Abstract
Description
本出願は、2007年9月14日に出願された米国仮特許出願第60/993,907号の優先権の利益を主張し、その開示を参照により本明細書に援用する。
発明の分野
本発明は、一般に、相互作用型表示システム(interactive display systems)に関する。より具体的には、本発明は、三次元環境において相互作用型ディスプレイとのジェスチャベースのユーザインタラクションを処理するためのユーザインタフェースに関する。
多くの既存の相互作用技術は、二次元カメラのようなものに依存する。これらのカメラによって生成された二次元データは、前景を背景から分離する目的で確実に解析するのが困難である。その結果、ユーザの手または他の付属器官を分離し、それらの対応する動作を追跡するのが困難である。
第1の実施形態において、相互作用型ディスプレイとのジェスチャベースのユーザインタラクションを処理するための方法が開示される。この方法を介して、定義された三次元空間におけるオブジェクトに関する三次元情報が収集される。定義された三次元空間におけるユーザの手に対応する三次元情報の一部が、識別される。デジタルオブジェクトのスクリーン画像が、ユーザの物理的形状に関連しかつ近似するスクリーン画像として、表示される。表示されたスクリーン画像は、ユーザの画像に近似し、かつ表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと相互作用しない(does not interact)。定義された三次元空間におけるユーザの手に対応するアイコンが表示される。アイコンは、表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと相互作用することができる。
図1は、例示的なフラットパネルインタフェースシステム100を示す。システム100には、ディスプレイ160、三次元視覚システム110、コンピューティングシステム130、およびオプションの照明器120が含まれる。システム100は、任意の様々なフォームファクタ(form factor)に従って構成してもよい。
Claims (17)
- 相互作用型ディスプレイとのジェスチャベースのユーザインタラクションを処理するための方法であって、
定義された三次元空間における対象に関する三次元情報を収集することと、
前記定義された三次元空間におけるユーザの手に対応する前記三次元情報の一部を識別することと、
デジタルオブジェクトのスクリーン画像を表示することと、
前記ユーザの物理的形状に関連しかつ近似するスクリーン画像を表示することであって、前記ユーザの物理的形状に近似する前記表示されたスクリーン画像が、前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと相互作用しないことと、
前記定義された三次元空間における前記ユーザの前記手に対応するアイコンを表示することであって、前記表示されたアイコンが、前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと相互作用できることと、
を含む方法。 - 相互作用型ディスプレイとのジェスチャベースのユーザインタラクションを処理するための方法であって、
定義された三次元空間における複数のユーザに関する三次元情報を収集することであって、前記定義された三次元空間が、複数の体積ゾーンを含み、前記三次元情報によって定義された前記複数のユーザのそれぞれにおける一部が、前記複数の体積ゾーンの1つまたは複数に位置することと、
前記定義された三次元空間における前記複数のユーザの1人の手に対応する前記三次元情報の一部を識別することと、
スクリーン上のデジタルオブジェクトを表示することと、
前記複数のユーザの1人が前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと現在相互作用できるかどうかの指示を、前記複数の体積ゾーンの1つまたは複数における前記複数のユーザの前記1人の前記位置に基づいて表示することと、
を含む方法。 - 前記複数の体積ゾーンが、残りの体積ゾーンに比べて前記相互作用型ディスプレイから最も遠い体積ゾーンを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと相互作用しない、かつ残りの体積ゾーンに比べて前記相互作用型ディスプレイから最も遠い前記体積ゾーンに位置する前記複数のユーザの1人の物理的形状に関連し近似するスクリーン画像を表示することをさらに含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 残りの体積ゾーンに比べて前記相互作用型ディスプレイから最も遠い前記体積ゾーンに位置する前記複数のユーザの1人の前記スクリーン画像の表示が、前記表示されたスクリーン上のデジタルオブジェクトと相互作用するための体積ゾーンに位置する前記複数のユーザの1人の物理的形状に関連し近似するスクリーン画像の表示と異なる、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の体積ゾーンが、残りの体積ゾーンに比べて前記相互作用型ディスプレイに最も近い体積ゾーンを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のユーザの1人が前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと現在相互作用できるかどうかの指示が、相互作用型ディスプレイに対する、前記複数の体積ゾーンの前記1つまたは複数についての近接性に対応する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の体積ゾーンが、前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトとの相互作用のための体積ゾーンを含み、前記複数のユーザの前記1人の前記手に対応するアイコンが、前記複数のユーザの前記1人の前記対応する手が前記表示されたオブジェクトと相互作用するための前記体積ゾーンにある場合にのみ表示される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 相互作用型ディスプレイとのジェスチャベースのユーザインタラクションを処理するための方法であって、
定義された三次元空間における対象に関する三次元情報を収集することと、
前記定義された三次元空間におけるユーザの手に対応する前記三次元情報の一部を識別することと、
デジタルオブジェクトのスクリーン画像を表示することであって、前記デジタルオブジェクトが、前記ユーザが前記デジタルオブジェクトの活性化レベル閾値を超えたかどうかに対応する視覚的に知覚可能な活性化状態を有することと、
前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記スクリーン画像と相互作用するためのアイコンを表示することであって、前記アイコンが、前記定義された三次元空間における前記ユーザの前記手に対応し、前記活性化レベルが、経時的な前記ユーザの前記手の位置に対応することと、
を含む方法。 - 前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記視覚的に知覚可能な活性化状態が、前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記活性化レベル閾値を超えたかどうかを示す、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記視覚的に知覚可能な活性化状態が、前記ユーザの前記手に対応する前記アイコンによって示される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記視覚的に知覚可能な活性化状態が、前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記スクリーン画像によって示される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトの前記視覚的に知覚可能な活性化状態が、非活性化、部分的活性化および活性化からなる群から選択される、請求項10に記載の方法。

定義された三次元空間における対象に関する三次元情報を収集することと、
前記定義された三次元空間におけるユーザの手に対応する前記三次元情報の一部を識別することと、
デジタルオブジェクトのスクリーン画像を表示することであって、前記デジタルオブジェクトが、前記ユーザが前記デジタルオブジェクトの活性化レベル閾値を超えたかどうかに対応する視覚的に知覚可能な活性化状態を有することと、
前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記スクリーン画像と相互作用するためのアイコンを表示することであって、前記アイコンが、前記定義された三次元空間における前記ユーザの前記手に対応し、前記活性化レベル閾値が、経時的に前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトと比べた前記ユーザの前記手に対応する前記表示されたアイコンの位置に対応することと、

前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記スクリーン画像と相互作用するためのアイコンを表示することであって、前記アイコンが、前記定義された三次元空間における前記ユーザの前記手に対応し、前記表示されたデジタルオブジェクトの前記活性化レベル閾値を超えた場合のみ、前記アイコンが前記デジタルオブジェクトに関連する動作を制御することができ、前記アイコンが前記デジタルオブジェクトに関連する領域に経時的に隣接していることの結果として、前記デジタルオブジェクトの前記活性化レベル閾値を超えることと、
