Claims (36)
- スプレーヘッドにおける液体溶液内に含有された構造的ユニットから材料構造を形成する方法であって、前記液体溶液が溶媒及び溶質を含み、前記溶質が複数の前記構造的ユニットを備え、前記構造的ユニットがモノマーユニット、オリゴマーユニット、又はそれらの組み合わせを含み、前記方法が、
前記構造的ユニットを含む前記液体溶液の液滴を形成し、前記液滴を基板上にスプレーし、これによって前記スプレーヘッドにおける前記液体溶液内の前記構造的ユニットに対して前記液滴内の前記構造的ユニットの反応性を実質的に増大させることを備え、
前記材料構造が前記液滴内の前記構造的ユニットから前記基板上に形成される、方法。 - 前記構造的ユニットの反応性を実質的に増大させることによって、前記構造的ユニットが、前記反応性の前記増大前よりも高率で相互に又は前記基板と共有結合することができる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記材料構造がコーティングであり、前記コーティングが前記基板の全体を覆うように形成されて前記基板を完全に取り囲む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記基板が、人が食べられるものであり、前記コーティングが食用コーティングである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングが、前記基板による水分喪失又は摂取、前記基板による揮発性喪失又は摂取、前記基板内に拡散し得る酸素ガスとの反応による酸化、又は表面摩耗を防止又は抑制するように構成されている、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記材料構造がコーティングであり、前記コーティングが前記基板の一部を覆うように形成される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記スプレーヘッドが、電圧供給源の第1の端子に電気的に接続された毛細管を含み、前記電圧供給源により与えられた電圧によって、前記毛細管に隣接した前記液体溶液の表面が正味の電荷を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記スプレーヘッドが環状電極を更に含み、前記電圧供給源の第2の端子が前記環状電極に電気的に接続されている、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記電圧供給源の第2の端子が電気接地に電気的に接続されている、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記液滴が前記毛細管に隣接した前記表面における液体溶液から形成され、前記液滴に正味の電荷を持たせる、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記液滴からの溶媒が少なくとも部分的に蒸発するのを可能とすることを更に備え、前記溶媒の前記少なくとも部分的な蒸発後、前記液滴の前記正味の電荷によって、前記液滴内に含有された前記液体溶液が、前記スプレーヘッド内に収容された前記液体溶液とは異なるイオン濃度を有する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記液滴内に含有された前記液体溶液と前記スプレーヘッド内に収容された前記液体溶液との前記イオン濃度差によって、前記液滴内の前記構造的ユニットが、前記スプレーヘッド内に収容された前記構造的ユニットよりも実質的に高い反応性を有する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記材料構造を形成することが前記構造的ユニットの重合を備え、前記重合が前記基板の前記表面上で直接又は前記基板の前記表面に隣接して生じる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- スプレーヘッドにおける液体溶液内に含有された構造的ユニットから基板の表面上にコーティングを形成する方法であって、前記スプレーヘッドが導電壁を有する分与デバイスを備え、前記液体溶液が溶媒及び溶質を含み、前記溶質が複数の前記構造的ユニットを備え、前記溶質内の前記構造的ユニットがモノマーユニット、オリゴマーユニット、又はそれらの組み合わせを含み、前記方法が、
前記分与デバイスの前記壁と前記スプレーヘッドの環状電極又は接地のいずれかとの間に電圧を印加し、これによって前記分与デバイスに隣接した前記液体溶液の表面を帯電させる、ことと、
前記帯電表面において液体溶液から液滴を形成し、前記液滴に電荷を持たせ、前記液滴を前記基板の前記表面に送り出すことであって、前記液滴が前記溶質の複数の前記構造的ユニットを含む、ことと、
前記液滴内の前記複数の前記構造的ユニットから前記基板の前記表面上に前記コーティングを形成することと、
を備える、方法。 - 前記コーティングを形成することが前記構造的ユニットの重合を備え、前記重合が前記基板の前記表面上で直接又は前記基板の前記表面に隣接して生じる、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記構造的ユニットが単官能分子であり、前記コーティングを形成することが前記単官能分子の実質的に単層のコーティングを形成することを備える、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングを形成することが、複数の前記単官能分子の各々に、前記基板の前記表面上の結合部位との共有結合を形成させることを更に備える、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記液滴からの溶媒が少なくとも部分的に蒸発するのを可能とすることを更に備え、前記溶媒の前記少なくとも部分的な蒸発後、前記液滴の前記正味の電荷によって、前記液滴内に含有された前記液体溶液が、前記スプレーヘッド内に収容された前記液体溶液とは異なるイオン濃度を有する、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記液滴内に含有された前記液体溶液と前記スプレーヘッド内に収容された前記液体溶液との前記イオン濃度差によって、前記液滴内の前記構造的ユニットが、前記スプレーヘッド内に収容された前記構造的ユニットよりも実質的に高い非平衡状態となる、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングが、前記基板による水分喪失又は摂取、前記基板による揮発性喪失又は摂取、前記基板内に拡散し得る酸素ガスとの反応による酸化、又は表面摩耗を防止又は抑制するように構成されている、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記基板が、人が食べられるものであり、前記コーティングが食用コーティングである、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記貯蔵槽内の前記液体溶液が、前記貯蔵槽内の前記溶質における前記構造的ユニットが実質的に平衡状態であるように、それらが実質的に相互に結合しないように構成されている、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記液滴を形成すること及び前記液滴に正味の電荷を持たせることが、結果として、前記液滴内の前記溶媒を、前記貯蔵槽内に収容された前記溶液の状態よりも平衡から離れた状態にし、前記液滴内の前記構造的ユニットが相互に又は前記基板と共有結合を形成することを可能とする、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記分与デバイスが毛細管を備える、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 基板の表面上で構造的ユニットの共有結合に触媒作用を及ぼす方法であって、前記構造的ユニットがモノマーユニット、オリゴマーユニット、又はそれらの組み合わせを備え、前記方法が、
導電壁を有する分与デバイスを備えたスプレーヘッドを提供することであって、前記スプレーヘッドが溶媒を含む液体溶液を収容する、ことと、
前記分与デバイスの前記壁と接地又は前記スプレーヘッドの環状電極のいずれかとの間に電圧を印加することであって、前記印加電圧によって前記分与デバイスに隣接した前記液体溶液の表面に正味の電荷を持たせる、ことと、
前記分与デバイスに隣接した前記帯電表面において液体溶液から液滴を形成し、前記液滴に正味の電荷を持たせ、前記液滴を前記基板の前記表面上にスプレーすることと、
前記液滴内の溶媒が少なくとも部分的に蒸発するのを可能とすることと、
を備え、前記溶媒が蒸発すると、前記液滴の前記正味の電荷によって、前記液滴内に含有された前記液体溶液のイオン濃度が変化する、方法。 - 前記液滴内の前記溶媒の前記少なくとも部分的な蒸発後の前記液体溶液の前記イオン濃度が、前記基板の前記表面上で前記液滴に隣接した前記構造的ユニットの前記共有結合に触媒作用を及ぼすのに充分な範囲内である、請求項25に記載の方法。
- 前記共有結合に触媒作用を及ぼすことが、前記構造的ユニットの重合に触媒作用を及ぼして前記基板の前記表面上にポリマー材料構造を形成することを備える、請求項26に記載の方法。
- 前記共有結合に触媒作用を及ぼすことが、前記ポリマー材料構造の前記構造的ユニットの少なくとも一部と前記基板の前記表面との間の共有結合の形成に触媒作用を及ぼすことを更に備える、請求項27に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマー材料構造が前記基板を取り囲む保護コーティングである、請求項27に記載の方法。
- 複数の構造的ユニットから材料構造を形成するために適合されたアセンブリであって、前記構造的ユニットがモノマーユニット、オリゴマーユニット、又はそれらの組み合わせを備え、前記アセンブリが、
溶媒及び溶質を含む液体溶液を保持するように適合されたスプレーヘッドであって、前記溶質が非反応状態又は低反応性状態の前記構造的ユニットを備え、前記構造的ユニットが相互に実質的に結合しないようになっており、導電性の壁を有する分与デバイスが取り付けられた、スプレーヘッドと、
第1の端子及び第2の端子を有する電圧供給源であって、前記第1の端子が前記分与デバイスの前記壁に電気的に接続され、前記第2の端子が接地又は前記スプレーヘッドの環状電極のいずれかに電気的に接続されている、電圧供給源と、
を備え、
前記電圧供給源からの電圧の印加により、前記液体溶液の帯電液滴が前記分与デバイスから放出され、このため、前記液滴内の溶媒が蒸発すると前記液滴のpHが変化する、アセンブリ。 - 前記材料構造が前記構造的ユニットから形成されたポリマーを備える、請求項30に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アセンブリが前記液滴を受容するように構成された基板を更に備え、前記基板が、人が食べられるものであり、前記材料構造が食用コーティングを備える、請求項30に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記食用コーティングの前記構造的ユニットの少なくとも一部が前記基板の表面と共有結合されている、請求項32に記載のアセンブリ。
- 液体溶液のイオン濃度を変更する方法であって、
分与デバイスに結合された貯蔵槽を備えたアセンブリを提供することであって、前記分与デバイスが導電壁を備え、前記貯蔵槽が前記液体溶液を収容する、ことと、
前記分与デバイスの前記壁と接地又は前記アセンブリの環状電極のいずれかとの間に電圧を印加し、これによって前記分与デバイスに隣接した前記液体溶液の表面に正味の電荷を持たせる、ことと、
前記分与デバイスに隣接した前記帯電表面において液体溶液から液滴を形成し、前記液滴に正味の電荷を持たせることと、
前記液滴が部分的に蒸発するのを可能とすることと、
を備え、前記液滴の前記部分的な蒸発によって、前記液滴内の前記溶液の前記イオン濃度が前記貯蔵槽内の前記溶液の前記イオン濃度とは異なるものとなる、方法。 - 前記液滴を基板上にスプレーすることを更に備え、前記液滴が前記基板を消毒するように機能する、請求項34に記載の方法。
- 前記基板が農業用機器、農産物、又は医療用機器を備える、請求項35に記載の方法。
