Abstract
Description
本出願は、2012年11月1日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/721,261号の利益を主張する。この仮出願は、参照によりその全体が本明細書に組み込まれている。
(A)可撓性の片面接着材20。ここで非接着面22は好ましくはプリント工程を表面で完成できる材料であり、また接着面24はその次の層に結合される。
(B)以下の構成要素を様々な順序で含み得る電子部品インレイ30。:
(a.)電池電極33A,33Bを有する印刷された可撓性電池32;
(b.)電池コンタクトパッド35A,35Bを有する(印刷またはエッチングまたは積層された)可撓性回路34;

(d.)ワイヤレス通信プロトコル(たとえば、HF/NFCおよびIS0−15693RFIDまたはその他)を用い、かつ温度読み取り値を得てこれらの読み取り値および読み取りの時間をオンボードのメモリに格納する能力を有する、集積回路38。
ならびに、
(C)剥離ライナ42を有する両面接着材40。ここで接着材40の一方面43(たとえば、外側に面した面)は好ましくは皮膚接触認可接着剤である。
たとえば、一度完成したパッチ10は、単一の取り外し可能な層を剥離ライナ42として有することができ、この剥離ライナ42はパッチ10を皮膚上に接着する直前に患者によって取り外される。アンテナ36および集積回路38を含め、可撓性回路34は、30mm×40mmサイズで厚さ1mm未満(たとえば、0.8mm以下など)など、比較的小さいサイズを有することができるが、様々なサイズが企図される。様々な層はそれらの間に、製造を容易にするための剥離ライナを有し得る感圧接着材のような接着材を含み得ることが理解される。たとえば、様々な層20、層32、層34、層40のうちの一部または全てが別個に製造され、次いで後に1つに組み立てられ得ることが企図される。たとえば、電池32および印刷された可撓性回路34の両方は、パッチ10を製造するために別個に製造され1つに組み立てられ得る。感圧接着材は様々な層のうちの一部または全てに取り付けられ得る。代替として、様々な層は、糊、溶接、他の接着剤などを介してなど、様々な他の様式で1つに結合され得る。
(A)直接の皮膚接触用途を意図した比較的高性能の医療グレード接着材のシステムを含み、かつ、様々な基板に対して優れたウェットアウトを示す永久接着剤を用いて好ましくは構成された、コーティングされた不織PSAテープ44。
(B)上記電子部品インレイ30と同様であっても異なってもよく(かつ片面接着材20の層も任意選択で含んでよく)、かつ以下の構成要素を様々な順序で含み得る、電子部品インレイ30B;
(a.)印刷された可撓性電池32;
(b.)可撓性回路34;
(c.)アンテナ36;および
(d.)ワイヤレス通信プロトコルを用いる集積回路38。
(C)好ましくは電子部品インレイ30Bと患者の皮膚との間に熱導管を提供するための皮膚接触認可接着剤である(かつ上記の接着材40と同様であってよい)、両面接着材46。
(D)パッチ10Bの患者の皮膚への接着を促進するための追加の両面接着材層48。
ならびに、
(E)剥離ライナ49としての(かつ上記の剥離ライナ42と同様であってよい)、単一の取り外し可能な層。
層(C)、層(D)、および層(E)については、様々な材料を使用してよい。
・平坦で、厚さが比較的均一であり、縁部が中央部の厚さよりも薄い、
・比較的薄型である、
・平坦で、厚さが比較的均一であり、縁部が中央部とほぼ同じ厚さである、
・可撓性を有する、
・多くの幾何学的形状が可能である、
・シールされた容器、
・単純な構造、
・高速大量生産用の設計、
・低コスト、
・多くの温度での信頼性の高い性能、
・良好な低温性能、
・使い捨て可能かつ環境に優しい、
・両方のセル/電池コンタクトが、反対側の表面上に設けられるか、または同じ表面上にさえ設けられる、
・両方のセル/電池コンタクトを電池外装上の多くの位置に設けることができる、
・応用品への組み立ての容易さ、および、
・電子応用品の製作中に同時に、連続的な工程内に容易に統合可能である。
Claims (25)
- ワイヤレスデータ通信を行う能動的に電力供給される温度データ・ロガー・パッチであって、
第1の基板層と、
少なくとも一方が硬化したインクまたは乾燥したインクから形成されるアノードおよびカソードを有する印刷された電気化学セル、ならびに前記アノードおよび前記カソードの一方にそれぞれ電気的に結合された第1の電池電極コンタクトおよび第2の電池電極コンタクトを備えるシールされた可撓性電池と、
マイクロプロセッサ、標的対象の温度を感知するように構成された温度センサ、ワイヤレス通信送受信部、およびアンテナを備える可撓性回路であって、前記第1の電池電極コンタクトおよび前記第2の電池電極コンタクトの一方にそれぞれ電気的に結合され、それにより前記マイクロプロセッサおよび前記温度センサに電力供給する第1の電池コンタクトパッドおよび第2の電池コンタクトパッドをさらに備える、可撓性回路と、
前記標的対象の表面に取り外し可能に貼付されるように構成された接着材を備える第2の基板層と、を備え、
前記可撓性電池および前記可撓性回路が共に前記第1の基板層と前記第2の基板層との間に被覆する積層配置構成で配置される電子部品インレイを備え、
前記第1の基板層、前記電子部品インレイ、および前記第2の基板層の全てが可撓性でありかつ前記標的対象の湾曲した表面に従うように構成される、前記能動的に電力供給される温度データ・ロガー・パッチ。 - 前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部が電磁場を介して外部コンピューティングデバイスから受動的に電力供給されるように構成される、請求項1に記載のパッチ。
- 前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部が標準的なNFC通信プロトコルを利用する、請求項2に記載のパッチ。
- 前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部が標準的なBluetooth(登録商標)通信プロトコルまたはBluetooth(登録商標)低エネルギー通信プロトコルを利用する、請求項1に記載のパッチ。
- 前記マイクロプロセッサが固有識別子コード(UID)を備える、請求項1に記載のパッチ。
- 前記マイクロプロセッサがタイマをさらに備え、
前記タイマは、前記マイクロプロセッサが前記温度センサから周期的な時間間隔で複数の温度サンプルを取得することを可能にするように構成される、請求項1に記載のパッチ。 - 前記マイクロプロセッサがメモリをさらに備え、
前記メモリは、各温度サンプルについて関連付けられたタイムスタンプと共に前記温度サンプルを格納する、請求項6に記載のパッチ。 - 前記可撓性回路が補助メモリ格納デバイスをさらに備え、かつ、
前記マイクロプロセッサが前記マイクロプロセッサの前記メモリと前記補助メモリ格納デバイスとの間でデータを伝送するように構成される、請求項7に記載のパッチ。 - 前記マイクロプロセッサが、外部コンピューティングデバイスに前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部および前記アンテナを介してワイヤレスで前記複数の温度サンプルを送信するように構成される、請求項5に記載のパッチ。
- 前記可撓性電池における前記第1の電池電極コンタクトおよび前記第2の電池電極コンタクトが、前記可撓性回路における前記第1の電池コンタクトパッドおよび前記第2の電池コンタクトパッドに機械的かつ電気的に結合される、請求項1に記載のパッチ。
- 前記第2の基板がハイドロゲルを少なくとも部分的に備え、
前記ハイドロゲルは、前記温度センサを覆って被覆する関係で配置されかつ患者の皮膚に取り外し可能に貼付されるように構成される、請求項1に記載のパッチ。 - 前記第2の基板がポリエチレンフォームを少なくとも部分的に備え、
前記ポリエチレンフォームは、患者の皮膚に取り外し可能に貼付されるように構成された感圧接着材で少なくとも片面をコーティングされている、請求項1に記載のパッチ。 - 前記電子部品インレイが前記第1の基板層と前記第2の基板層との間に封入される、請求項1に記載のパッチ。
- 前記電気化学セルの前記アノードおよび前記カソードの両方が硬化したインクまたは乾燥したインクを備え、かつ、
前記アノードおよび前記カソードが同一平面の配置構成で設けられる、請求項1に記載のパッチ。 - ワイヤレスデータ通信を行う能動的に電力供給される温度データ・ロガー・パッチであって、
第1の基板層と、
同一平面の配置構成で設けられたアノードおよびカソードを有する印刷された電気化学セルを備えるシールされた可撓性電池と、
マイクロプロセッサ、標的対象の温度を感知するように構成された温度センサ、ワイヤレス通信送受信部、およびアンテナを備える可撓性回路と、を備え、
前記マイクロプロセッサは電力を前記可撓性電池から能動的に受け取り、前記温度センサは前記マイクロプロセッサから電力を能動的に受け取り、前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部は電磁場によって外部コンピューティングデバイスから受動的に電力供給され、
前記標的対象の表面に取り外し可能に貼付されるように構成された接着材を備える第2の基板層をさらに備え、
前記可撓性電池および前記可撓性回路は前記第1の基板層と前記第2の基板層との間に配設され、前記第1の基板層、前記電子部品インレイ、および前記第2の基板層は全て可撓性である、能動的に電力供給される温度データ・ロガー・パッチ。 - 前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記マイクロプロセッサが前記温度センサから温度サンプルを取得しているときのみ、前記温度センサに電力を選択的に提供するように構成される、請求項15に記載のパッチ。
- 前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部が標準的なNFC通信プロトコルを利用する、請求項15に記載のパッチ。
- 前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記マイクロプロセッサが前記温度センサから周期的な時間間隔で温度サンプルを取得することを可能にするように構成されたタイマをさらに備え、かつ、
前記マイクロプロセッサがメモリをさらに備え、
前記メモリは、前記温度サンプルを、各温度サンプルについて関連付けられたタイムスタンプと共に格納する、請求項15に記載のパッチ。 - 前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記外部コンピューティングデバイスに前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部および前記アンテナを介して各温度サンプルをワイヤレスで送信するように構成される、請求項15に記載のパッチ。
- 患者の体温をモニタするための能動的に電力供給される医療システムであって、
同一平面の配置構成で設けられたアノードおよびカソードを有する印刷された電気化学セルを備えるシールされた可撓性電池と、マイクロプロセッサ、前記患者の温度を感知するように構成された温度センサ、タイマ、メモリ、ワイヤレス通信送受信部、およびアンテナを備える可撓性回路と、前記患者の皮膚に取り外し可能に貼付されるように構成された接着材を備える基板層と、を備える、能動的に電力供給される可撓性の温度データロギング用パッチを備え、
前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサ、前記温度センサ、前記タイマ、および前記メモリが全て前記可撓性電池によって能動的に電力供給され、
アプリケーションを実行できるプログラム可能なマイクロプロセッサと、アクティブ型電力供給部と、ディスプレイと、前記アクティブ型電力供給部によって電力供給されかつ電磁場を介して前記パッチの前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部と双方向通信可能な送受信部と、を備える外部コンピューティングデバイスをさらに備え、
前記パッチの前記ワイヤレス通信送受信部が前記電磁場によって前記外部コンピューティングデバイスから受動的に電力供給され、
前記外部コンピューティングデバイスが、前記マイクロプロセッサが前記温度センサに電力を提供することおよび前記温度センサから複数の温度サンプルの取得を開始することを可能にする前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサに、初期化コマンドおよび初期化開始時間を送信するように構成され、かつ、
前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記外部コンピューティングデバイスに初期化の成功を示す確認信号を送信して返すように構成される、能動的に電力供給される医療システム。 - 前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記複数の温度サンプルを、各温度サンプルについて関連付けられたタイムスタンプと共に前記パッチの前記メモリに格納するようにさらに構成される、請求項20に記載の医療システム。
- 前記外部コンピューティングデバイスが、周期的な時間読み取り間隔を前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサに送信するようにさらに構成され、かつ、
前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記周期的な時間読み取り間隔に対応する速度で前記温度センサから前記複数の温度サンプルを取得するように構成される、請求項21に記載の医療システム。 - 前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記複数の温度サンプルおよび前記関連付けられたタイムスタンプを前記外部コンピューティングデバイスに送信するように構成され、かつ、
前記外部コンピューティングデバイスが、前記複数の温度サンプルおよび前記関連付けられたタイムスタンプをグラフィカルに前記ディスプレイ上に表示するように構成される、接着材21に記載の医療システム。 - 前記外部コンピューティングデバイスが、前記複数の温度サンプルおよび前記関連付けられたタイムスタンプを以降の検索のためにオンボードのメモリに保存するようにさらに構成される、請求項23に記載の医療システム。
- 前記外部コンピューティングデバイスが、前記外部コンピューティングデバイスが前記パッチの初期化が成功しなかったと判定した場合に、再初期化コマンドおよび再初期化開始時間を前記パッチの前記マイクロプロセッサに送信するようにさらに構成される、請求項20に記載の医療システム。
