を満足させるように境界軌道を制限するが、ここでtan(θ)は広がり角度θの接線、yは所定のx座標に対応する右側の境界軌道上の対向点の現在位置のy座標である。次に例えばTDDRの過程に沿った1/tan(θ)、(x/x1)を1から最大所望値を積分することにより微分方程式を解いて、分析的あるいは数値的のいずれかで右側の境界軌道の完全な座標セット{(x,y)}を得る。広がり角度はフィルムの中心線の進行方向と(x,y)における瞬間境界軌道との間にできる非負数の最小角度である。式2の対称的平面の場合には、中心線の進行はMDに沿っており、例えばほぼ従来のテンターの場合のように境界軌道がMDに平行な時には広がり角度はゼロである。
U=(1/MDDR−1)/(TDDR1/2−1)
状態U=1は一軸条件を満たす。ゼロと1との間のUの状態はあるレベルのMD張力が生じる中間状態を表している。1に近い状態はほぼあるいは実質的に一軸性である。1より大きいUの状態は様々な過剰緩和レベルを表している。これらの過剰緩和状態は境界端部からのMD圧縮を引き起こす。形状および材料剛性に対してMD圧縮レベルが十分である場合には、フィルムは曲がったりしわが寄ったりする。いくつかの実施例では、100%以下の過剰供給に対応して、積MDDR・(TDDR)1/2が伸張粗さに対して少なくとも0.5であることが好ましい。

Claims (3)
- フィルムの対向端部を保持しながら流れ方向に沿って伸張機内で前記フィルムを搬送するステップと、
末広がりの経路に沿って前記対向端部を移動させることにより前記伸張機の伸張領域内で前記フィルムを伸張して延伸フィルムを形成するステップと、
対向端部領域と、取り出し手段によって保持された対向取り出し領域との間で前記延伸フィルムを切断して、残りの前記延伸フィルムが前記流れ方向に搬送される間に前記末広がりの経路に沿って連続する耳を形成するステップと、
前記延伸フィルムの前記対向端部を解放するステップとを含むフィルムを処理する方法。 - 各前記対向端部内の対向取り出し領域において前記延伸フィルムを把持するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記伸張機の伸張領域内で前記フィルムを伸張するステップが、末広がりの放物線状の経路に沿って前記対向端部を移動させることにより前記伸張機の前記伸張領域内で前記フィルムを伸張して前記フィルムの前記伸張領域を形成するステップを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
