Claims (20)
- 일체물의 광 변환 부재로서, 이 광 변환 부재는 금속 산화물과 2종 이상의 금속의 산화물로부터 생성되는 복합 산화물로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 2종 이상의 산화물을 각각 성분으로 하는 2종 이상의 메트릭스상으로 형성되어 있는 응고체이며, 그 메트릭스상 중 적어도 하나가 활성화된 산화물로 이루어진 형광체상인 세라릭 복합 재료로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 변환 부재.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 세라믹 복합 재료가 가시광선에 의해 여기되어 여기 파장보다 긴 파장의 가시광 형광을 방출하는 매트릭스상을 함유하는 것인 광 변환 부재.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 세라믹 복합 재료가 청색광을 백색광으로 바꾸는 것인 광 변환 부재.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 응고체가 일방향 응고법에 의해 얻어진 것을 특징으로 하는 광 변환 부재.
- 제4항에 있어서, 각 매스릭스상이 연속적으로 또한 3차원적으로 배열되어 서로 얽혀 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 변환 부재.

- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 2종 이상의 금속 산화물의 조합으로 생성되는 복합 산화물이 3Al2O3·2SiO2(멀라이트), MgO·Al2O3, Al2O3·TiO2, BaO·6Al2O3, BaO·Al2O3, BeO·3Al2O3, BeO·Al2O3, 3BeO·Al2O3, CaO·TiO2, CaO·Nb2O3, CaO·ZrO2, 2CoO·TiO2, FeAl2O4, MnAl2O4, 3MgO·Y2O3, 2MgO·SiO2, MgCr2O4, MgO·TiO2, MgO·Ta2O5, MnO·TiO2, 2MnO·TiO2, 3SrO·Al2O3, SrO·Al2O3, SrO·2Al2O3SrO·6Al2O3, SrO·TiO3, TiO2·3Nb205, TiO2·Nb2O5, 3Y2O3·5Al2O3, 2Y2O3·Al2O3, 2MgO·2Al2O3·5SiO2, LaAlO3, CeAlO3, PrAlO3, NdAlO3, SmAlO3, EuAlO3, GdAlO3, DyAlO3, Yb4Al2O9, Er3Al5O12, 11Al2O3·La2O3, 11Al2O3·Nd2O3, 11Al2O3·Pr2O3, EuAl11O18, 2Gd2O3·Al2O3, 11Al2O3·Sm2O3, Yb3Al5O12, CeAl11O18 및 Er4Al2O9로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 것인 광 변환 부재.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 매트릭스를 구성하는 상이 α-Al2O3상 및 Y3Al5O12(YAG)상의 2상인 것을 특징으로 하는 광 변환 부재.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광 변환 부재가 판상인 것인 광 변환 부재.
- 발광 다이오드 칩, 발광 다이오드 칩에 전류를 공급하는 전극 및 발광 다이오드의 광 방출측에 배치되어 발광 다이오드 칩으로부터 발광된 광의 색을 다른 색으로 바꾸는 광 변환 부재를 구비하는 발광 다이오드로서, 상기 광 변환 부재는 금속 산화물과 2종 이상의 금속의 산화물로부터 생성되는 복합 산화물로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 2종 이상의 산화물을 각각 성분으로 하는 2종 이상의 메트릭스상으로 형성되어 있는 응고체이며, 그 메트릭스상 중 적어도 하나가 활성화된 산화물로 이루어진 형광체상인 광 변환용 세라릭 복합 재료의 본체(body)로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 다이오드.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 광 변환용 세라믹 복합 재료가 발광 다이오드 칩으로부터 방출된 가시광선에 의해 여기되어 여기 파장보다 긴 파장의 가시광 형광을 방출하는 매트릭스상을 함유하는 것인 발광 다이오드.
- 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 상기 광 변환용 세라믹 복합 재료가 발광 다이오드 칩으로부터 방출된 청색광을 백색광으로 바꾸는 것인 광 변환 부재.
- 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 응고체가 일방향 응고법에 의해 얻어진 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 다이오드.
- 제13항에 있어서, 각 매스릭스상이 연속적으로 또한 3차원적으로 배열되어 서로 얽혀 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 발광 다이오드.
- 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 금속 산화물은 Al2O3, MgO, SiO2, TiO2, ZrO2, CaO, Y2O3, BaO, BeO, FeO, Fe2O3, MnO, CoO, Nb2O5, Ta2O5, Cr2O3, SrO, ZnO, NiO, Li2O, Ga2O3, HfO2, ThO2, UO2, SnO2 및 희토류 원소 산화물(La2O3, Y2O3, CeO2, Pr6O11, Nd2O3, Sm2O3, Gd2O3, Eu2O3, Tb4O7, Dy2O3, Ho2O3, Er2O3, Tm2O3, Yb2O3, Lu2O3)로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 것인 발광 다이오드.

- 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 상기 광 변환 부재가 판상인 것인 발광 다이오드.
- 제10항 또는 제11항에 기재한 발광 다이오드를 사용하여 발광 다이오드 칩으로부터 발광된 광의 색을 다른 색으로 바꾸는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 변환 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 매트릭스를 구성하는 상이 α-Al2O3상 및 YAG상이며, YAG상이 세륨으로 활성화된 형광체인 광 변환용 세라믹 복합 재료를 사용하여 청색광을 백색광으로 바꾸는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 변환 방법.
