando el dispositivo 10 está en uso. Como se discutió anteriormente, el lubricante antimicrobiano de la presente invención puede comprender un aceite lubricante; un modificador reológico; y un agente antimicrobiano. El aceite lubricante es cualquier material que es capaz de lubricar el dispositivo médico seleccionado al que se aplica. Para muchos de los tipos de dispositivos que se describen en este documento, el aceite lubricante se selecciona generalmente a partir del grupo formado por polidimetilsiloxano, siloxano de politrifluoropropilmethil, y un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxano. En algunas modalidades preferidas, el aceite lubricante es un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxano. En algunas modalidades, el aceite lubricante tiene una viscosidad de 50.000 cps o menos, y preferentemente de 1000 cps o menos.
La composición lubricante antimicrobiana también puede comprender uno o más modificadores reologicos. En ciertas modalidades preferentes, el modificador reológico se añade en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,2 a 30 partes por peso de
100 partes por peso de aceite lubricante. En otras modalidades preferentes la composición lubricante puede comprender un modificador reológico en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,2 a 20 partes por peso de los modificadores de reología en 100 partes por peso de aceite lubricante. En otras modalidades preferentes, la composición lubricante puede contener un modificador reológico en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,2 a 10 partes por peso de los modificadores de reología en 100 partes por peso de aceite lubricante.
Como se mencionó anteriormente, en ciertas modalidades, el modificador reológico se selecciona del grupo formado por arcilla orgánica, cera de ricino, cera de poliamida, poliuretano y sílice ahumado. En ciertos casos la sílice ahumada puede ser preferible. Sin embargo, se pueden utilizar otros modificadores reológicos como se desee.
La composición también puede contener uno o más agentes antimicrobianos.
El agente antimicrobiano se selecciona de manera que sea compatible con los otros componentes de la composición lubricante antimicrobiana. Además, el agente antimicrobiano es compatible con el dispositivo médico al que se aplica la composición del lubricante antimicrobiano.
En general, el agente antimicrobiano está presente en la composición del lubricante antimicrobiano en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,5 a 50 partes por peso de 100 partes de aceite lubricante. En ciertas otras modalidades, el agente antimicrobiano puede estar presente en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,5 a 30 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso de aceite lubricante. En ciertas modalidades, el agente antimicrobiano puede estar presente en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,5 a 20 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso del aceite lubricante.
Los agentes antimicrobianos aceptables pueden incluir, pero no se limitan a, aldehidos, anilidas, biguanidas, bis-fenoles y compuestos de amonio cuaternario. En ciertas modalidades, el agente antimicrobiano puede ser seleccionado entre el grupo formado por cloruro de cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina, cloruro de benzalconio, y o-ftalaldehído.
En resumen, en ciertas modalidades la composición lubricante antimicrobiana puede estar formulada de lo siguiente: un lubricante seleccionado del grupo que consiste en polidimetilsiloxano, politrif luoropropilmethil siloxaho, y un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxane, un modificador reológico seleccionado del grupo formado por arcilla orgánica, cera de ricino, cera de poliamida, poliuretano y sílice ahumado, y un agente antimicrobiano seleccionado del grupo formado por cloruro de cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina, cloruro de benzalconio, y o-ftalaldehído.
EJEMPLOS
Ejemplo 1
La Tabla 1 muestra la muerte por contacto y la zona de inhibición de diferentes formulaciones de lubricantes. Como se muestra en la Tabla 1 , el elemento de plata (10) y el compuesto de plata (3, 4 y 5) todos tienen una muerte por contacto relativamente baja hasta 8 horas después. El cloruro de cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina y cloruro de benzalconio tienen una muerte por contacto significativa en un minuto.

5 También se aprecia que el lubricante con una viscosidad de menos de 50.000
cps generalmente se prefiere. Dichos lubricantes pueden ser los siguientes: polidimetilsiloxano con una viscosidad de menos de 50.000 cps, trifluoropropilo copolímero de polisiloxano con una viscosidad de menos de 50.000 cps, y un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxane con una viscosidad de 10 menos de 50.000 cps.
Como se mencionó anteriormente, los modificadores reológicos pueden ser de arcilla orgánica, cera de ricino, cera de poliamida, poliuretano, sílice ahumado, etc. La cantidad de modificador debe ser inferior a 30 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso 15 de lubricante, preferentemente menos de 20 partes por peso, y más preferentemente
entre 0,2 y 10 partes por peso de 100 partes del lubricante.
Los agentes antimicrobianos pueden ser aldehidos, anilidas, biguanidas, elemento de plata o su compuesto, bis-fenoles y compuestos de amonio cuaternario 20 de las formulaciones. En algunas modalidades preferentes los agentes pueden ser cloruro de cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, y cloruro de benzalconio, alexidina o diacetato de
clorhexidina. La cantidad de agente en la formulación debe ser inferior a 50 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso del lubricante, preferentemente menos de 30 partes por peso, y más preferentemente entre 0,5 y 20 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso del lubricante.
La presente invención puede realizarse en otras formas específicas sin apartarse de sus estructuras, métodos, u otras características esenciales, como se describe ampliamente en este documento y se reclama más adelante. Las modalidades descritas deben ser consideradas en todos los aspectos sólo como ilustrativas, y no restrictivas. El alcance de la invención es, por tanto, indicado en las reivindicaciones anexas, en lugar de la descripción anterior. Todos los cambios que vienen dentro del significado y el rango de equivalencia de las reivindicaciones serán comprendidas dentro de su alcance.
Claims (18)
1. Una composición lubricante antimicrobiana, que comprende: un aceite lubricante; un modificador reológico y un agente antimicrobiano seleccionado del grupo que consiste de aldehidos, anilidas, biguanidas, bis-fenoles, compuestos de amonio cuaternario, cloruro de cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina, cloruro de benzalconio, y o-ftalaldehído.
2. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 caracterizada además porque el agente antimicrobiano se selecciona del grupo formado por los aldehidos, anilidas, biguanidas, la plata, compuestos de plata, bis-fenoles y compuestos de amonio cuaternario.
3. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 , caracterizada además porque el agente antimicrobiano se selecciona del grupo formado por cloruro de cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina, cloruro de benzalconio, y o-ftalaldehído.
4. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 , caracterizada además porque el lubricante se selecciona del grupo formado por polidimetilsiloxano, polytrifluoropropylmethyl siloxano, y un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxane.
5. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación, caracterizada además porque el lubricante es un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxane.
6. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 , caracterizada además porque el lubricante tiene una viscosidad de 50.000 cps o menos.
7. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 , caracterizada además porque el modificador reológico se selecciona del grupo formado por arcilla orgánica, cera de ricino, cera de poliamida, poliuretano y sílice ahumado.
8. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 7, caracterizada además porque la composición comprende modificador reológico en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,2 partes por peso a aproximadamente 30 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso de los aceites lubricantes.
9. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 7, caracterizada además porque la composición comprende un modificador reológico en una cantidad de aproximadamente 0,2 partes por peso a aproximadamente 20 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso de los aceites lubricantes.
10. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 7, caracterizada además porque la composición comprende un modificador reológico en una cantidad de aproximadamente 0,2 partes por peso a aproximadamente 10 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso de los aceites lubricantes.
11. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 , caracterizada además porque el modificador reológico es sílice ahumado.
12. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 , caracterizada además porque la composición comprende un agente antimicrobiano en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,5 partes por peso a aproximadamente 50 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso de los aceites lubricantes.
13. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación, caracterizada además porque la composición comprende un agente antimicroblano en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,5 partes por peso a aproximadamente 30 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso de los aceites lubricantes.
14. La composición lubricante antimicrobiana de conformidad con la reivindicación 1 , caracterizada además porque la composición comprende un agente antimicrobiano en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,5 partes por peso a aproximadamente 20 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso de los aceites lubricantes.
15. Una composición de lubricante antimicrobiano, caracterizada porque además comprende: un aceite lubricante seleccionado del grupo que consiste en polidimetilsiloxano, politrifluoropropilmethil siloxano, y un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxane; un modificador reológico seleccionado del grupo que consiste de arcilla orgánica, cera de ricino, cera de poliamida, poliuretano y sílice ahumado, y un agente antimicrobiano seleccionado del grupo consistente de cloruro de cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina, cloruro de benzalconio, y o-ftalaldehído.
16. El lubricante antimicrobiano de conformidad con la reivindicación 15, caracterizado además porque la composición comprende un modificador reológico en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,2 a 30 partes por peso de 100 partes por peso del aceite lubricante.
17. El lubricante antimicrobiano de conformidad con la reivindicación 15, caracterizado además porque la composición comprende un agente antimicrobiano en la cantidad de aproximadamente 0,5 a 50 partes por peso de alrededor de 100 partes por peso del aceite lubricante.
18. Una composición de lubricante antimicrobiano, caracterizada porque además comprende: un aceite lubricante que comprende un copolímero de dimetilsiloxano y trifluoropropilmethilsiloxane; un modificador reológico que comprende sílice ahumada, y un agente antimicrobiano seleccionado del grupo formado por cloruro cetilpiridinio, cetrimida, alexidina, diacetato de clorhexidina, y cloruro de benzalconio.
