Abstract

Description
本発明の一実施形態においては、例えば体内管腔(例:胃腸管)を撮像するための、かつ/又は、体内管腔で試料を採取するためのシステムを提供する。一実施形態によれば、システムは、例えば嚥下により、例えば別々に(例:1個ずつ)体内管腔内へ挿入することができ、かつ、例えば連結ユニットを用いて後に体内管腔内で連結することができる複数の装置を備えることができる。別々に嚥下できる複数の装置は、複数の連結された装置を嚥下する場合に比較して、より容易にシステムを嚥下することができる。
本発明の別の実施形態は、大腸や胃等の体内管腔を撮像するための方法及び/又は体内管腔で試料を採取するための方法を提供する。本発明の一実施形態による方法は、2個以上の生体内装置を(例えば装置を嚥下することにより)患者の管腔内に挿入する工程を含むことができる。本発明の一実施形態において、該方法は、体内管腔の画像を送信するために、かつ/又は、(例えば体内管腔で生検試料を採取するために)試料採取機構を制御するために使用することができる。
(発明の詳細な説明)
本発明の様々な態様について以下説明する。本発明をより完全に理解できるように特定の構成及び詳細について説明しているが、当業者であれば、本発明は本明細書に記載される特定の詳細が無くても実施可能であることが理解されるであろう。さらに、本発明を不明瞭にしないために、公知の特徴については説明を省略又は簡略化している場合がある。
同様に、一方の撮像装置が装置20及び30の後方の領域を写し、もう一方の撮像装置が装置20及び30の前方の領域を写してもよい。
本発明の一実施形態によれば、装置20及び30の一方又は両方は、嚥下可能であるか、あるいはその他の方法で胃腸(GI)管内へ挿入することができ、かつ、例えば自然な蠕動運動により、連続する画像フレームをキャプチャしつつ(例えば1秒あたり2フレームというように、定期的に画像フレームをキャプチャしつつ)GI管を通過することができる。本発明の別の実施形態においては、生体内撮像装置(例えば装置20)は、他の好適な手段を介してGI管内を進行することができ、他の好適な速度にて(例えば速度を変化させて)画像フレームをキャプチャすることができる。キャプチャされた画像フレーム及びその他のデータは、処理及び表示を行うために外部へ送信することができる。本発明の一実施形態によれば、データの処理及び表示には、時間の経過とともに又はGI管内での行程に応じて変化する生体内撮像装置の位置を追跡した追跡データが含まれていてもよい。キャプチャされたデータは、内容診断(content diagnosis) に使用できる画像フレームを自動的に選択するように処理されてもよい。
Claims (7)
- 複数の生体内装置を備え、該装置のうち少なくとも1個が、撮像装置と、外部受信機にデータを送信するための送信機とを備えることと、各生体内装置は磁気的連結によって別の生体内装置に連結される、生体内システム。
- 前記生体内装置のうち少なくとも1個が試料採取機構を備える請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記生体内装置のうち少なくとも1個が、前記生体内装置のうち第2の装置の少なくとも一部を撮像する撮像装置を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記生体内装置のうちの1個が、該生体内装置を別の生体内装置に連結するために連結ユニットを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記連結ユニットがボール・ソケットジョイント連結ユニットである請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記連結ユニットが磁石を備える請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記生体内装置は嚥下可能な自律型カプセルである請求項1に記載のシステム。
