Description
焼結体表面から内部に向かって酸素量が増加する傾斜組成であって、表面から0.5mm未満の内部までの間に酸素を0.8〜1.5質量%、表面から0.5mm以上内部においては、酸素を1.1〜2.3質量%含み、その酸素量の差が0.1〜1.0質量%であることを特徴としている。
ここで、上述した窒化珪素焼結体(従ってインサート)を製造する場合には、Mg源としてMgCO3原料粉末を用いることが好適である。

a)まず、本実施形態のインサートの構成について説明する。
[実験例]
次に、各試料を用いて行った実験例について説明する。
SNGN120408の形状、チャンファー0.2mmのインサートを使用し、図6に示す様に、被削材として両端面に鋳砂の残ったFC200を選び、インサートを矢印A方向に移動させて切削加工を行った。
SNGN432の形状、チャンファー0.1mmのインサートを使用して、切削加工を行った。
Claims (7)
- β−Si3N4を主成分とし、Mgと希土類元素Re(Y、La、Ce、Er、Dy、Yb)を含有し、MgはMgO換算で1.0〜7.0mol%、Reは酸化物換算で0.4〜1.0mol%をそれぞれ含み、その合計が1.7〜7.5mol%未満である窒化珪素焼結体からなるインサートにおいて、
焼結体表面から内部に向かって酸素量が増加する傾斜組成であって、表面から0.5mm未満の内部までの間に酸素を0.8〜1.5質量%、表面から0.5mm以上内部においては、酸素を1.1〜2.3質量%含み、その酸素量の差が0.1〜1.0質量%であることを特徴とするインサート。 - 希土類元素ReがYbであり、MgはMgO換算で、1.0〜5.5mol%、YbはYb2O3換算で、0.4〜1.0mol%をそれぞれ含み、その合計が1.7〜6.0mol%未満である請求項1に記載のインサート。
- 室温における熱伝導率が、表面から1.0mmの深さより外側では、45W/m・K以上であり、表面から1.0mm以上内部では、40W/m・K以上であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のインサート。
- 室温における抗折強度(三点曲げ強度:JIS R1601)が900MPa以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のインサート。
- Yb元素、Mg元素、Si元素、O元素及びN元素から成る結晶を粒界相に含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のインサート。
- 前記窒化珪素焼結体のインサートのX線回析チャートにおいて、前記結晶におけるYbMgSi2O5Nに基づくピークのうち最大強度を示すピークの強度(IYb)が、窒化珪素に基づくピークのうち最大強度を示すピーク強度(Is)に対して、0%超10%以下であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のインサート。
- 前記請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のインサートをホルダに装着したことを特徴とする切削工具。
