Claims (32)
- 캐리어, 및 내부에 분산된 마이크로캡슐(dispersion of microcapsule)을 포함하는 전기 이동(electrophoretic) 또는 유전체 이동 재료(dielectrophoretic material)에 있어서,상기 각각의 마이크로캡슐은,a. 복수의 내부 페이즈 성분(internal-phase constituent) -상기 성분들 중 적어도 일부는 시각적으로 대비되며, 전기장에 대해 차별적으로 응답함- ; 및b. 상기 성분들 중 적어도 하나의 반사율을 강화하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 반사율을 강화하기 위한 수단은, 반사성 재료가 연관되어 있는 입자들을 포함하며,상기 입자들은 내부 페이즈 성분이 되는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 반사성 재료는 상기 입자들에 코팅되는 금속 쉘(metal shell)인 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 반사성 코팅재는 금속 쉘인 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 금속은 알루미늄, 은 및 금으로 구성되는 그룹으로부터 선택되는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 반사성 재료는 상기 입자들 내에 매립된 금속 조각인 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 반사성 재료는 상기 입자들 내에 매립된 다량의 유리 역반사체 스피어(glass retroreflector spheres)인 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 반사성 재료는 상기 각각의 입자를 둘러싸고 있는 외부 투명 캡슐인 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 적어도 하나의 액상 페이즈(liquid phase)를 포함하고,상기 반사율을 강화하기 위한 수단은 상기 액상 페이즈 내에 분산된 반사성 재료를 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 반사성 재료는 투명 입자를 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 액상 페이즈 및 상기 투명 입자는 굴절율을 가지며,상기 입자의 굴절율은 상기 액상 페이즈의 굴절율을 초과하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 제1 색상을 가지는 액체를 포함하며,상기 입자들은 대비되는 제2 색상을 가지는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 실질적으로 투명한 캐리어 액체를 포함하며,다량의 제1 미립자는 제1 색상 및 제1 전하를 가지고,다량의 제2 미립자는 제2 색상, 및 상기 제1 전하와 부호가 상반되거나 크기가 다른 제2 전하를 가지며,상기 제1 및 제2 색상은 시각적으로 대비되는 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 캐리어, 및 내부에 분산된 마이크로캡슐을 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료에 있어서,상기 각각의 마이크로캡슐은,a. 복수의 내부 페이즈 성분 -상기 성분들 중 적어도 일부는 시각적으로 대비되고 전기장에 대해 차별적으로 응답하여, 전기장의 방향에 의존하여, 상기 내부 페이즈 성분들이 쌍안정성 특성 및 임계 특성에 따라 시각적으로 서로 다른 제1 또는 제2 외관(visually dufferentiable appearance)을 갖게 함-; 및b. 상기 특성들 중 적어도 하나를 강화하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 강화 수단은 상기 마이크로캡슐 내에 함유된 액정 재료를 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제14항에 있어서,a. 상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 캐리어 액체, 및 내부에 분산된 다량의 입자를 포함하고,b. 상기 입자들 각각은 영구 전하(permanent charge)를 가지며,c. 상기 마이크로캡슐은 내부 표면을 포함하고,d. 상기 강화 수단은 상기 마이크로캡슐의 상기 내부 표면과 연관된 속박 전하(bound charge) -상기 속박 전하는 상기 입자의 전하와 상반되는 부호를 가짐- 를 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 속박 전하는 상기 내부 표면과 연관된 적어도 하나의 전하 제어 첨가제를 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 제1 색상을 가지는 다량의 제1 입자 및 대비되는 제2 색상을 가지는 다량의 제2 입자를 포함하며,상기 다량의 제1 및 제2 입자는 상이한 마찰 전기 특성을 나타내는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 다량의 입자를 포함하며,상기 마이크로캡슐은 내부 표면을 가지고,상기 입자와 상기 내부 표면은 상이한 마찰 전기 특성을 나타내는 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 입자는 (a) 흡착된 대전제(charging agent), (b) 코폴리머화되는 대전제, 및 (c) 매립되는 대전제로 구성되는 그룹으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나의 대전제를 포함하는 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제20항에 있어서, 상기 대전제는 이미터(emitter)인 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 반도체 또는 배리스터 재료의 입자를 포함하는 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 내부 페이즈 성분은 전하 제어제가 용해되어 있는 액체를 포함하는 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 캐리어, 및 내부에 분산된 마이크로캡슐을 포함하는 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료에 있어서,상기 각각의 마이크로캡슐은,a. 복수의 내부 페이즈 성분 -상기 성분들 중 적어도 일부는 시각적으로 대비되고 전기장에 대해 차별적으로 응답함-; 및b. 가시 광선을 방출하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제24항에 있어서,상기 가시 광선 방출 수단은 형광 재료를 포함하며,상기 형광 재료는 내부 페이즈 성분인 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제24항에 있어서,상기 가시 광선 방출 수단은 인광 재료를 포함하며,상기 인광 재료는 내부 페이즈 성분인 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 제24항에 있어서,상기 가시 광선 방출 수단은 전계 발광 재료(electroluminescent material)를 포함하며,상기 전계 발광 재료는 내부 페이즈 성분인 전기 이동 및 유전체 이동 재료.
- 연장형 전기 이동 디바이스(elongated electrophoretic device)에 있어서,a. 하우징 전극을 형성하는 도전성 재료를 포함하는 실질적으로 투명한 튜브형 하우징;b. 상기 하우징 내에 배치된 와이어 전극; 및c. 상기 하우징을 실질적으로 채우는 다량의 마이크로캡슐 -상기 각각의 마이크로캡슐은 복수의 페이즈를 포함하며, 상기 페이즈들 중 적어도 일부는 시각적으로 대비되고 전기장에 대해 차별적으로 응답하여, 상기 하우징과 와이어 전극 양단의 전위가 상기 전기 이동 디바이스의 시각적 외관을 결정하게 하는 전기 이동 디바이스.
- 연장형 전기 이동 디바이스에 있어서,a. 하우징 전극을 형성하는 도전성 재료를 포함하는 실질적으로 투명한 튜브형 하우징;b. 상기 하우징 내에 배치된 와이어 전극; 및c. 상기 하우징을 통과하는 다량의 셀 -상기 각각의 셀은 복수의 페이즈를 포함하며, 상기 페이즈들 중 적어도 일부는 시각적으로 대비되고 전기장에 대해 차별적으로 응답하여, 상기 하우징과 와이어 전극 양단의 전위가 상기 전기 이동 디바이스의 시각적 외관을 결정하게 하는 전기 이동 디바이스.
- 제1항에 따른 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료를 포함하는 프린트형 전자 디스플레이(printed electronic display).
- 제14항에 따른 전기 이동 또는 유전체 이동 재료를 포함하는 프린트형 전자 디스플레이.
- 제28항에 따른 재료를 포함하는 프린트형 전자 디스플레이.
