Abstract
Description
この発明は概して生体内センシング装置に関し、特に、生体内でそれらを不動化することに関する。
温度計、pHメータ、光学スキャナ、画像センサなどの生体内センシング装置は、たとえば身体の器官および生体内部位を邪魔にならないように監視するのに用いることができる。いくつかの生体内センサは体内腔の中を進み、遠隔制御され得るが、生体内部位の連続的な検知、たとえば手術後の監視のために生体内でセンシング装置を不動化することが望ましいこともある。他の生体内センサには、処置機能を果たし得、かつこのような処置を行なうのに不動化され得るものがある。さらに他の生体内センサには、診断を行なうために或る期間にわたって或る区域を監視するよう不動化され得るものがあるが、これには、たとえば、胃食道pHの検出、記録および分析を行なうために不動化され得る生体内pHセンサなどがある。装置を不動化することにより、当該装置が特定の位置で薬物などの化合物を放出するかまたはこのような位置で生検材料を採取するための機会も与えられ得る。
この発明の実施例においては、生体内センシング装置は、たとえばプロセッサまたはコントローラからの信号に応答して作動し得るイモビライザ(immobilizer)または不動化ユニットを含み得る。一実施例に従うと、イモビライザは、ある期間にわたって監視されるべき生体内区域において当該装置を不動化し得る。いくつかの実施例においては、生体内センシング装置は、自律型生体内センシングカプセルであり得るかまたはこれを含み得る。この発明の方法の実施例に従って、生体内装置に含まれるイモビライザを作動させるための信号が生成され、これにより、監視すべき生体内区域において生体内装置が不動化される。不動化された生体内装置は、当該装置に近接した区域から画像または他のセンシングデータを監視または収集し続け得る。

Claims (38)
- イモビライザを含む生体内センシング装置であって、前記イモビライザは信号に応答して作動可能である、生体内センシング装置。
- 前記信号を送出することのできるプロセッサを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサは、体内腔の外部から受取った命令に応答して前記信号を送出する、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記イモビライザは分解可能である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記イモビライザは生体内の状態にさらされると分解可能である、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記信号は検出された環境状態に応じて送出される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記センシング装置は撮像装置を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記イモビライザはアンカを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記アンカは先細のアンカである、請求項8に記載の装置。

- 前記管腔内組織のサンプルを把持具で切除するステップを含む、請求項27に記載の方法。
- 前記生体内部位から前記装置を解放するステップを含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
