시스템 개요

주 해상도에 대한 해상도들의 선택

주 해상도들의 조합에 대한 해상도들의 선택

Claims (28)

  1. 콘텐트 분배 시스템에 있어서,
    하나 이상의 인코딩 서버들의 세트를 포함하고, 상기 인코딩 서버들 각각은,
    인코더 애플리케이션을 포함하는 비휘발성 저장매체; 및
    적어도 하나의 프로세서를 포함하고,
    상기 인코더 애플리케이션들은 상기 인코딩 서버들이,
    주 해상도, 주 샘플 화면 비, 및 주 화면 비를 갖는 주 비디오 스트림을 수신하는 단계와;
    상기 주 비디오 스트림으로부터 대안적인 비디오 스트림들의 세트를 인코딩하는 단계로서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 각각은 정수의 열 및 행의 화소들을 갖도록 상이한 비트레이트들과 상기 주 화면 비로 인코딩되고;
    복수의 대안적인 비디오 스트림들은 상기 주 해상도보다 낮은 해상도들로 인코딩되고;
    상기 복수의 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 중 적어도 하나는 상기 주 샘플 화면 비와 상이한 샘플 화면 비를 갖도록 인코딩되는, 상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들의 세트를 인코딩하는 단계와;
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들의 세트를 상기 콘텐트 분배 시스템의 일부를 형성하는 서버들의 세트에 저장하는 단계를 수행하여,
    소스 콘텐트를 각각 상이한 비트레이트를 갖는 복수의 대안적인 스트림들로 인코딩하도록 하는, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서
    상기 콘텐트 분배 시스템의 일부를 형성하는 서버들의 세트는,
    최상위 인덱스 및 컨테이너 인덱스를 생성하고, 상기 최상위 인덱스 및 컨테이너 인덱스는 적어도 하나의 암호화된 인코딩의 부분에 대한 바이트 영역들을 제공하고;
    상기 최상위 인덱스 및 컨테이너 인덱스를 재생 디바이스에 제공하고;
    상기 재생 디바이스에서 상기 복수의 대안적인 스트림들 중 하나로부터 콘텐트에 대한 요청을 수신하고;
    요청된 콘텐트를 상기 재생 디바이스에 제공하는, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 주 화면 비는 16:9인, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들의 세트 중 적어도 2개는 1920×1080 및 1280×720의 해상도로 인코딩되는, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  5. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 중 적어도 하나는 다른 대안적인 비디오 스트림과 상이한 기간의 인코딩된 비디오 시퀀스를 갖는, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 중 적어도 하나는 관련 샘플 화면 비를 나타내는 헤더를 갖는, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 각각의 해상도의 높이 및 폭은 상기 주 해상도의 높이 및 폭의 상분수로 나타내어지고, 분모는 미리결정된 수보다 작은, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  8. 제 7 항에 있어서,
    상기 미리결정된 수는 100인, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  9. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 각각의 해상도의 높이 및 폭은 8화소들의 배수인, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  10. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 중 적어도 하나는 정사각형 샘플 화면 비를 갖도록 인코딩되는, 콘텐트 분배 시스템.
  11. 비디오 콘텐트를 복수의 대안적인 스트림들로 인코딩하는 방법에 있어서,
    주 해상도, 주 샘플 화면 비, 및 주 화면 비를 갖는 주 비디오 스트림을 수신하는 단계와;
    상기 주 비디오 스트림으로부터 대안적인 비디오 스트림들의 세트를 인코딩하는 단계로서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 각각은 정수의 열 및 행의 화소들을 갖도록 상이한 비트레이트들과 상기 주 화면 비로 인코딩되고;
    복수의 대안적인 비디오 스트림들은 상기 주 해상도보다 낮은 해상도들로 인코딩되고;
    상기 복수의 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 중 적어도 하나는 상기 주 샘플 화면 비와 상이한 샘플 화면 비를 갖도록 인코딩되는, 상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들의 세트를 인코딩하는 단계를 포함하는, 비디오 콘텐트를 복수의 대안적인 스트림들로 인코딩하는 방법.
  12. 제 11 항에 있어서
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들에 대한 인덱스를 포함하는 최상위 인덱스 파일을 생성하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 비디오 콘텐트를 복수의 대안적인 스트림들로 인코딩하는 방법.
  13. 제 11 항에 있어서,
    상기 주 화면 비는 16:9인, 비디오 콘텐트를 복수의 대안적인 스트림들로 인코딩하는 방법.
  14. 제 11 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들의 세트 중 적어도 2개는 1920×1080 및 1280×720의 해상도로 인코딩되는, 비디오 콘텐트를 복수의 대안적인 스트림들로 인코딩하는 방법.
  15. 제 11 항에 있어서,
    상기 대안적인 비디오 스트림들 중 적어도 하나는 다른 대안적인 비디오 스트림과 상이한 기간의 인코딩된 비디오 시퀀스를 갖는, 비디오 콘텐트를 복수의 대안적인 스트림들로 인코딩하는 방법.
