Description
しかしながら、高速記録時の記録再生特性については十分検討されているとはいえない。
0<W2/(W1+W2)≦0.7
として構成する。
0.28μm≦Wg≦0.40μm
として、かつこのグルーブの深さDを
100nm≦D≦200nm
として構成する。
0<W2/(W1+W2)≦0.7
として構成する。
この例においては、有機色素ディスクに適用した例であり、特にDVD−R、DVD+Rディスクに適用することにより高速記録特性を良好にした光記録媒体を構成する場合二ついて説明する。
記録層2の色素材料としては、上記化1及び化2に示す一般式の色素材料を含む構成とする。
また、上記化2に示す一般式のうち、例えば下記の化5に示す構造式の色素材料を添加して光記録媒体を構成することができる。
OD=−log(T)
と定義して、OD=0.65となる膜厚とした。
従って本発明によれば、低速記録から高速記録にわたって、安定して良好な記録再生特性が得られることがわかる。
100nm≦D≦200nm
の範囲が適していることがわかる。
0≦W3/(W1+W2+W3)≦0.35
の範囲で添加し、記録層の耐光性の変化について検討した。その他の構成、すなわち記録層の厚さ、グルーブ溝深さ及び幅を上述の図3において説明した例と同様に選定して光記録媒体を構成し、記録層の耐光性の変化について検討した。
0.1≦W3/(W1+W2+W3)≦0.3
が好適であると言える。
例えば、上記化4及び上記化2に示す色素材料を記録層に用いて、その他の条件すなわち記録層の厚さ、グルーブ幅及び深さなどの条件を上述の図3において説明した例と同様に選定して光記録媒体を形成し、その1倍速、2.4倍速、4倍速及び8倍速記録を上述の例と同様の方法をもって記録し、再生ジッターを測定したところ、上記化4に示す材料を用いる場合においても、同様に1倍速から8倍速までの低速から高速記録時におけるジッターを確実に良好に抑制し、かつ記録パワーP0を適切な範囲内に調整することができた。
0.28μm≦Wg≦0.40μm
100nm≦D≦200nm
に選定することにより、上記化3に示す材料を用いる場合と同様に、ジッター9%未満、また反射率45%以上を達成することができた。
特に前述の化1に示される一般式に含まれる材料のうち、上記化3及び化4に示す材料を用いて記録層を構成することにより、1倍速〜8倍速の各記録速度による記録情報を、ジッター9%未満をもって再生することができ、また反射率45%以上とすることができた。
また上述の各例においては、記録層の厚さとしては上記OD=0.65となる厚さとして測定を行ったが、記録再生特性に影響を及ぼさない範囲で例えば上記ODが0.5以上0.8以下程度の範囲で厚さを選定することも可能である。

Claims (6)
- 光透過性の基板上に、
少なくとも下記化1に示す一般式で表される色素材料(式中、R1は炭素数1〜4のアルキル基を表し、R2、R3はそれぞれ炭素数1〜4のアルキル基、ベンジル基又は連結して3〜6員環を形成する基を表し、Y1及びY2は各々独立に有機基を表し、XはClO4、BF4、PF6、SbF6を表す)と、
下記化2で示す一般式で表される色素材料(式中、R1及びR2はそれぞれ炭素数1〜4のアルキル基、ベンジル基又は連結して3〜6員環を形成する基を表し、Y1、Y2は各々独立に有機基を表し、XはClO4、BF4、PF6、SbF6を表す)とを含む記録層を有し、
下記化1記載の色素材料の重量をW1、下記化2記載の色素材料の重量をW2とすると、上記記録層中に含まれる上記各色素材料の重量比が、
0<W2/(W1+W2)≦0.7
とされる
光記録媒体。
- 上記記録層に、失活剤が含まれて成る請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の光記録媒体。
- 光透過性の基板上に、少なくとも上記化1に示す一般式で表される色素材料(式中、R1は炭素数1〜4のアルキル基を表し、R2、R3はそれぞれ炭素数1〜4のアルキル基、ベンジル基又は連結して3〜6員環を形成する基を表し、Y1及びY2は各々独立に有機基を表し、XはClO 4 、BF 4 、PF 6 、SbF 6 を表す)と、上記化2で示す一般式で表される色素材料(式中、R1及びR2はそれぞれ炭素数1〜4のアルキル基、ベンジル基又は連結して3〜6員環を形成する基を表し、Y1、Y2は各々独立に有機基を表し、XはClO 4 、BF 4 、PF 6 、SbF 6 を表す)とを含む記録層を有し、上記化1記載の色素材料の重量をW1、上記化2記載の色素材料の重量をW2とすると、上記記録層中に含まれる上記各色素材料の重量比が、
0<W2/(W1+W2)≦0.7
とされる光記録媒体に対し、
波長λが650nm+10nm/−5nm若しくは655nm+10nm/−5nmの光と、
開口数NAが0.65±0.01とされて成る集光レンズを用いて、
記録トラックのトラックピッチTpを0.74μm±0.03として、最短マーク長が0.40μmの情報を記録又は再生する
光記録再生方法。
