Abstract
Description
本願明細書において「エチレン/アルキル(メタ)アクリレートコポリマー」および「エチレン/(メタ)アクリレートコポリマー」は同様に用いられ、およびエチレンモノマーおよび少なくとも1種のアルキルアクリレートまたはアルキルメタクリレートコモノマーの共重合から誘導される熱可塑性エチレンコポリマーを意味し、ここで、アルキル基は1〜8個の炭素原子を含有する。アルキルアクリレートの例としては、メチルアクリレート、エチルアクリレートおよびブチルアクリレートが挙げられる。「エチレン/メチルアクリレート(EMA)」とは、エチレン(E)およびメチルアクリレート(MA)のコポリマーを意味する。「エチレン/エチルアクリレート(EEA)」とは、エチレン(E)およびエチルアクリレート(EA)のコポリマーを意味する。「エチレン/ブチルアクリレート(EBA)」とは、エチレン(E)およびブチルアクリレート(BA)のコポリマーを意味する。
ポリオレフィンは、オレフィンのホモポリマーおよびコポリマーから選択されることができ、ここで、オレフィンモノマーは2〜8個の炭素原子を有する。ポリエチレンホモポリマー、ポリプロピレンホモポリマー、エチレンを含むコポリマー、およびプロピレンを含むコポリマーからなる群から選択されるポリオレフィンが好ましい。本願明細書において記載された組成物に有用なポリエチレン(PE)は、多様な手法により調製することができ、例えば、限定されないが、周知のZiegler−Natta触媒重合(例えば米国特許第4,076,698号明細書および米国特許第3,645,992号明細書を参照のこと)、メタロセン触媒重合(例えば米国特許第5,198,401号明細書および米国特許第5,405,922号明細書を参照のこと)、Versipol(登録商標)触媒重合およびフリーラジカル重合によって調製できる。重合は、溶液相法、気相法等として実施することができる。本願明細書において有用なポリエチレンポリマーとしては、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)、直鎖低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、超低密度または超超低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPEまたはULDPE)などの線状ポリエチレン、および低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)などの分岐ポリエチレンを挙げることができる。本発明で用いるのに好適なポリエチレンの密度は、約0.865g/cc〜約0.970g/ccの範囲である。本願明細書において用いるための線状ポリエチレンは、ブテン、ヘキセンまたはオクテンなどのα−オレフィンコモノマーを、記載された密度範囲内にそれらの密度を低減するために組み込むことができる。用語「ポリエチレン」は、本願明細書において用いられるとき、上記のエチレンを含むポリマーのいずれかまたはすべてを総称的に指すのに用いられる。
本発明の組成物は粘着性樹脂(粘着付与剤)を含有する。粘着付与剤は、米国特許第3,484,405号明細書において列挙されたものなどの、技術分野において周知であるいずれかの粘着付与剤であり得る。このような粘着剤としては、多様な天然および合成樹脂およびロジン材料が挙げられる。樹脂は、一般に明確な融点を有さずおよび結晶化する傾向のない有機化合物の混合物の形態である液体、半固体−固体、複合アモルファス材料であることができる。このような樹脂は不水溶性であり、および植物または動物に由来のものであることができ、または合成樹脂であることができる。樹脂は、組成物に対して相当なおよび改善された粘着性を提供することができる。好適な粘着剤としては、限定されないが、以下に考察された樹脂が挙げられる。
充填材の添加は、組成物の耐熱性を増加しおよび剥離シール特徴に影響させる手段として機能することができる。
PET/tie/PCTFE;または
ナイロン/adh/PET/tie/PCTFE。
EMA−7:DuPontから入手可能な、MIが6である、エチレン/メチルアクリレート(9重量%)コポリマー。
接着剤層として実施例10の組成物を含む多層構造を、Egan積層機での押出し積層により調製した。実施例10の組成物を、以下の温度プロファイル(°F)でフラットダイを通してエクストルーダに供給した:
供給ゾーン:350、ゾーン2:470、ゾーン3:490、計量ゾーン:490、アダプター:490、ダイ:490。
0.9ミルPCTFEフィルム基材上に接着剤コーティング層として実施例10の組成物を含む2層構造を、実施例13に類似の処理条件を用いて、Egan積層機での押出しコーティングによって調製した。
接着剤結束層として実施例10の組成物を含む、9ミルPVC/0.02〜0.05ミルtie/0.9ミルPCTFE3層構造を、実施例13に類似の処理条件を用いて、積層機での押出し積層によって調製した。
接着剤結束層として実施例10の組成物を含む、9ミルPET/0.02〜0.05ミルtie/0.9ミルPCTFE3層構造を、実施例13に類似の処理条件を用いて、積層機での押出し積層によって調製した。
9ミルPVC/0.02〜0.05ミルtie/0.9ミルPCTFE基材上に、接着剤ヒートシールコーティング層として実施例10の組成物を含む4層構造を、実施例13に類似の処理条件を用いて、実施例9の3層積層体のPCTFE表面を積層機で押出しコーティングすることによって調製した。替わりに、4層構造は、タンデム機能を備えた積層機(すなわち第2の積層アセンブリを備えた機器)を通す単一パスで、第1の積層アセンブリにおいて、実施例10の組成物の溶融カーテンをPVCおよびPCTFE基材の間に敷き、および次いで第2の積層アセンブリにおいて、PCTFE表面を実施例10の組成物で押出しコーティングすることにより調製することができた。
9ミルPET/0.02〜0.05ミルtie/0.9ミルPCTFE基材上に、接着剤ヒートシールコーティング層として実施例10の組成物を含む4層構造を、実施例13に類似の処理条件を用いて、実施例10の3層積層体のPCTFE表面を積層機で押出しコーティングすることによって調製した。替わりに、4層構造は、タンデム機能を備えた積層機(すなわち第2の積層アセンブリを備えた機器)を通す単一パスで、第1の積層アセンブリにおいて、実施例10の組成物の溶融カーテンをPVCおよびPCTFE基材の間に敷き、および次いで第2の積層アセンブリにおいて、PCTFE表面を実施例10の組成物で押出しコーティングすることにより調製することができた。
接着剤結束層およびヒートシール層として実施例10の組成物を含む4層構造を、層状ダイを通した共押出しによって調製して、9ミルPVC/0.02〜0.05ミルtie/0.9ミルPCTFE/0.02〜0.05ミルシーリング材構造を提供した。

押出し機中における乾式配合に続く溶融配合の、標準的なブレンド技術を用いて、表4および5に列挙された材料をブレンドすることにより組成物を調製して、本発明の組成物である実施例21〜25を提供した。80重量%のTack−1および20重量%のPE−2の溶融ブレンドを、これらの組成物において、Tack−1の供給源(補足的なPE−2と共に)として用いた(表4および5において、これらの成分について報告された量は、プレブレンドの組み込み後の総量である)。
剥離強度:シール層を、標準的なシーリング機器および条件を用いて基材にシールして、1インチ幅のシールされたストリップを提供した。層を、特に記載のない限り、シール層/基材界面で分離し、および引張試験機において室温で、12インチ/分の剥離速度での「T−剥離」構成で引張った。層を分離するための平均の力を幅で除したものが剥離強度(g/インチ)として報告された。典型的には、3〜10の個別の測定値を一緒に平均して報告した。
実施例9のフィルムの多層構造を、Medipak Model CP−2lパッケージング機(上部および下部成形温度115℃)を用いてブリスターパックブランクに熱成形した。
Claims (13)
- 少なくとも1種のエチレンコポリマー、少なくとも1種のポリオレフィン、少なくとも1種の粘着性樹脂、および任意成分の充填材を含む組成物であって、
前記エチレンコポリマーがエチレン、アルキル(メタ)アクリレート、および任意成分のコモノマーから誘導される繰り返し単位を含み、
前記ポリオレフィンが、好ましくはポリエチレンホモポリマー、ポリプロピレンホモポリマー、エチレンを含むコポリマー、またはプロピレンを含むコポリマー、またはこれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを包含し、
前記粘着性樹脂が、好ましくはクマロンインデン樹脂、テルペン樹脂、ブタジエン−スチレン樹脂、炭化水素樹脂、ロジン材料、またはこれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを包含し、
前記任意成分のコモノマーが無水マレイン酸、グリシジルメタクリレート、一酸化炭素、またはこれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを包含し、ならびに
(a)約10〜約80重量%の少なくとも1種のエチレン/アルキル(メタ)アクリレートコポリマー、約5〜約60重量%の少なくとも1種のポリオレフィン、約0.5〜約35重量%の少なくとも1種の粘着性樹脂、および0〜約35重量%の充填材、または
(b)約15〜約70重量%の少なくとも1種のエチレン/アルキル(メタ)アクリレートコポリマー、約15〜約45重量%の少なくとも1種のポリオレフィン、および(c)約10〜約20重量%の少なくとも1種の粘着性樹脂、または
(c)約40〜約70重量%の少なくとも1種のエチレン/アルキル(メタ)アクリレートコポリマー、約15〜約45重量%の少なくとも1種のポリオレフィン、および約10〜約20重量%の少なくとも1種の粘着性樹脂
を含むかまたはそれから製造される組成物。 - 前記エチレンコポリマーが前記組成物に約40〜約70重量%で存在し、前記エチレンコポリマーが5〜30重量%のC1-4アルキル(メタ)アクリレートから誘導される繰り返し単位を含み、好ましくは前記エチレンコポリマーが9〜24重量%のメチルアクリレートから誘導される繰り返し単位を含む請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記エチレンコポリマーが約0.1〜約100g/10分、約0.5〜約50g/10分、または約0.5〜約30g/10分のメルトインデックスを有し、および前記エチレンコポリマーが好ましくは各々エチレンおよびメチルアクリレートから誘導される2種の異なるコポリマーを含む請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 前記エチレンコポリマーが前記任意成分のコモノマーから誘導される繰り返し単位をさらに含む請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリオレフィンが、エチレンおよび1−ブテン、1オクテン、またはこれらの組み合わせから誘導されるコポリマーである請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記粘着性樹脂がポリリモネンから誘導される請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記エチレンコポリマーが管型反応器製造エチレンコポリマーである請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が第1の基材、第2の基材、または両方に接着されており、前記第1の基材がフルオロポリマー材料であり、前記第2の基材がフォイル、紙、ポリエステル、ポリアミド、ポリオレフィン、ポリエチレンビニルアルコール、ポリエチレンビニルアセテート、エチレン酸コポリマー、エチレン酸コポリマーのアイオノマー、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、無水物変性ポリオレフィン、またはこれらの2つ以上の組み合わせであり、および前記第1の基材、前記第2の基材、または両方はフィルムまたはシートの形態であってもよい請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 組成物を含む少なくとも1つの層と、少なくとも1種のフルオロポリマーを含む少なくとも1つの層を含み、および少なくとも1つの層を任意に含んでもよい多層構造であって、前記組成物が、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のものであり、前記フルオロポリマーが、好ましくはポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンであり、前記任意に含んでいてもよい層がフォイル、紙、ポリエステル、ポリアミド、ポリオレフィン、ポリエチレンビニルアルコール、ポリエチレンビニルアセテート、エチレン酸コポリマー、エチレン酸コポリマーのアイオノマー、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ塩化ビニリデン、無水物変性ポリオレフィン、またはこれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを含み、および前記任意に含んでいてもよい層が、好ましくはポリ塩化ビニル、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、またはこれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを含む多層構造。
- 前記任意に含んでいてもよい層を含み、前記多層構造が可熱成形ウェブまたは可撓性フィルムを包含する請求項9に記載の多層構造。
- 多層構造を含むかまたはそれから製造されるパッケージであって、前記パッケージが成形容器、加圧容器、熱成形剛性容器、ブリスターパック、熱成形ブリスターパック、またはこれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを包含し、および前記多層構造が請求項9または10に記載のものであるパッケージ。

少なくとも第1の層および少なくとも第2の層を含む剥離性ふたであって、前記第1の層が組成物を含むかまたはそれから製造され、前記組成物が、約10〜約90重量%の少なくとも1種のエチレン/アルキル(メタ)アクリレートコポリマー、約5〜約60重量%の少なくとも1種のポリオレフィン、0〜約35重量%の少なくとも1種の粘着性樹脂、および0〜約35重量%の充填材を含むかまたはそれから製造され、および前記第2の層がフルオロポリマー、好ましくはポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンを含むかまたはそれから製造されるふたとを含み、ならびに
前記パッケージが容器、ポーチ、または両方である
請求項11に記載のパッケージ。 - 組成物を(1)フルオロポリマー、好ましくはポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンを含むかまたはそれから製造される物品、(2)任意に含んでいてもよい層、または(1)および(2)の両方に接着する工程を含み、前記組成物が請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のものであり、および前記任意に含んでいてもよい層が請求項26に記載のものである方法。
