Abstract
본 발명은 보다 광학 기록 용도에 적합한 열거동을 나타내는 신규의 시아닌 화합물, 이것을 함유하는 광학 기록 재료 및 광학 기록 매체를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

Description
본 발명은 신규의 시아닌 화합물에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는, 광학 요소 등,특히 화상 표시 장치의 광학 필터 용도 또는 레이저광에 의한 광학 기록 재료에 적합한 특정의 구조를 갖는 시아닌 화합물에 관한 것이다.
500∼700nm의 범위에 강도가 큰 흡수를 갖는 화합물, 특히 극대 흡수(λmax)가 550∼620nm에 있는 화합물은 DVD-R 등의 광학 기록 매체의 기록층이나, 액정 표시 장치(LCD), 플라스마 디스플레이 패널(PDP), 전자발광 디스플레이(ELD), 음극관 표시 장치(CRT), 형광 표시관, 전계 방사형 디스플레이 등의 화상 표시 장치의 광학 필터의 광학 요소로서 사용되고 있다.
상기의 광학 요소로서는 감도가 높은 인돌 고리(indole ring)를 갖는 시아닌 화합물이 수많이 검토되고 있다. 상기 시아닌 화합물은, 특히 DVD-R로 대표되는 광학 기록 매체의 기록 요소로서, 기록의 고속화에 대응할 수 있는 장점이 있으므로 보고예가 많으며, 하기 특허문헌 1∼4 등에서 보고되어 있다. 예를 들면, 하기 특허문헌 1∼3에는, 인돌 골격 3-위치(position)에 아랄킬기(aralkyl group)를 가져도 좋은 시아닌 화합물이 기재되어 있으며, 이들 시아닌 화합물은 본 발명의 시아 닌 화합물에 유사한 것이지만, 시아닌계 화합물에 아랄킬기를 도입하는 방법이나 그 효과에 대해서는 기재되어 있지 않다. 또한, 이들을 포함하여, 종래의 시아닌계 화합물은 열분해 특성에 문제가 있다. 광학 기록 재료로서는 분해 온도가 낮은 것이 적합하지만, 하기 특허문헌 1∼4에 기재된 시아닌계 화합물은 이 점에서 충분한 특성을 갖고 있는 것은 아니었다.

해결하고자 하는 문제점은, 상술한 바와 같이, 특히 광학 기록 매체의 기록 요소로서 유용하고 고속 기록에 적합한 열분해 거동을 나타내는 화합물이 지금까지 얻어지고 있지 않다는 것이다.
따라서, 본 발명의 목적은, 보다 광학 기록 용도에 적합한 열거동을 나타내는 신규의 시아닌 화합물, 이것을 함유하는 광학 기록 재료 및 광학 기록 매체를 제공하는 데 있다.
본 발명자들은 고속 기록에 대응할 수 있는 감도를 실현하기 위해서는 열분해 거동의 적정화 및 흡수 파장의 적정화가 유효하다고 생각하고, 검토를 거듭한 결과, 특정의 분자 구조를 갖는 시아닌계 화합물이, 상기 과제를 해결할 수 있는 것을 지견(知見)하였다.
본 발명은 상기 지견에 기초하여 이루어진 것으로, 하기 화학식 1로 표현되는 시아닌 화합물, 기체(基體)상에 광학 기록층이 형성된 광학 기록 매체의 상기 광학 기록층에 사용되는, 상기 시아닌 화합물을 함유하여 이루어지는 광학 기록 재료, 및 기체상에, 광학 기록층으로서 상기 광학 기록 재료로 이루어지는 박막을 형성한 광학 기록 매체를 제공하는 것이다.

상기 화학식 1로 표현되는 본 발명의 시아닌계 화합물은 특정의 부위에 벤질기를 갖는 신규 화합물이며, DVD-R용도의 광학 기록 재료에 사용되는 다른 시아닌계 화합물보다도 분해 온도가 낮고, 흡수 파장이 적정한 특징을 갖는 것이다.
상기 화학식 1에 있어서, 고리 A 및 고리 B로 표현되는 치환기를 가져도 좋은 벤젠 고리 또는 나프탈렌 고리의 치환기로서는, 불소, 염소, 취소(臭素), 옥소 등의 할로겐기; 메틸, 에틸, 프로필, 이소프로필, 부틸, 제2부틸(sec-butyl), 제3부틸(tert-butyl), 이소부틸, 아밀, 이소아밀, 제3아밀(tert-amyl), 헥실, 시클로헥실, 헵틸, 이소헵틸, 제3헵틸(tert-heptyl), n-옥틸, 이소옥틸, 제3옥틸(tert-octyl), 2-에틸헥실 등의 알킬기; 페닐, 나프틸, 2-메틸페닐, 3-메틸페닐, 4-메틸페닐, 4-비닐페닐, 3-이소프로필페닐 등의 아릴기; 메톡시, 에톡시, 프로폭시, 이 소프로폭시, 부톡시, 제2부톡시(sec-butoxy), 제3부톡시(tert-butoxy) 등의 알콕시기; 메틸티오(methylthio), 에틸티오(ethylthio), 프로필티오(propylthio), 이소프로필티오, 부틸티오, 제2부틸티오(sec-butylthio), 제3부틸티오(tert-butylthio) 등의 알킬티오기; 니트로기(nitro group), 시아노기(cyano group) 등을 들 수 있다.
또한, R1∼R4로 표현되는 기는 R1과 R2가 벤질기이거나, R3과 R4가 벤질기이거나, R1∼R4 모두가 벤질기이다. R1∼R4는 벤질기 이외의 기인 경우는 탄소수 1∼4의 알킬기, 또는 R1과 R2 혹은 R3과 R4가 연결해서 3∼6원환을 형성하는 기이다. 상기 알킬기로서는 메틸, 에틸, 프로필, 이소프로필, 부틸, 제2부틸, 제3부틸, 이소부틸 등을 들 수 있고, 상기 3∼6원환기로서는, 시클로프로판-1,1-디일(diyl), 시클로부탄-1,1-디일, 2,4-디메틸시클로부탄-1,1-디일, 3,3-디메틸시클로부탄-1,1-디일, 시클로펜탄-1,1-디일, 시클로헥산-1,1-디일, 테트라히드로피란(tetrahydropyran)-4,4-디일, 티안(thiane)-4,4-디일, 피페리딘-4,4-디일, N-치환 피페리딘-4,4-디일, 몰포린-2,2-디일, 몰포린-3,3-디일, N-치환 몰포린-2,2-디일, N-치환 몰포린-3,3-디일 등을 들 수 있으며, 그 N-치환기로서는, 고리 A의 치환기로서 예시한 것을 들 수 있다.
Y1 또는 Y2로 표현되는 탄소수 1∼30의 유기기로서는, 특별히 제한을 받는 것은 아니지만, 예를 들면, 메틸, 에틸, 프로필, 이소프로필, 부틸, 제2부틸, 제3부틸, 이소부틸, 아밀, 이소아밀, 제3아밀, 헥실, 시클로헥실, 시클로헥실메틸, 2-시클로헥실에틸, 헵틸, 이소헵틸, 제3헵틸, n-옥틸, 이소옥틸, 제3옥틸, 2-에틸헥 실, 노닐, 이소노닐, 데실, 도데실, 트리데실, 테트라데실, 펜타데실, 헥사데실, 헵타데실, 옥타데실 등의 알킬기; 비닐, 1-메틸에테닐, 2-메틸에테닐, 프로페닐, 부테닐, 이소부테닐, 펜테닐, 헥세닐, 헵테닐, 옥테닐, 데세닐(decenyl), 펜타데세닐(pentadecenyl), 1-페닐프로펜-3-일 등의 알케닐기; 페닐, 나프틸, 2-메틸페닐, 3-메틸페닐, 4-메틸페닐, 4-비닐페닐, 3-이소프로필페닐, 4-이소프로필페닐, 4-부틸페닐, 4-이소부틸페닐, 4-제3부틸페닐, 4-헥실페닐, 4-시클로헥실페닐, 4-옥틸페닐, 4-(2-에틸헥실)페닐, 4-스테아릴페닐, 2,3-디메틸페닐, 2,4-디메틸페닐, 2,5-디메틸페닐, 2,6-디메틸페닐, 3,4-디메틸페닐, 3,5-디메틸페닐, 2,4-디제3부틸페닐, 시클로헥실페닐 등의 알킬아릴기; 벤질, 페네틸(phenethyl), 2-페닐프로판-2-일, 디페닐메틸, 트리페닐메틸, 스티릴, 신나밀(cinnamyl) 등의 아릴알킬기, 및 이들의 탄화수소기가 에테르 결합, 티오에테르 결합으로 중단된 것, 예를 들면, 2-메톡시에틸, 3-메톡시프로필, 4-메톡시부틸, 2-부톡시에틸, 메톡시에톡시에틸, 메톡시에톡시에톡시에틸, 3-메톡시부틸, 2-페녹시에틸, 2-메틸티오에틸, 2-페닐티오에틸을 들 수 있고, 또한 이들 기(基)는 알콕시기, 알케닐기, 니트로기, 시아노기, 할로겐 원자 등으로 치환되어 있어도 좋다.
상기의 Y1 및 Y2는 치환기가 크면 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물의 몰흡광 계수가 작아져서, 감도에 영향을 미치는 경우가 있으므로, 탄소수 1∼8의 탄화수소기가 바람직하고, 탄소수 1∼8의 알킬기가 보다 바람직하다.
또한, Anm-로 표현되는 음이온으로서는, 예를 들면, 1가의 것으로서, 염소 음이온, 취소 음이온, 옥소 음이온, 불소 음이온 등의 할로겐 음이온; 과염소산 음이온, 염소산 음이온, 티오시안산 음이온, 헥사플루오로포스페이트(hexafluorophosphate) 음이온, 헥사플루오로안티모네이트(hexafluoroantimonate) 음이온, 테트라플루오로보레이트 음이온 등의 무기계 음이온; 벤젠술폰산 음이온, 톨루엔술폰산 음이온, 트리플루오로메탄술폰산 음이온, 디페닐아민-4-술폰산 음이온, 2-아미노-4-메틸-5-클로로벤젠술폰산 음이온, 2-아미노-5-니트로벤젠술폰산 음이온 등의 유기 술폰산 음이온; 옥틸인산 음이온, 도데실인산(dodecylphosphate) 음이온, 옥타데실인산(octadecylphosphate) 음이온, 페닐인산 음이온, 노닐페닐인산 음이온, 2,2'-메틸렌비스(4,6-디제3부틸페닐)포스폰산 음이온 등의 유기 인산계 음이온 등을 들 수 있으며, 2가의 것으로서는, 예를 들면, 벤젠디술폰산 음이온, 나프탈렌디술폰산 음이온 등을 들 수 있다. 또한, 여기(勵起) 상태에 있는 활성 분자를 탈여기시키는(켄칭(quenching)시키는) 기능을 갖는 켄처(quencher) 음이온이나 시클로펜타디에닐 고리에 카르복실기나 포스폰산기, 술폰산기 등의 음이온성 기(基)를 갖는 페로센(ferrocene), 루테노센(ruthenocene) 등의 메탈로센 화합물 음이온 등도 필요에 따라서 사용할 수 있다.
상기의 켄처 음이온으로서는, 예를 들면, 하기 화학식 2의 (A) 또는 (B)로 표현되는 것, 일본국 특허공개 소60-234892호 공보, 일본국 특허공개 평5-43814호 공보, 일본국 특허공개 평6-239028호 공보, 일본국 특허공개 평9-309886호 공보, 일본국 특허공개 평10-45767호 공보 등에 기재된 것과 같은 음이온을 들 수 있다.
(식 중, M은 니켈 원자 또는 구리 원자를 나타내고, R5 및 R6은 할로겐 원자, 탄소수 1∼8의 알킬기, 탄소수 6∼30의 아릴기 또는 -SO2-Z기를 나타내며, Z는 알킬기, 할로겐 원자로 치환되어 있어도 좋은 아릴기, 디알킬아미노기, 디아릴아미노기, 피페리디노기(piperidino group) 또는 몰포리노기(morpholino group)를 나타내고, a 및 b는 각각 0∼4를 나타낸다. 또한, R7, R8, R9 및 R10은 각각 독립적으로, 알킬기, 알킬페닐기, 알콕시페닐기 또는 할로겐화 페닐기를 나타낸다.)
상기 화학식 1로 표현되는 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물의 구체예로서는, 하기 화합물 No.1∼27을 들 수 있다. 한편, 이하의 예시에서는, 음이온을 생략한 시아닌 화합물 양이온으로 나타내고 있다.
상기의 시아닌 화합물 양이온 중에서도, 광학 기록 재료로서의 열적 거동이 양호하므로, 2개의 벤질기가 결합하는 인돌 골격을 구성하는 고리(상기 화학식 1에 있어서의 고리 A 및/또는 고리 B)가 나프탈렌 고리인 것(예를 들면, 화합물 No.10∼18, 20∼27)이 바람직하고, 인돌 고리의 e면에 벤젠 고리가 축합한 것(예를 들면, 화합물 No.10∼16, 20∼25)이 보다 바람직하다. 이것은 2개의 벤질기와 벤조인돌 고리(benzoindole ring)와의 입체 장해에 의한 고리 구조의 일그러짐이 보다 커지는 것에 기인한다고 고찰된다.
또한, 예를 들면 화합물 No.19∼27과 같이, R1 내지 R4 모두가 벤질기인 것은 분자 전체의 일그러짐이 커지고, 상기와 동일한 효과가 얻어지는 경우가 있으므로 바람직하다.
상기 화학식 1로 표현되는 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물은 그 제조법에 의해 제 한을 받는 것은 아니다. 상기 시아닌 화합물은, 예를 들면, 중간체인 2-메틸인돌 4급염 유도체 2개를 N,N′-디페닐아미딘(diphenylamidine) 등의 브리지제(bridging agent)와 반응시킴으로써 얻어진다. 또한, 2개의 인접하는 벤질기는 중간체인 2-메틸인돌 4급염 유도체를 얻는 과정에 있어서 도입할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 아릴히드라진(arylhydrazine) 유도체를 출발 물질로 하고, 1,1-디벤질아세톤에 의해 인돌 고리를 형성할 때에 도입해도 좋고, 또한, 아릴히드라진 유도체를 출발 물질로 하고, 4-페닐-2-부타논(butanone)에 의해 인돌 고리를 형성할 때에 1개를 도입하고, 또 1개를 인돌 고리에 할로겐화 메틸벤젠 유도체를 반응시켜서 도입해도 좋다. Y1 또는 Y2는 아릴아민 유도체 또는 인돌 고리의 NH와 반응하는 Y1-D 또는 Y2-D(D는 염소, 취소, 옥소 등의 할로겐기; 페닐술포닐옥시, 4-메틸페닐술포닐옥시, 4-클로로페닐술포닐옥시(chlorophenylsulfonyloxy) 등의 술포닐옥시기)에 의해 도입할 수 있다. 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물을 얻는 구체적인 방법의 일례로서는, 하기 화학식 6에 나타나는 루트(route)를 들 수 있다.
(식 중, 고리 A, 고리 B, R3, R4, Y1, Y2, Anm -, m 및 p는 상기 화학식 1과 동일하며, D는 염소, 취소, 옥소 등의 할로겐기, 또는 술포닐옥시기를 나타낸다.)
본 발명의 시아닌 화합물은 광학 요소로서 기능하는 것으로, 광학 기록 매체의 광학 기록층으로서 특히 적합하다. 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물을 함유하는 광학 기록층은 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물을 함유하는 광학 기록 재료를 사용하여, 기체(基體)상에 박막으로서 형성된다. 한편, 본 발명의 광학 기록 재료는 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물 그 자체, 및 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물과 후술하는 유기 용매 및/또는 각종 화합물과의 혼합물을 포함한다.
광학 기록 매체의 기록층의 형성 방법으로서는, 특별히 제한을 받는 것은 아니지만, 일반적으로는, 메탄올, 에탄올 등의 저급 알코올류; 메틸셀로솔브(methyl cellosolve), 에틸셀로솔브(ethyl cellosolve), 부틸셀로솔브(butyl cellosolve), 부틸디글리콜 등의 에테르알코올류; 아세톤, 메틸에틸케톤, 메틸이소부틸케톤, 시 클로헥사논, 디아세톤알코올 등의 케톤류; 에틸 아세테이트(ethyl acetate), 부틸 아세테이트(butyl acetate), 메톡시에틸 아세테이트(methoxyethyl acetate) 등의 에스테르류; 아크릴산에틸, 아크릴산부틸 등의 아크릴산에스테르류; 2,2,3,3-테트라플루오로프로판올 등의 플루오로알코올류(fluoroalcohols); 벤젠, 톨루엔, 크실렌 등의 탄화수소류; 메틸렌디클로라이드, 디클로로에탄, 클로로포름 등의 염소화 탄화수소류 등의 유기 용매에 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물 등을 용해한 용액을, 기체상에 스핀코팅, 스프레이, 딥핑(dipping) 등으로 도포하는 습식 도포법이 사용된다. 그 밖의 방법으로서는 증착법, 스퍼터링법 등을 들 수 있다.
상기 광학 기록층의 두께는, 통상, 0.001∼10μ이고, 바람직하게는 0.01∼5μ의 범위가 적당하다.
또한, 광학 기록 매체의 광학 기록층에 있어서의 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물의 함유량은 바람직하게는 50∼100중량%이다. 이와 같은 시아닌 화합물 함유량의 광학 기록층을 형성하기 위하여, 본 발명의 광학 기록 재료는 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물을, 본 발명의 광학 기록 재료에 포함되는 고형분 기준으로 50∼100중량% 함유하는 것이 바람직하다.
또한, 상기 광학 기록층은 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물 외에, 필요에 따라서, 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물 이외의 시아닌계 화합물, 아조(azo)계 화합물, 프탈로시아닌계 화합물, 포르핀계 화합물 등의 광학 기록층에 사용되는 화합물; 폴리에틸렌, 폴리에스테르, 폴리스티렌, 폴리카보네이트 등의 수지류; 계면활성제; 대전방지제; 활제(滑劑); 난연제(難燃劑); 힌더드 아민(hindered amines) 등의 라디칼 포 착제; 페로센 유도체 등의 피트(pit) 형성 촉진제; 분산제; 산화방지제; 가교제; 내광성 부여제 등을 함유해도 좋다. 또한, 상기 광학 기록층은 일중항산소(singlet oxygen) 등의 켄처로서 방향족 니트로소 화합물, 아미늄 화합물, 이미늄(iminium) 화합물, 비스이미늄(bisiminium) 화합물, 천이(遷移)금속 킬레이트 화합물 등을 함유해도 좋다. 이들 각종 화합물은 상기 광학 기록층에 있어서 바람직하게는 0∼50중량%의 범위가 되는 양으로 사용된다. 그를 위해서는, 본 발명의 광학 기록 재료에 있어서, 이들 각종 화합물의 함유량은 본 발명의 광학 기록 재료에 포함되는 고형분 기준으로 0∼50중량%로 하는 것이 바람직하다.
이러한 광학 기록층을 형성하는 상기 기체의 재질은 기입(기록)광 및 읽기(재생)광에 대하여 실질적으로 투명한 것이라면 특별히 제한은 없고, 예를 들면, 폴리메틸메타크릴레이트, 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트, 폴리카보네이트 등의 수지, 유리 등이 사용된다. 또한, 그 형상은 용도에 따라서, 테이프, 드럼, 벨트, 디스크 등의 임의의 형상의 것을 사용할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 광학 기록층상에, 금, 은, 알루미늄, 구리 등을 사용해서 증착법 또는 스퍼터링법에 의해 반사막을 형성할 수도 있고, 아크릴 수지, 자외선 경화성 수지 등에 의한 보호층을 형성할 수도 있다.
본 발명의 광학 기록 재료는, 기록, 재생에 반도체 레이저를 사용하는 광학기록 매체에 매우 적합하며, 특히 고속 기록 타입의 DVD-R 등의 광디스크에 매우 적합하다.
<실시예>
이하, 제조예, 평가예, 실시예 및 비교예를 가지고 본 발명을 더욱 상세하게 설명한다. 그러나, 본 발명은 이하의 실시예 등에 의해 조금도 제한을 받는 것은 아니다.
[제조예 1] 화합물 No.10의 헥사플루오로포스페이트(hexafluorophosphate)의 제조
(인돌 유도체의 합성)
반응 플라스크에 나프틸히드라진 158.2g, 1,1-디벤질아세톤 286.0g, 에탄올 542g을 넣고, 70℃ 1시간 교반하였다. 이것에 70℃에서 35중량% 염산수 125g을 적하(滴下)하고, 80℃ 1시간 반응시켰다. 실온까지 냉각한 후에 톨루엔 200g을 첨가하고, 이것을 물 300g으로 3회 세정하며, 무수황산나트륨으로 건조하였다. 이 용액을 탈용매(脫溶媒)하여 얻은 잔사를 실리카겔 크로마토그래피로 정제하여, 다색(茶色) 액체인 벤질기를 갖는 인돌 유도체를 40.0g(수율 11.1%)으로 얻었다.
(중간체의 합성)
반응 플라스크에 상기에서 얻은 인돌 유도체 18.7g, 1-요오드화프로판(propane iodide) 12.8g, 프로판올 39.9g을 넣고, 100℃ 12시간 반응시켰다. 이 후 탈용매하여 얻은 잔사를 5.4g의 에탄올에 가열 용해시키고, 이 용액에 부틸 아세테이트(butyl acetate)를 27g 첨가하여 정석(晶析)을 행하였다. 결정을 여과하고, 80℃ 2시간 진공 건조를 행하여 황색 결정인 중간체를 4.9g(수율 18.4%)으로 얻었다.
(시아닌 화합물의 합성)
반응 플라스크에 상기에서 얻은 중간체 2.71g, 하기식으로 표현되는 중간체 A 2.47g, 아세트산 무수물(acetic anhydride) 1.56g, 피리딘 8.05g을 넣고, 65℃ 4시간 반응시켰다. 이것에 클로로포름 30g을 첨가하고, 물 30g으로 세정한 후, 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트(potassium hexafluorophosphate) 4.2g을 물 20g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하고, 실온에서 30분 교반하며, 수상(水相; aqueous phase)을 제거하였다. 이것에 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 2.8g을 물 15g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하고, 실온에서 30분 교반하며, 수상을 제거하고, 또한 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 1.4g을 물 15g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하며, 실온에서 30분 교반하고, 수상을 제거하였다. 얻어진 유기상(有機相; organic phase)에 대하여 물 15g으로 3회 세정한 후, 무수황산나트륨으로 건조를 행하고, 탈용매를 하여 유상물(油狀物)을 얻었다. 이것을 가열하고, 메탄올 40g을 환류시키면서 적하하였다. 계(系)의 온도를 25℃로 낮추고, 석출한 결정을 여과하며, 메탄올로 세정하고 나서, 120℃ 2시간 진공 건조를 행하여, 목적물인 자색(紫色) 결정 2.5g(수율 64.6%)을 얻었다. 얻어진 결정에 대하여 분석을 행한 결과, 이 결정은 목적물인 화합물 No.10의 헥사플루오로포스페이트로 동정(同定)되었다. 분석 결과를 이하에 나타낸다.

[제조예 2] 화합물 No.12의 헥사플루오로포스페이트의 제조
(중간체의 합성)
오토클레이브에 상기 제조예 1에서 얻은 인돌 유도체 18.7g, 요오드화메틸(methyl iodide) 10.7g, 메탄올 38g을 넣고, 100℃ 12시간 반응시켰다. 이 후 탈용매하여 얻은 잔사를 5.0g의 에탄올에 가열 용해시키고, 이 용액에 부틸 아세테이트(butyl acetate)를 50g 첨가해서 정석을 행하였다. 결정을 여과하고, 80℃ 2시간 진공 건조를 행하여 황색 결정인 중간체를 5.5g(수율 21.9%)으로 얻었다.
(시아닌 화합물의 합성)
반응 플라스크에 상기에서 얻은 중간체 2.52g, 하기식으로 표현되는 중간체 B 2.49g, 아세트산 무수물 1.53g, 피리딘 7.91g을 넣고, 50℃ 4시간 반응시켰다. 이것에 클로로포름 16g, 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 1.65g을 물 20g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하고, 실온에서 30분 교반하며, 수상을 제거하였다. 이것에 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 0.7g을 물 15g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하고, 실온에서 30분 교반하며, 수상을 제거하고, 또한 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 0.7g을 물 15g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하며, 실온에서 30분 교반하고, 수상을 제거하였다. 얻어진 유기상에 대하여 물 15g으로 3회 세정한 후, 무수황산나트륨으로 건조를 행하고, 탈용매를 하여 유상물을 얻었다. 이것을 가열하고, 메탄올 15g을 환류시키면서 적하하였다. 계의 온도를 25℃로 낮추고, 석출한 결정을 여과하며, 메탄올로 세정하고 나서, 120℃ 2시간 진공 건조를 행하여, 목적물인 자색 결정 1.2g(수율 31.8%)을 얻었다. 얻어진 결정에 대하여 분석을 행한 결과, 이 결정은 목적물인 화합물 No.12의 헥사플루오로포스페이트로 동정되었다. 분석 결과를 이하에 나타낸다.

[제조예 3] 화합물 No.19의 헥사플루오로포스페이트의 제조
(중간체의 합성)
반응 플라스크에 N-메틸-N-(4-클로로페닐)히드라진과 4-페닐부탄-2-온을 축합시켜서 얻은 하기식의 출발 물질 16.2g, 벤질브로마이드 13.4g, 에탄올 26.5g을 넣고, 75℃ 14시간 반응시켰다. 이것에 에틸 아세테이트 60g을 첨가하고, 30분 환류하였다. 석출한 결정을 여과하고, 에틸 아세테이트로 세정 후, 80℃ 2시간 진공 건조를 행하여, 백색 결정의 중간체를 19.0g(수율 71.8%)으로 얻었다.
(시아닌 화합물의 합성)
반응 플라스크에 상기에서 얻은 중간체 6.92g, N,N'-디페닐아미딘 1.54g, 아세트산 무수물 2.40g, 피리딘 12.42g을 넣고, 78℃ 4시간 반응시켰다. 이것에 클로로포름 25g과 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 4.33g을 물 50g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하고, 실온에서 30분 교반하며, 수상을 제거하였다. 이것에 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 2.10g을 물 25g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하고, 실온에서 30분 교반하며, 수상을 제거하고, 또한 포타슘헥사플루오로포스페이트 1.1g을 물 25g에 녹인 용액을 첨가하며, 실온에서 30분 교반하고, 수상을 제거하였다. 얻어진 유기상에 대하여 물 30g으로 3회 세정한 후, 무수황산나트륨으로 건조를 행하고, 탈용매를 하여 유상물을 얻었다. 이것을 가열하고, 메탄올 14g을 환류시키면서 적하하였다. 계의 온도를 25℃로 낮추고 결정을 여과하였다. 얻어진 결정을 메탄올로 세정하고 나서, 120℃ 2시간 진공 건조를 행하여, 목적물인 녹색 결정 2.2g(수율 32.1%)을 얻었다. 얻어진 결정에 대하여 분석을 행한 결과, 이 결정은 목적물인 화합물 No.19의 헥사플루오로포스페이트로 동정되었다. 분석 결과를 이하에 나타낸다.

[평가예]
상기 제조예 1∼3 각각에서 얻어진 시아닌 화합물 및 이하에 나타내는 비교화합물 1∼3에 대해서, 질소 기류 중의 시차열분석을 행하여 열분해 온도를 평가하였다. 열분해 온도는 질소 중 10℃/분 승온 조건에 의한 DTA의 발열의 피크톱 온도로 평가하였다. 결과를 표 1에 나타낸다.

상기 표 1의 결과로부터, 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물은 열분해 온도가 낮은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이것은 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물은 광학 기록 재료로서 고속 기록에 적합하다는 것을 나타내는 것이다.
[실시예 1∼3] 광학 기록 매체의 제조 및 평가
티탄킬레이트(titanium chelate) 화합물(T-50: 닛뽄소다 가부시키가이샤제)을 도포, 가수분해하여 하지층(下地層)(0.01μ)을 형성한 직경 12cm의 폴리카보네이트 디스크 기판상에, 상기 제조예 1∼3에서 얻어진 시아닌 화합물 각각을, 2,2,3,3-테트라플루오로프로판올 용액(농도 2중량%)에 의한 스핀코팅법으로 도포하고, 두께 100nm의 광학 기록층을 형성하여 광학 기록 매체를 얻었다. 이들 광학 기록 매체에 대하여, 투과광 UV 스펙트럼과 입사각 5°의 반사광 UV 스펙트럼의 측정을 행하였다. 결과를 표 2에 기록한다.
투과광 스펙트럼은 광학 기록 매체의 기록 특성과 관련이 있다. 각 광학 기록 매체의 λmax의 강도를 1로 하고, 이것에 대한 상대 강도의 값이 0.15보다 작으면 기록 특성이 악화되고, 0.50을 넘으면 기록층의 내광성(耐光性)이 나빠지며, 기록의 보존 안정성이 나빠진다. 따라서, 기록광의 파장에 대하여, 상대 강도가 0.15∼0.50을 나타내는 것이 적정하다. 또한, 반사광 스펙트럼은 광학 기록 매체의 재생 특성과 관련이 있다. 재생 모드에서는 레이저광을 광학 기록 매체에 반사시킨 반사광에 대해서, 레이저 파장의 광량(光量)의 차이로 기록의 유무를 검출하므로, 반사광의 흡수 스펙트럼의 극대가 사용되는 재생광의 파장에 가까운 것일수록 바람직하다.

상기 표 2로부터, 본 발명의 시아닌 화합물을 사용해서 기판상에 광학 기록층이 형성된 광학 기록 매체는 DVD-R의 규격인 620nm, 635nm, 650nm, 660nm의 레이저광에 대하여 매우 적합한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
본 발명에 따르면, 광학 기록 용도에 적합한 신규의 시아닌 화합물, 이것을 함유하는 광학 기록 재료 및 광학 기록 매체를 제공할 수 있다.
Claims (5)
- 하기 화학식 1로 표현되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시아닌 화합물.[화학식 1](식 중, 고리 A 및 고리 B는 치환기를 가져도 좋은 벤젠 고리 또는 나프탈렌 고리이고, R1∼R4는 인접하는 2개의 기(基)(R1과 R2 또는 R3과 R4) 혹은 모두가 벤질기이며, 나머지 기가 탄소수 1∼4의 알킬기 또는 연결해서 3∼6원환(員環; membered ring)을 형성하는 기이고, Y1 및 Y2는 각각 독립적으로 탄소수 1∼30의 유기기이며, Anm -는 m가의 음이온을 나타내고, m은 1 또는 2의 정수이며, p는 전하를 중성으로 유지하는 계수이다.)
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화학식 1의 R1∼R4 모두가 벤질기인 것을 특징으로 하는 시아닌 화합물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화학식 1의 고리 A 및 고리 B에 있어서, 인접하는 2개의 벤질기가 결합한 복소환(複素環)을 구성하는 고리 A 및/또는 고리 B가 나프탈렌 고리인 것을 특징으로 하는 시아닌 화합물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 기체(基體)상에 광학 기록층이 형성된 광학 기록 매체의 광학 기록층에 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시아닌 화합물을 함유해서 이루어지는 광학 기록 재료.
- 기체상에, 광학 기록층으로서 제1항에 기재된 광학 기록 재료로 이루어지는 박막을 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 기록 매체.
