Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Benzol, Toluol, Benzine, Halogenkohlenwasserstoffe, Chlorbenzol, Polychlorbenzole,

Die Ausgangsstoffe der Formel II und IV sind zum Teil bekannte Verbindungen, die z. B. analog der im
Chem. Ber. 56 B, 2276-83 (1923) beschriebenen Methode hergestellt werden können..
Diese Verbindungen 'lassen sich auch durch Reaktion
eines S-Halogen-J-hydroxy-l^-triazoIderivates mit
Metallsalzen von Merkaptanen oder Thiophenolen herstellen.
Schließlich kann ein Teil dieser Verbindungen auch erhalten werden, indem man ein S-Mercapto-S-hydroxy-l,2,4-triazol
mit einem Alkylierungsmittel wie z. B. einen Alkylhalogenid oder einen Dialkylsulfat in
Gegenwart einer Base umsetzt.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I weisen eine breite biozide Wirkung a.r und können zur Bekämpfung von
verschiedenartigen pflanzlichen unr1 tierischen Schädlingen
eingesetzt werden
Insbesondere eignen sie sich zur Bekämpfung von Insekten der Familien: Acrididae, Blauidae, Gryllidae,
Gryllotalpidae. Tettigoniidae, Cimicidae, Pyrrhocoridae, Reduviidae, Aphididae, Delphacidae, Diaspididae,
Pseudococcidae, Chrysomelidae, Coccinellidae, Bruchidae,
Scarabaeidae, Dermestidae, Tenebrionidae, Curculionidae, Tineidae, Noctuidae, Lymantriidae,
Pyralidae, Galleriidae, Culicidae, Tipulidae, Stomoxydae, Muscidae, Calliphoridae, Trypetidae, Puücidae
sowie Akariden der Familien: Ixodidae, Argasidae, Tetranychidae, Dermanyssidae.
Die insektizide oder akarizide Wirkung läßt sich durch Zusatz von anderen Insektiziden und/oder Akariziden
wesentlich verbreitern und an angegebene Umstände anpassen.
Als Zusätze eignen sich z. B. u. a. organische Phosphorverbindungen,
Nitrophenole und ihre Derivate, Harnstoffe, Carbamate, chlorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe,
pyrethrinartige Verbindungen und Amidine.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I weisen neben den oben erwähnten Eigenschaften auch eine Wirksamkeit
gegen Vertretern der Abteilung Thallophyta auf. So zeigen einige dieser Verbindungen bakterizide Wirkung.
Sie sind aber vor allem gegen Fungi, insbesondere gegen die folgenden Klassen, angehörenden phytopathogenen
Pilze wirksam: Oomycetes, Zygomycetes, Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, Denteromycetes. Die
Verbindungen der Formel 1 zeigen ebenfalls eine fungito.xischc
Wirkung bei I'il/cn. die die Pflanzen vom
Boden her angreifen l-'erner eignen sich die neuen
Wirkstoffe auch zur Behandlung von Saatgut. Früchten. Knollen etc. zum Schutz vor Pilzinfektionen. Die Verbindungen
der Formel I eignen sich auch zur Bekämpfung .on pflanzcnpathogenen Nematoden.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I können für sich
allein oder zusammen mit geeigneten Trägern und/oder Zuschlagstoffen eingesetzt werden. Geeignete Träger
und Zuschlagstoffe können fest oder flüssig sein und entsprechen den in der Formulierungstechnik üblichen
Stoffen wie z. B. natürlichen oder regenerierten Stoffen, Lösungs-, Dispergier-, Netz-, Haft-, Verdickungs-, Binde-
und/oder Düngemitteln.
Zur Applikation können die Verbindungen der Formel I zu Stäubemitteln, Emulsionskonzentraten, Granulaten.
Dispersionen, Sprays, zu Lösungen oder Aufschlämmungen in üblicher Formulierung, die in der
Applikationstechnik zum Allgemeinwissen gehört, verarbeitet werden. Ferner sind »cattle dips«, d. h. Viehbäder,
und »spray races«, d. h. Sprühgänge, in denen wässerive Zubereitungen verwendet werden, zu erwähnen.
Die Herstellung erfindungsgemäßer Mittel erfolgt in an sich bekannter Weise durch inniges Vermischen
und/oder Vermählen von Wirkstoffen der Formel I mit den geeigneten Trägerstoffen, gegebenenfalls unter
Zusatz von gegenüber den Wirkstoffen inerten Dispergier- oder Lösungsmitteln Die Wirkstoffe kennen in
den folgenden Aufarbeitungsformen vorliegen und angewendet werden:

Trägerstoffen vermischt. Als Trägerstoffe kommen zum Beispiel Kaolin, Talkum, Bolus, Löss, Kreide, Kalkstein,
Kalkgries, Attapulgit, Dolomit, Diatomeenerde, gefällte Kieselsäure, Erdalkalisilikate, Natrium- und
Kaliumaluminiumsilikate (Feldspäte und Glimmer), Calcium- und Magnesiumsulfate, Magnesiumoxid,
gemahlene Kunststoffe, Düngemittel, wie Ammoniumsulfat, Ammoniumphosphat, Ammoniumnitrat,
Harnstoff, gemahlene pflanzliche Produkte, wie Getreidemehl, Baumrindenmehl, Holzmehl, Nußschalenmehl,
Cellulosepulver, Rückstände von Pflanzenextrakten, Aktivkohle, je für sich oder als Mischungen
untereinander in Frage.
Granulate lassen sich sehr einfach herstellen, indem man einen Wirkstoff der Formel I in einem organischen
Lösungsmittel löst und die so erhaltene Lösung auf ein granuliertes Mineral, z. B. Attapulgit, SiO2, Granicalcium,
Bentonit usw. aufbringt und dann das organische Lösungsmittel wieder verdampft.

werden, daß die Wirkstoffe der Formel I mit polymerisierbaren Verbindungen vermischt werden

Me atnin/Formaldeliyd oder andere), worauf eine
ihom-nde Polymerisation durchgeführt wird, von der
die Aktivsubstanzen unberührt bleiben, und wobei
noch während der Gelbildung die Granulierung vor-
genommen wird. Günstiger ist es, fertige, poröse Polymerengranulate
(HarnstofT/FormaldPbyd, Polyacrylnitril, Polyester und andere) mit bestimmter Oberfläche
und günstigem voraus bestimmbarem Adsorptions-/ Desorptionsverhältnis mit den Wirkstoffen z. B. in
Form ihrer Lösungen (in einem niedrig siedenden Lösungsmittel) zu imprägnieren und das Lösungsmittel
zu entfernen. Derartige Polymerengranulate können in Form von Mikrogranulaten mit Schüttgewichten von
vorzugsweise 300 g/Liter bis 600 g/Liter auch mit Hilfe von Zerstäubern ausgebracht werden. Das Zerstäuben
kann über ausgedehnte Flächen von Nutzpflanzenkultuven
mit Hilfe von Flugzeugen durchgeführt werden.
Granulate sind auch durch Kompaktieren des Trägermaterials mit den Wirk- und Zusatzstoffen und
anschließendem Zerkleinern erhältlich.
Diesen Gemischen können ferner den Wirkstoff stabilisierende Zusätze und/oder nichtionische, anionaktive
und kationaktive Stoffe zugegeben werden, die beispielsweise die Haftfestigkeit der Wirkstoffe auf Pflanzen
und Pflanzenteilen verbessern (Haft- und Klebemittel) und/oder eine bessere Benetzbarkeit (Netzmittel)
sowie Dispergierbarkeit (Dispergator-'n) gewährleisten.
Beispielsweise kommen folgende Stoffe in Frage: Olein/Kalk-Mischung, Cellulosederivate (Methylcellulose,
Carboxymethylcellulose), Hydroxyäthylenglykoläther von Mono- und Dialkylphenolen mit 5-15 Äthylenoxidresten
pro Molekül und 8-9 Kohlenstoffatomen im Alkylrest, Ligninsulfonsäure, deren Alkali- und
Erdalkalisalze, Polyäthylenglykoläther (Carbowachs), Fettalkoholpolyglykoläther mit 5-20 Äthylenoxidresten
pro Molekül und 8-18 Kohlenstoffatomen im F;ttalkoholteil, Kondensationsprodukte von Äthylenoxid,
Propylenoxid, Polyvinylpyrrolidone, Polyvinylalkohole, Kondensationsprodukte von Harnstoff/Formaldehyd
sowie Latex-Produkte.
In Wasser dispergierbare Wirkstoffkonzentrate, d. h.
Spritzpulver (wettable powders) Pasten und Emulsionskonzentrate stellen Mittel dar, die mit Wasser auf jede
gewünijhte Konzentration verdünnt werden können. Sie bestehen aus Wirkstoff, Trägerstoff, gegebenenfalls
den Wirkstoff stabilisierenden Zusätzen, oberflächenaktiven Substanzen und Antischaummitteln und gegebenenfalls
Lösungsmitteln.
Die Spritzpulver (wettable powders) und Pasten werden ei halten, indem man die W.rkstoffe mit Dispergiermitteln
und pulverförmigen Trägerstoffen ingeeigneten Vorrichtungen bis zur Homogenität vermischt und vermahlt.
Als Trägerstoffe kommen beispielsweise die vorstehend für die feskn Aufarbeitungsformen erwähnten
in Frage. In manchen Fällen ist es vorteilhaft, Mischungen »erschiedener Trägerstoffe zu verwenden. Als
Dispergatoren können beispielsweise verwendet werden: Kondensationsprodukte von sulfonierten! Naphthalin
und sulfonierten Naphthalinderivaten mit Formaldehyd, Kondensationsprodukte des Naphthalins bzw.
der Naphthalinsulfonsäuren mit Phenol und Formaldehyd sowie Alkali-, Ammonium- und Erdalkalisalze von
Ligninsulfonsäure, weiter Alkylarylsulfonate, Alkali- und Erdalkalimetallsalze der Dibutylnaphthalinsulfonsiiure.
Fcttalkoholsulfate, wie Salze sulfatierter Hexadecanolc,
Heptadecanole, Octadecanole und Salze von sulfatierten FcUalkoholglykoläthern, das Natriumsalz
von Oleylmethyltaurid. clitcrtiäre Äthylenglykole, Dial- bry
kyldilaurylanimoniumchlorid und lettsaure Alkali- und
Krdalkalisalzc.
Als Antiscruuir1! nittel kommen zum Beispiel Siliconöle
in Frage,
Die Wirkstoffe werden mit den oben aufgeführten Zusätzen so vermischt, vermählen, gesiebt und passiert,
daß bei den Spritzpulvern der feste Anteil eine Korngröße von 0,02 bis 0,04 und bei den Pasten von 0,03 mm
nicht überschreitet. Zur Herstellung von Emulsionskonzentraten und Pasten werden Dispergiermittel, wie
sie in den vorangehenden Abschnitten aufgeführt wurden, organische Lösungsmittel und Wasser verwendet.
Als Lösungsmittel kommen beispielsweise Alkohole, Benzol, Xylole, Toluol, Dimethylsulfoxid und im
Bereich .von 120 bis 3500C siedende Mineralölfraktionen
in Frage. Die Lösungsmittel müssen praktisch geruchlos, nicht phytotoxisch und den Wirkstoffen
gegenüber inert sein.
Ferner können die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel in Form von Lösungen angewendet werden. Hierzu wird
der Wirkstoff bzw. werden mehrere Wirkstoffe der allgemeinen Formel I in geeigneten organischen Lösungsmitteln,
Lösungsmittelgemischen oder Wasser gelöst Als oiganische Lösungsmittel können aliphatische uad
aromatische Kohlenwasserstoff ...deren Chlorierte Derivate, AJkyinaphthaline, Mineralöl·: allein oder als
Mischung untereinander verwendet werden.
Der Gehalt an Wirkstoff in den oben beschriebenen Mitteln liegt zwischen 0,1 bis 95%, dabei ist zu erwähnen,
daß bei der Applikation aus dem Flugzeug oder mittels anderer geeigneter Applikationsgeräte Konzentrationen
bis zu 99,5% oder sogar reiner Wirkstoffeingesetzt werden können.
Die Wirkstoffe der Formel I können beispielsweise wie folgt formuliert werden:

anschließend das Aceton im Vakuum verdampft.

In 200 ml 5 N wässerige Natronlauge werden unter Rühren bei minus 5CC 19.6 g Methylmercaptan eingeleitet.
33 g l-Isopropyl-S-chlor-S-hydroxy-l^^triazoI
werden darauf zugegeben und das Gemisch während zwei Stunden auf 1000C erhitzt. Nach dem Abkühlen
auf 200C wird die Lösung durch Zugabe von Kaliumhydrogensulfat
angesäuert und mit Essigester extrahiert Der Essigesterextrakt wird über wasserfreiem Magnesiumsulfat
getrocknet, im Wasserstrahlvakuum eingeengt und der Rückstand aus wenig Methanol bei
minus 700C kristallisiert Man erhält l-lsnpropyl-5-melhylmcrcapto-3-hy(lroxy-1.2.4-tri;uol
mit einem ■-, Schmelzpunkt von 90-920C.
Dieselbe Verbindung kann auch auf folgendem Weg hergestellt worden: Eine Mischung von 15,9 g 1-Isopropyl-5-niercapto-3-hydroxy-1.2.4-triazol
11.1 g Triäthylamin und 15,6 g Methyljodid in 1 OC) ml Methanol wird
in 4 Stunden auf 40°C gehalten. Man dampft das Reaktionsgemisch
im Wasserstrahlvakuum zur Trockene ein, nimmt den Rn Vstand in 100 ml Wasser auf und
extrahiert zweimal mit je 200 ml Fssigester. Die organische
Phase wird abgetrennt und eingedampft, F>

Schmelzpunkt 22O°C werden in 50 ml Aceton, 50 ml Wasser und 10 ml Methyljodid vorgelegt. Innert
15 Minuten gibt man portinnenweise 21 g Soda zu.
:5 Nach beendeter Zugabe wird noch 1 Stunde bei 300C
gerührt. Man dampft das Aceton ab und säuert mit verdünnter Salzsäure an. Das aufgefallene Produkt wird
abfiltrier' :nd aus 250 ml Äthanol umkristallisiert. Man erhält l-Phenyl-S-methylmercaptoO-hydroxy-l^-
triazol in Form weißer Kristalle mit einem Schmelzpunkt von 176-177°C.
c) l-Phenyl-5-methylsulfinyl-3-hydroxy-l,2,4-triazol
η 41,4 g l-Phenyl^-methylmercapto^-hydroxy-l^-
triazol werden bei 500C in 400 ml Essigsäure-äthylester
suspendiert. Innert 15 Minuten werden 60 ml einer 6O°oigen Lösung von Peressigsäure in Eisessig bei 45-500C
zugetropft. Nach beendeter Zugabe wird 2 Stunden bei 500C gerührt und dann auf 200C abgekühlt. Das
ausgefallene Produkt wird abfiltriert, mit Wasser gewaschen und im Vakuum getrocknet. Man erhält 1-Pheny|-
5-methylsulfinyI-3-hydroxy-1.2.4-triazol in Form weißer Kristalle mit einem Schmelzpunkt von 18O-182°C.
d) l-Phenyl-5-methylsulfonyl-3-hydroxy-l,2.4-triazol
16.5 g l-Phenyl-S-methylmercapto-S-hydroxy-l^^-
triazol werden bei 800C in 200 ml Essigsäure-äthylester
aufgeschlämmt. 30 ml einer Lösung von 60%iger Peressigsäure in Eisessig werden portionenweise zugfieben.
Die nach einiger Zeit klargewordene Lösung wird 4 Stunden zum Rückfluß erhitzt. Nach dem Abkühlen
auf 1O0C werden die ausgefallenen Kristalle abfiltriert,
mit Wasser gewaschen und getrocknet Es resultiert l-Phenyl-5-methylsulfonyl-3-hydroxy-l,2,4-triazol in
Form weißer Kristalle mit einem Schmelzpunkt von 173-175°C.
e) 1 -Isopropy 1-5-phenyl-mercapto-3-hydroxy-1.2.4-triazol
22 g Thiophenol, 16 g Natriumhydroxyd und 32,3 g l-Isopropyl-S-chlor-S-hydroxy-l^^triazoI in 40 ml
Wasser werden drei Stunden zum Rückfluß erhitzt Die Lösung wird darauf auf 200C abgekühlt und mit Salzsäure
auf pH 5 angesäuert Das ausgeschiedene Öl wird in Essigsäure-äthylester aufgenommen. Nach dem
Abdampfen des Lösungsmittels wird der Rückstand aus
Acetonitril umkristallisiert. Es werden l-Isopropyl-5-phenylmercapto-.Vhydroxy-l^^-triazol
in Form farbloser Kristalle mit einem Schmelzpunkt von 124-126°C erhalten.

Salze werden über Hyflo* abfiltriert und das klare Filtrat im Vakuum vom Lösungsmittel befreit, wobei als

A) Insektizide Fraßgift-Wirkung
Tabak- und Kartoffelstauden wurden mit einer 0,05%igen wäßrigen Wirkstoffemulsion (erhalten aus
einem 10%igen emulgierbaren Konzentrat) besprüht.
Nach dem Antrocknen des Belages wurden die Tabakpflanzen mit Eulenraupen (Spodoptera litoralis)
und die Kartoffelstauden mit Kartoffelkäfer-Larven (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) besetzt. Der Versuch wird
bei 24°C und 60% relativer Luftfeuchtigkeit durchgerührt.
Die Verbindungen gemäß Beispiel 2 zeigen im obigen Test Fraßgift-Wirkung gegen Spodoptera litoralis und
Leptinotarsa decemlineata.
B) Systemisch-insektizide Wirkung
Zur Feststellung der systemischen Wirkung wurden bewurzelte Bohnenpflanzen (Vicia faba) in eine
0.01%ige wäßrige Wirkstofflösung (erhalten aus einem 10%igen emulgierbaren Konzentrat) eingestellt Nach
24 Stunden wurden auf die oberirdischen Pflanzenteile Blattläuse (Aphis fabae) gesetzt Durch eine spezielle
Einrichtung waren die Tiere vor der Kontakt- und Gaswirkung geschützt Der Versuch wurde bei 24°C und
70% relativer Luftfeuchtigkeit durchgeführt
In den obigen Versuchen zeigten die Verbindungen gemäß Beispiel 2 insektizide Fraßgift-Wirkung und
systemisch-insektizide Wirkung.

-verpflanzt und zu einer Höhe von ca. 60 cm aufgezogen. Die Infestation mit Chilo suppressalis-Larven
(L1; 3-4 mm lang) erfolgte 2 Tage nach der Wirkstoffzugabe
in Granulatform (Aufwandmenge 8 kg Aktivsubstanz pro Hektare) in das Paddy-Wasser. Die Auswertung
auf insektizide Wirkung erfolgte 10 Tage nach der Zugabe des Granulates.
Die Verbindungen gemäß Beispiel 2 wirkten im obigen Test gegen Chilo suppressalis.

Sterilisierte Komposterde wurde homogen mit einem Spritzpulver enthaltend 25% Wirkstoff gemischt, so daß
eine Aufwandmenge von 8 kg Aktivsubstanz pro Hektare resultierte.
Mit der behandelten Erde wurden junge Zucchettipflanzen
(Cucumis pepo) in Plastiktöpfe eingetopft
(drei Pflanzen pro Topf mit einem Durchmesser von 7 cm). Jeder Topf wurde unmittelbar nachher mit
5 Aulacophora femoralis Larven resp. Pachmoda- oder Chortophila-Larven infesliert. Die Kontrolle wurde 4,8,
(_ hortophila Larven infestiert. Die Kontrolle wurde 4,8,
16 und 32 Tage nach Einsetzen der Larven durchgeführt.
Bei 80-100% ''btötung nach der ersten Kontrolle
erfolgte eine neue Infestation mit je 5 Larven in das gleiche Erdmuster mit 3 neuen Zucchettipflanzen.
Wenn die Wirkung geringer als 800O war, verblieben die
restlichen Tiere in der Testerde bis zur nächstfolgenden Kontrolle. Bewirkte eine Substanz bei einer Aufwendmenge
von 8 kg/ha 100% Abtötung, dann erfolgte eine Nachprüfung mit 4 resp. 2 kg Aktivsubstanz/ha.\
Die Verbindungen gemäß Beispiel 2 zeigten im obigen Test Wirkung gegen Aulacophora femoralis-, Pachmoda-
und Chlortophila-Larven.
Beispiel 6

Je 5 adulte Zecken oder 50 Zeckenlarven wurden in ein Glasröhrchen gezählt und für 1 bis 2 Minuten in
2 ml einer wäßrigen Emulsion aus einer Verdünnungsreihe mit je 100, 10, 1 und 0,1 ppm Testsubstanz
getaucht. Das Röhrchen wurde dann mit einem genormten Wattebausch verschlossen und auf den Kopf
gestellt, damit die Wirkstoffemulsion von der Watte aufgenommen werden konnte.
Die Auswertung erfolgte bei den Adulten nach 2 Wochen und bei den Larven nach 2 Tagen. Für jeden
Versuch liefen 2 Wiederholungen.
Die Verbindungen gemäß Beispiel 2 wirken im obigen Test gegen Adulte und Larven von Rhipicephalus
bursa.
B) Boophilus microplus (Larven)
Mit einer analogen Verdünnungsreihe wie beim Test A wurden mit je 20 sensiblen resp. OP-resistenten
Larven Versuche durchgeführt. (Die Resistenz bezieht sich auf die VerträHichkeit von Diazinon.)
Die Verbindungen gemäß Beispiel 2 wirkten in diesen Tests gegen Adulte und Larven von Rhipicephalus
bursa und sensible resp. OP-resistcntc Larven von Boophilus microplus.

Akarizide Wirkung
Akarizide Wirkung
Phaseolus vulgaris (Buschbohnen) wurden 12 Stunden vordem Test auf akarizide Wirkung mit einem infcstierten
Blattstück aus einer Massenzucht von Tetranychus urticae belegt. Die übergelaufenen beweglichen
Stadien wurden aus einem Chromatographiezerstäuber mit den emulgierten Testpräparaten bestäubt, daß kein
Ablaufen derSpritzbrühe eintrat. Nach zwei bis 7 Tagen wurden Larven, Adulte und Eier unter dem Binokular
auf lebende und tote Individuen ausgewertet und das Ergebnis in Prozenten ausgedrückt. Während der »tuiitezeit«
standen die behandelten Pflanzen in C ewächshauskabinen bei 25°C.
Die Verbindungen gemäß Beispiel 2 wirkten im obigen Test gegen Adulte. Larven und Eier von Tetranychus
urticae.

Wirkung gegen Bodennematoden
Zur Prüfung der Wirkung gegen Bodennematoden wurden die Wirkstoffe in der jeweils angegebenen Konzentration
in durch Wurzelzellen-Nematoden (Meloidogync arenaria) infizierte Erde gegeben und innig vermischt.
In die so vorbereitete Erde wurden in einer Versuchsreihe unmittelbar danach Tomatensetzlinge
gepflanzt und in einer anderen Versuchsreihe nach 8 Tagen Wartezeit Tomaten eingesät.
Zur Beurteilung der nematoziden Wirkung wurden 28 Tage nach den Pflanzen bzw. nach der Saat die an
den Wurzeln vorhandenen Gallen ausgezählt.
In diesem Test zeigten die Wirkstoffe gemäß Beispiel 2 eine gute Wirkung gegen Meloidogyr ε arenaria.
