Definitions

  • the invention relates to a profile strip with a mounting device for attaching the profile strip to a component and with a sealing device for sealing a joint between the component and the profile strip provided for connecting a wall layer with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • a generic profile strip for window or door frames which has become known, which has a plastering strip or profile strip with a base section and with web sections for connection to a plaster layer, a frame fastening leg for connection to the frame and a sealing lip for covering and sealing the formed between the frame and base section Shows joint.
  • the frame fastening leg is connected to the base section in particular movably via a convexly curved connection section.
  • a support body is formed as part of the frame mounting leg or it is, for. B. a soft foam strip, which is connected via adhesive layers to the frame mounting leg or the base portion.
  • the support body holds the frame mounting leg in one defined position and thus facilitates the assembly of the profile strip. With relative movements between the profile strip and the frame in the installed state, the support body z. B. detach from the frame mounting leg and allow this an adjustment movement.
  • the sealing lip can adapt to the relative movement by means of elastic deformation and can continue to seal the joint, whereby it continues to cover the connection section and is also intended to perform the sealing function.
  • a plaster connection strip has become known that a seal on a joint between a frame, for. B. a window frame, and an adjacent plaster layer of a wall or wall of a building.
  • the plaster connection strip has a base part which is provided for attachment to the frame and a plaster part which is plastered in the plaster layer.
  • the base part and the plaster part are integrally connected to one another via a material bridge at the transition to a protective tab by coextrusion.
  • the base part and the plaster part are releasably connected to one another by means of a catch spaced apart from the material bridge.
  • a flexible connecting wall is provided between the base part and the plastering part and is made in one piece with these two parts.
  • both the locking can be released and the material bridge can be separated, while the base part and the plastering part move away from one another.
  • the flexible connecting wall bridges and seals the opening gap between the base part and the plastering part.
  • the stability of the plaster connection strip before and during assembly thus results from the double connection between the rigid base part and the rigid plaster part, which can subsequently be removed in the installed state.
  • a compressed foam plastic strip is arranged between the base part and the plastering part, which, after separating the two parts, presses the plastering part against the end of the plaster layer.
  • a soffit connection profile which has a sealing leg, which can be fixed to a component or window frame by means of a sealing tape, and an outer leg parallel to the sealing leg, which is provided for plastering on a plaster layer.
  • the sealing leg and the outer leg are connected to each other via a flexible tab.
  • the tab keeps the gap between the two legs tightly closed while it adapts to the movements.
  • the two legs Before installing the soffit connection profile, the two legs can be z. B. be fixed by means of an adhesive tape. This fixation can be released for relative movements when installed.
  • Such a soffit connection profile is designed to be comparatively complex, and its appearance is inadequate in particular in the case of larger relative movements due to the multilayered and deep or staggered design.
  • a sealing device which has a foam tape as a support body or support device, which on its two opposite outer surfaces in each case via an adhesive layer on both a profile strip and a component, for. B. a window or door frame in a building wall, can be determined. If there is an excessive relative movement between the profile strip and the component, the foam tape, which is formed with properties that are improved compared to the prior art to compensate for such an increased relative movement between the profile strip and the component, can no longer adapt due to a lack of sufficient elasticity and will tear, so that the joint between the profile strip and the component is no longer sealed. Furthermore, the appearance of this sealing device is in need of improvement.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a profile strip of the type mentioned, which ensures a safe and permanent sealing of the joint even with larger relative movements of the two components in the installation position, is simple in construction and also has an appearance which adapts to the joint environment in the installed state and after relative movements of the components.
  • An essential feature of the invention relates to the face-side joint screen, which is formed by the sealing body extending over the joint or by its cover section.
  • a component delimiting the joint is, for example, part of a building or another structure.
  • a component can be, for example, a door frame, window frame, built-in furniture, roller shutter box, stairs, wash basin, shower cubicle, tile, sheet metal strip, board, beam, brickwork, concrete wall, plaster, drywall board or a window sill.
  • a component can also be a profile strip or profile connection strip, such as, for example, the known reveal connection profiles or roof ventilation profiles or plaster end profiles.
  • two profile strips can form the components and come into contact with the building parts on both sides of the expansion joint.
  • Profile strips can be embedded in a building surface, for example, as is common with plaster layers and filler layers.
  • Profiled strips can also be arranged on a building surface, as is common in renovation.
  • Joints between two components are primarily found in construction.
  • a usual joint extends along z.
  • B. a surface of a wall and has a certain depth perpendicular to the surface and a certain width between two components, the width is constant in the case of components arranged in parallel and can have different widths over their depth for non-parallel surfaces of the two components.
  • Joints can, for example, be arranged on vertical parts of the building both vertically and horizontally, the removal of moisture on horizontal joints being mostly more difficult than on vertical joints. All of these joints must usually be permanently sealed in accordance with the known regulations and requirements.
  • the sealing device or the sealing body preferably seals in relation to one or more of the requirements described in the known standards and regulations, for example in relation to the ift guideline MO-01/1 (issued by the test institute ift in Rosenheim, Germany). These include, for example, weather influences from wind, rain, light or temperature (cold and heat).
  • a joint on the inside of the room is more vapor diffusion-tight than a joint on the outside of the room.
  • a joint on the inside of the room is preferably airtight and a joint on the outside of the room is preferably to be made watertight.
  • Interior joints are often sealed against the usual influences during use, such as wetness in damp rooms. Sealing is preferably permanent and not just short-term.
  • the seal is preferably also designed to be sufficiently resilient with regard to the mechanical loads to be expected, for example cleaning work.
  • a design-related and / or weather-related relative movement can occur between the components. Depending on various factors, these relative movements can take place in the three spatial directions and have different values.
  • the relative movement can produce longitudinal movements and / or transverse movements and / or changes in the distance between the two components.
  • the sealing device solves the actual technical challenge, namely permanent sealing of a joint with simultaneous dynamic relative movement.
  • the sealing device or a sealing body of the sealing device has a fastening leg that is provided for attaching the sealing device to a component attached to the building.
  • the fastening leg is the section of the sealing device that creates the tight connection to the component.
  • the fastening leg is connected to the component or a component section in a sealing manner even during relative movements.
  • the support device of the profile strip according to the invention has an elongated shape corresponding to the longitudinal extent of a joint to be sealed.
  • B. in the form of a tape or a strip or just a thin layer and is expediently formed from such materials that allow them to ensure the mutual positioning of the two components in the assembly position.
  • the support device does not necessarily have to be tight in the sense of a seal in every design, since the sealing body takes over the essential sealing.
  • the support device has between its two outer surfaces provided for fastening at least one end face and usually two opposite end faces according to their shape.
  • the sealing body can cover each of the two end faces, which can be flat or also arched, tightly, the front end face on the joint face preferably being covered.
  • the end face is z. B. a flat or curved surface or just a narrow strip or in the form of a line depending on the design of the support device.
  • the profile strip In an assembly position, the profile strip is connected to the component in a stable or positionally stable manner by means of the support device. Until the assembly is completed, a direct connection between the profile strip and the building is then established.
  • the profile strip After completing the assembly, the profile strip is in the installation position. In an initial installation position, the profile strip is opposite the installation position unchanged. At this time there were no relative movements between the profile bar and the component. The sealing device or the support device is unchanged. In a moving installation position, the profile strip with the sealing device is changed compared to the mounting position. At this time, relative movements between the profile bar and the component took place. The support device has been changed by the relative movement and may already have solved the stable positioning.
  • the primary task of the support device is therefore to provide a stable assembly or a stable connection of the components until the assembly is complete.
  • a profile strip according to the invention provides both an assembly and a sealing device in a spatially integrated design.
  • the assembly device establishes a positionally stable connection of the components and serves to initially position the profile strip during assembly, while the sealing device with the sealing device serves to permanently seal the joint.
  • a stable connection is not understood to mean any connection of any two components.
  • one component can be stable, solid and heavy and the other component can be light, such as.
  • a positionally stable connection holds a relatively light component, such as a profile strip, on another relatively light component or also on a relatively heavy component.
  • the profile strip does not provide for a mutually stable connection of two relatively heavy components.
  • the assembly forces are smaller than the internal holding force, adhesive force or adhesive force on the support device. These internal forces are in turn smaller than the external holding force, adhesive force or adhesive force between the support device and the respective component. These external forces are in turn preferably smaller than the tensile or tensile forces that can be absorbed by the sealing body.
  • this delivery and installation force is transmitted via a first external connection device and a second external connection device of the profile strip by the holding force that can be absorbed by the support device, without one of the external connection devices becoming detached or a material of the sealing body tears.
  • the sealing device behaves in a technically advantageous manner with regard to the force flow occurring during relative movements, so that the sealing device of the profile strip provides the desired seal in every sealing position.
  • the sealing body contains two unconnected contact sections or two connected contact sections or one unconnected contact section and one connected contact section, one of the two contact sections running along the profiled strip in the assembly position and the other of the two contact sections running along the component and with relative movements between the sealing body and the profiled strip or the component stands out from the profile strip or the component.
  • An unconnected contact section lies against the associated component without gluing or the like, while a connected contact section is detachably connected or glued to the associated component.
  • the sealing body is folded in particular in a region covered on the visible side.
  • a fastening or adhesive force of the component connecting device holding the fastening leg on the component is greater than the supporting force provided by the supporting device for positioning the fastening leg relative to the profiled strip leg or an internal connecting force of the central supporting device or a separation the support device counteracting internal material force.
  • the sealing body and / or the profile strip and / or the support device is or are preferably formed directly or indirectly integrally and / or are tightly connected.
  • the cover section of the sealing body has such a dimension or such a size or width that, in the installed position, it is subject to relative movements between the sealing body and the profile strip can adjust to the extent necessary without having to stretch. This provides a movement reserve or adaptation reserve.
  • the support device is formed flat or as a flat body and / or it is a foam tape, foam adhesive tape, an adhesive layer or a combination of at least one foam tape or foam adhesive tape and at least one adhesive layer.
  • the transmissible force in particular the adhesive force, can be influenced and adjusted.
  • the sealing body is U-shaped on the visible side, a transition section of the sealing body running parallel to the profile strip or its profile strip limb is glued to the profile strip and the sealing body is connected to the profile at a rear edge of the fastening surface or the profile strip leg.
  • the sealing body is U-shaped on the visible side, a fastening leg of the sealing body running parallel to the profiled strip is glued to the profiled strip and is integrally formed on a rear edge of the fastening surface of the profiled strip, and the sealing body on it has a surface structure with elevations and depressions by means of the support device which can be fixed on the fastening section of the sealing body.
  • a folded section of the sealing body can be arranged covered on the visible side by the profiled strip, and in particular the profiled strip has a recess facing away from the visible side, in which the folded section of the sealing body is received.
  • Fastenings or connections or external connections are made, for example, by adhesive devices. In principle, however, other types of tight fastenings or connections or an integral connection such as vulcanization or welding or clamping are also possible.
  • the sealing device of the profile strip forms a joint panel on its visible side.
  • the main task of the joint panel is the optically improved or flawless presentation of the sealing device.
  • the joint screen is significantly involved in sealing the joint.
  • a joint panel according to the invention provides a perfect visual presentation both in the assembly position and in an installation position. This quality of the optical presentation is produced in that the joint screen avoids a jagged or multilayered or material-different or deep joint design with different relative movements in the different positions of the sealing device.
  • a joint screen according to the invention is partially or entirely formed by a section of the sealing body.
  • the main advantage of the profile strip according to the invention is thus the flexible adaptation of the sealing body to the respective, even large, relative movements or joint movements with a simple, inexpensive and space-saving design and the reliable tightness due to the fixed connection or one-piece production of one edge of the sealing body with one Component or the profile bar.
  • the sealing body is designed and designed according to the size of the relative movements to be expected. At the same time, the portion of the sealing device which is visible in the installed state can advantageously be made narrow.
  • the profile strip according to the invention with the sealing device consists of only one structural unit and is accordingly simple and inexpensive to produce.
  • the sealing device also requires little installation space in the joint.
  • the sealing body can also be formed integrally with the support device, for example by coextrusion.
  • a band-shaped material can, for example, also essentially form in one piece the sealing body with the support device. For this purpose, it can be manufactured or shaped or machined accordingly.
  • sealing body is flexible but not stretchable, its two edges can move apart from one another as the support device expands until it is tensioned.
  • the sealing body can be bulged or U-shaped over the end face of the support device in the delivery state or the mounting position, so that it can compensate for travel according to the size of the curvature. It therefore has in particular a movement reserve due to the possibility of a flexible deformation.
  • An adaptation to a relative movement thus takes place, for example, by bending and / or stretching the sealing body.
  • an adaptation can take place, for example, in the case of expansion or compression or longitudinal shear or transverse shear or a mixed form of these relative movements.
  • the sealing device can have a movement reserve, which is formed in particular by at least a portion of the sealing body, the at least a portion of the sealing body preferably being arranged with its outside in the direction of a component and preferably not having an external connecting device for fixing to a component.
  • this edge section or the portion of the sealing body can form a movement reserve which can be used without great effort by bending the edge portion or the portion of the sealing body.
  • the central section of the sealing body is not stretched or pulled when it is adapted to a large relative movement.
  • the adaptation is carried out by deforming the sealing body, as a result of which only slight forces occur in the sealing body or only slight bending forces are introduced into the sealing device.
  • the portion of the sealing body which has no external connecting device for fixing to a component preferably moves away from the component and thus easily compensates for the relative movement. Only after this movement reserve has been used up, in the case of further relative movements, the central section of the sealing body, as already described, is then also pulled and / or stretched and / or is detached from the assigned component. With this design, the respective transmissible force is determined and the production of the preferred force ratio is supported, whereby the function of the sealing device is favored. Since there is no detachment of the sealing body from the associated component in the case of relative movements within the movement reserve, no proportionate areas of adhesive devices are exposed. Thus, the surface of the edge section does not tend to become dirty, for example due to the accumulation of dust. The appearance or the optical presentation remains perfect. This improves the function of the sealing device.
  • the sealing body or the fastening leg expediently contains a surface structure and / or a coating for influencing the transferable force, in particular the adhesive force.
  • a surface structure and / or a coating for influencing the transferable force determines the power transmission at this point and z. B. be reduced.
  • the same or similar result can be achieved by reducing the surface area in contact with the adhesive.
  • the total adhesive force is determined at this point and z. B. reduced.
  • z. B. also certain areas of the adhesive devices with reduced adhesive force or adhesive force are formed, so that the sealing device or the sealing body can detach from this area, while it remains firmly attached to other areas with higher adhesive force or adhesive force.
  • the surface structure can have elevations or depressions which correspond, for example, to a ribbed or knurled surface.
  • the surface structure has elevations and depressions and the force transmission, in particular the bonding, takes place essentially at the elevations, the adhesive force in this area is reduced.
  • a separation aid for separating the support device is preferably provided.
  • Such a separation aid can support the separation or loosening of the support device or can initiate it in a defined manner.
  • the sealing device is intended to provide a high holding force as assembly hold during processing. After processing, the separating aid is then used to reduce or dissolve the high holding force of the support device. This ensures that the sealing device does not become detached from one of the two components after processing in the event of relative movements, but rather the support device gives up its connecting property without further measures. This ensures or improves the safe functioning of the sealing device.
  • the sealing body is preferably designed in such a way that it does not tear under the loads described and thus provides or maintains the desired seal.
  • the material of the sealing body is chosen according to the requirements with regard to the movements and the sealing properties.
  • the sealing body is made, for example, of soft plastic such as soft PVC, TPE, polyethylene or similar materials.
  • the sealing device 22 contains a band-like sealing body 33 which, by means of a support device 29 of a mounting device for mounting the profile strip 17, holds a fastening leg 31 of the sealing body 33 in a defined position relative to the profile strip leg 19, so that the profile strip 17 on the outside 16 of the component 10 by means of a component connecting device 40, e.g. B. an adhesive layer can be determined.

  • An upper transition section 37 of the sealing body 33 adjoining the cover section 34 runs along the section strip leg 19 of the section connecting strip 17 and is firmly connected at a connection point 38 to the section strip leg 19 and is extruded or coextruded with the section strip 17 in particular during manufacture.
  • the connection point 38 is located, for example, immediately laterally in front of the end face 35 of the foam strip 29, which, for. B. extends over about 2/3 of the length of the profile strip leg 19, starting from the rear plaster leg 21 in the direction of the front plaster leg 20.
  • the sealing body 33 is extruded from a plastic soft material so that it can deform and adapt when the component 10 and the profile strip 17 move relative.
  • An edge strip 39 of the lower fastening leg 31 can preferably be extruded from a calibratable hard plastic material.
