Claims (18)
- 電子設備機器を収容し、かつ、冷却するためのモジュラデータセンタであって、該データセンタは、
複数のハウジングであって、該ハウジングの第1の部分は、熱を生じる電子設備機器を保持するように構成され、該ハウジングの第2の部分は、少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットを保持するように構成され、該第1の部分のうちの該ハウジングのそれぞれは、表と裏を有し、かつ、ガスが該設備機器の表から設備機器の中に引き込まれ、該設備機器によって熱せられて熱ガスを生じ、該ハウジングの該裏を介して該電子設備機器によって放出される、複数のハウジングと、
1対のハウジングの間のギャップを埋めるための該1対のハウジングに連結される
少なくとも1つのパネルと
を備え、
該ハウジングおよび該少なくとも1つのパネルは、側面囲いの配列を形成するように配置され、かつ、連結され、側方からホット領域を囲い込み、かつ、頂部の開口を規定し、ガスが該ホット領域から鉛直に抜け出すことを可能とし、
該第1の部分のうちの該ハウジングの裏は、該熱を生じる設備機器が、該ハウジングに装備されたときに、該熱ガスを該ホット領域に放出する
データセンタ。 - 前記少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットであって、前記ホット領域から該少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットの中に熱ガスを引き込み、該熱ガスを冷却し比較的クールなガスを生成し、該少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットから、前記ハウジングで該ホット領域から分離されたクールな領域に該熱ガスを放出するように構成される
該少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のデータセンタ。 - 前記少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットは、前記ハウジングの前記第1の部分の表のほうに前記クールなガスを導くように構成される、請求項2に記載のデータセンタ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットは、前記ハウジングの前記第1の部分の前記表の底の部分のほうに前記クールなガスを導くように構成される、請求項3に記載のデータセンタ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットは、約72°Fに前記ガスを冷却し、約72°Fで該ガスを放出する、請求項2に記載のデータセンタ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットに連結され、かつ、該少なくとも1つの冷却ユニットに非常用電源を提供するように構成される無停電電源をさらに備える、請求項2に記載のデータセンタ。
- 前記少なくとも1つのパネルは、前記ホット領域へのアクセスを提供するために開かれ、熱いガスが前記ギャップを介して該ホット領域から側方に前記データセンタを抜け出さないように閉じられるように構成されるドアである、請求項1に記載のデータセンタ。
- 前記少なくとも1つのパネルは、前記ハウジングの前記第1および第2の部分のうちの最低部分の高さに少なくともほぼ同じである、請求項1に記載のデータセンタ。
- 前記複数のハウジングは、平行な2列に配置され、前記少なくとも1つのパネルは、該列の反対の端に配置され、該それぞれの端で該2つの列を互いに連結する2つのドアを含む、請求項1に記載のデータセンタ。
- 動作中に熱を生じる電子設備機器を含み、かつ、それを冷却するシステムであって、該システムは、
複数のハウジングであって、該ハウジングの第1の部分は、該ハウジングの表を介し、該ハウジングの内部を介し、および、該ハウジングの裏を介して外へガスが通過することを可能とするように構成され、さらに、該ハウジングの該第1の部分は、該設備機器が、該ハウジングの表を介しガスを引き込み、設備機器を介しそれにより該ガスを熱し熱ガスを生じ、かつ、該ハウジングの該裏を介し該熱ガスを放出するような配列で該電子設備機器を含むように構成され、該複数のハウジングは、ホット領域を側方から取り囲む実質的に側面囲いの部分を形成するように配置される複数のハウジングと、
該ホット領域を取り囲む該側面囲いを完成するために少なくとも2つの該ハウジングを側方に連結する封鎖手段であって、該封鎖手段および該複数のハウジングは、該システムが該ホット領域に上部限界を実質的にもたらさないように頂部の開口を提供する封鎖手段と、
該熱ガスを冷却し、比較的クールなガスを生成するために、かつ、該ハウジングの該第1の部分の表に比較的クールなガスを提供するために、該ハウジングの少なくとも1つに配置される冷却手段と
を備えるシステムであって、
該複数のハウジングは、動作する間、該ホット領域に該熱ガスを放出するように配置される、システム。 - 前記冷却手段は、前記ハウジングの前記第1の部分の前記表の底の部分のほうに前記比較的クールなガスを導くように構成される、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記冷却手段は、前記熱ガスを約72°Fに冷却し、前記比較的クールなガスを生成するように構成される、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記封鎖手段は、前記ホット領域へのアクセスを提供するために開かれ、かつ、前記熱ガスが、該封鎖手段が連結される前記ハウジングの間の該ホット領域を側方に抜け出さないように閉じられるように構成される少なくとも1つの断熱ドアを含む、請求項10のシステム。
- 前記ハウジングは、平行な2列に配置され、前記封鎖手段は、該列の反対の端に配置され、かつ、該それぞれの端で該2つの列を互いに連結する2つのドアを含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記冷却手段に連結され、かつ、該冷却手段に非常用電源を提供するように構成される無停電電源をさらに備える、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- ラック装備された電子設備機器を動作し、かつ、冷却する方法であって、該方法は、
該設備機器を含むハウジングの中に該ハウジングの表を介してガスを引き込み、該ガスを熱し熱ガスを生成し、ホット領域に該熱ガスを放出するように、該ラック装備された電子設備機器に電力供給することと、
少なくとも該ハウジングの頂部より上に該ガスが上昇するまでは実質的に妨げられることなく、該熱ガスがホット領域を上方に抜け出せるようにする一方で、該設備機器を含む該ハウジング、および、少なくとも2つの該ハウジングに連結される少なくとも1つのパネルを使用して、該熱ガスが、冷却メカニズムの中へ抜け出す以外は、該ホット領域を側方に抜け出せないようにすることと、
該ホット領域から該冷却メカニズムの中に該熱ガスの少なくとも1部を引き込むこと、および、引き込まれたガスを冷却し、クールなガスを生成することと、
該ハウジングの表に該クールなガスを提供することと
を包含する、方法。 - 前記抜け出せないようにすることは、前記ホット領域の中にさらに熱ガスを吹き込むこと、および、1対の該ハウジングのギャップに連結された少なくとも1つのバリアによって該熱ガスの側方への流れを妨げることを含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記提供することは、前記ハウジングの前記表の底のほうに前記クールなガスを導くことを含む、請求項16記載の方法。
