Description
揃えかつ竿長の全長に亘る幅を有するプリプレグシート
を、巻回して形成した内層部と、強化繊維を前記一方向
とは異なる方向に引き揃えかつ竿長よりも短幅のプリプ
レグテープを、竿長一杯に巻回して形成した外層部とか
らなる竿材に関する。
揃えたプリプレグを3層分用意し、その3層分の繊維方
向を互いに直交する状態に定めて積層する構成をとる
が、竿径の細い穂先竿等では3層分巻くと剛性が高くな
り過ぎるところから、次のような構成を採っていた。つ
まり、竿の軸芯方向に強化繊維を引き揃え竿の全長に相
当するだけのプリプレグシートを一層だけ巻き、巻き付
ける際のスプリングバックを抑制するとともに、その外
層に強化繊維を周方向に引き揃えたプリプレグのテープ
を巻き、細い竿を形成していた。又、稀にはプリプレグ
シートの内面にクロス繊維を裏打ちしたものもある。
リプレグテープを外層部として巻回するものでは、その
巻き付けるピッチが課題となる。つまり、全長に亘って
密に巻き過ぎると、竿全体の剛性が高まり過ぎる為に、
魚の急な引き込みに柔軟に対応できない場合があり、だ
からといって、全長に亘って粗に巻くと、隣接するプリ
プレグテープの間隙部分(特に、先端細径部)が磯の岩
等と擦れ接触することによって傷つくことがあり、強度
の劣化を起こすこともあった。本発明の目的は、スプリ
ングバックを抑制して無理なくプリプレグの巻回を行う
という、良好な面を損なうことなく、適度な柔軟性と剛
性を維持しながら、強度劣化の少ない竿材及び竿の製造
方法を提供する点にある。
記プリプレグテープを巻回するに、竿先部分では、前記
プリプレグテープの幅方向一部分が互いに重なりあう状
態に、竿尻部分では、竿軸芯方向に間隔を開けた状態で
巻回してある点にあり、その作用、及び、効果は次の通
りである。
プ同志が重なり合う状態に巻回することによって内層部
が露出するテープ間の間隙を無くし、磯の岩等の他物と
の擦れ接触があっても、内層部が傷つくことを極力回避
できるようにするとともに、磯の岩等との多少の擦れ接
触があっても大径であるだけに強度劣化の少ない竿尻部
分では、テープ間の間隙をもって巻回することによっ
て、密に巻くことによる剛性の高まりを抑制し柔軟性を
損なうことのないものにできる。
能特性の違いに着目して、テープの巻き掛け形態に違い
を持たせることによって、全体として、磯等での使用に
おいても傷つきによる強度劣化のすくないものでありな
がら、魚の急な引き込みにも柔軟に対処でき得る竿を提
供できるに到った。

かつ竿長よりも短幅のプリプレグテープを、竿長一杯に
巻回し、その後焼成してある竿材の製造方法であって、
前記プリプレグテープを巻回するに、竿先部分では、前
記プリプレグテープの幅方向一部分が互いに重なりあう
状態に、竿尻部分では、竿軸芯方向に間隔を開けた状態
で巻回してある点にあり、その作用効果は次の通りであ
る。

ルに巻回する際のスプリングバックを抑制できる。

リプレグシート6を先端径が0.5ミリメートル程度の
マンドレル4に対して、1プライ乃至3プライ程度巻回
して内層部を形成する。竿1の周方向に炭素繊維2を引
き揃えたシート状のプリプレグを短冊状に裁断し、この
短冊状プリプレグを繋ぎ合わせて形成したテープ5を巻
回し外層部を形成する。
巻回するに、竿先部分では、前記プリプレグテープ5の
幅方向一部分が互いに重なりあう状態に、竿尻部分で
は、竿軸芯方向に間隔を開けた状態で巻回してある。こ
のようにして形成した竿材に対して熱収縮テープ(図示
せず)を巻回して焼成し竿1を形成する。この竿1は中
空状の穂先竿である。
炭素繊維方向は竿の軸芯方向でなくてもよく、竿の周方
向に引き揃えられたものでもよい。 プリプレグテー
プ5の巻き付け間隔は竿尻部分程徐々に大きくなるもの
であってもよい。
便利にするために符号を記すが、該記入により本発明は
添付図面の構成に限定されるものではない。

Claims (2)
- 【請求項1】 強化繊維(2)を一方向に引き揃えかつ
竿長の全長に亘る幅を有するプリプレグシート(6)
を、巻回して形成した内層部と、強化繊維(2)を前記
一方向とは異なる方向に引き揃えかつ竿長よりも短幅の
プリプレグテープ(5)を、竿長一杯に巻回して形成し
た外層部とからなる竿材であって、前記プリプレグテー
プ(5)を巻回するに、竿先部分では、前記プリプレグ
テープ(5)の幅方向一部分が互いに重なりあう状態
に、竿尻部分では、竿軸芯方向に間隔を開けた状態で巻
回してある竿材。 - 【請求項2】 強化繊維(2)を一方向に引き揃えかつ
竿長の全長に亘る幅を有するプリプレグシート(6)
を、マンドレル(4)に巻回するとともに、強化繊維
(2)を前記一方向とは異なる他方向に引き揃えかつ竿
長よりも短幅のプリプレグテープ(5)を、竿長一杯に
巻回し、その後焼成してある竿材の製造方法であって、
前記プリプレグテープ(5)を巻回するに、竿先部分で
は、前記プリプレグテープ(5)の幅方向一部分が互い
に重なりあう状態に、竿尻部分では、竿軸芯方向に間隔
を開けた状態で巻回してある竿材の製造方法。
