Claims (16)
- 영상신호로서 입력된 n비트(n은 자연수) 디지털신호에 γ보정을 행하여, m비트(m>n: m은 자연수) 디지털신호로 변환하는 제1 신호처리회로; 및상기 제1 신호처리회로로부터 m비트 디지털신호에 노이즈신호를 가산한 뒤, 하위 (m-Q)비트(Q≤n: Q는 자연수)를 절사하여 얻어지는 Q비트의 디지털신호를 출력하는 제2 신호처리회로를 포함하는, 화상처리장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 입력된 n비트 디지털신호를, 미리 설정된 값에 따라서 m비트 디지털신호로 변환하는 비트변환수단을 더 포함하는 화상처리장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 비트변환수단은, 입력된 신호에 대응하는 미리 설정된 출력치로 치환하는 룩업테이블로 구성되는 화상처리장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 비트변환수단은, 수치계산에 의해 n비트 디지털신호를 m(m>n)비트 디지털신호로 변환하는 연산소자로 이루어지는 화상처리장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1 신호처리회로 및 제2 신호처리회로는, RGB 색마다 제공되는 화상처리장치.
- 제1항 내지 5항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 노이즈신호의 신호레벨의 평균치는 제로로 되도록 설정되는 화상처리장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 노이즈신호는, 진폭의 주기에 규칙성이 없는 무작위성의 노이즈신호인 화상처리장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 노이즈신호는, 임의의 노이즈패턴 테이블을 사용하고, 상기 노이즈패턴 테이블의 개시점을, 필드마다 또는 노이즈패턴 테이블마다 바꾸는 것에 의해 얻어지는 노이즈신호인 화상처리장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 노이즈신호의 진폭 도수분포는, 상기 노이즈신호의 진폭 제로를 중심으로 한 가우스분포인 화상처리장치.
- 입력된 m비트(m은 자연수) 디지털신호에 노이즈신호를 가산한 뒤, 하위 (m-Q)비트(Q<m: Q는 자연수)를 절사하여 얻어지는 Q비트의 디지털신호를 출력하는 신호처리회로를 포함하는 화상처리장치.
- 화상을 표시하는 표시수단과, 상기 표시수단을 구동하는 구동수단을 포함하는 화상표시장치로서,영상신호로서 입력된 n비트(n은 자연수) 디지털신호에 대하여 γ보정을 행하여, m비트(m>n: m은 자연수) 디지털신호로 변환하는 제1 신호처리회로와,상기 제1 신호처리회로에서의 m비트 디지털신호에 노이즈신호를 가산한 뒤, 하위 (m-Q)비트(Q≤n: Q는 자연수)를 절사하여 얻어지는 Q비트 디지털신호를 출력하는 제2 신호처리회로를 갖는 화상처리장치를 더 포함하는, 화상표시장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 제1 신호처리회로는, 입력된 n비트 디지털신호를, 미리 설정된 값에 따라 m비트 디지털신호로 변환하는 비트변환수단을 포함하는 화상표시장치.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 비트변환수단에 설정된 값은, 상기 구동수단의 성능의 불균형을 흡수하도록 재기입되는 화상표시장치.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 비트변환수단에 설정된 값은, 상기 화상표시장치 주위의 밝기에 따라 재기입되는 화상표시장치.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 비트변환수단에 설정된 값은, 상기 표시장치의 표시화상전체의 밝기에 따라 재기입되는 화상표시장치.
- 입력된 m비트(m은 자연수) 디지털신호에 노이즈신호를 가산한 뒤, 하위 (m-Q)비트(Q<m: Q는 자연수)를 절사하여 얻어진 Q비트 디지털신호를 출력하는 신호처리회로를 포함하는 화상처리장치를 구비하는 화상표시장치.
