背景技术
本公开涉及转向管柱组件,并且更具体地涉及具有相互依赖的倾斜和伸缩位置的组件。
已知的是用于汽车转向管柱组件包括允许操作者选择性将转向管柱定位并固定在多个位置中的任一位置的各种调整装置。该调整装置可以包括促进转向管柱俯仰的倾斜装置和促进管柱长度的伸缩装置,所述管柱长度通常指示方向盘定位成与操作者有多接近(即,伸展位置)和/或与汽车仪表组有多接近(即,收缩位置)。不幸地,收缩位置的程度可能会受到倾斜位置的全范围的限制,以防止方向盘在调整期间接触与周围部件。
因此,期望提供一种机构,其限制倾斜位置的范围,这种限定依赖行特定的伸缩位置。
发明内容
在本公开的一个示例性和非限制性实施例中,转向管柱组件包括支撑结构、第一护套、第二护套和构件。支撑结构包括基本上相对的第一和第二表面。第一护套围绕枢转轴线枢转地接合至支撑结构。第二护套被构造为沿着伸缩轴线相对第一护套伸缩地滑动。构件接合至第二护套并且相对于伸缩轴线从第二护套径向向外伸出。第一和第二表面相对于伸缩轴线基本轴向延伸,并且被构造用于与构件选择性接触,以限制随第二护套的伸缩位置而变的第一护套的枢转范围。

现在参考图,其中本发明将参考具体实施例来描述,而不限制本发明,本公开的转向管柱组件20能够以伸缩和俯仰方式(即,倾斜)选择性调整。组件20被构造为使得全范围的角度倾斜运动取决于特定的伸缩位置。
参考图1至5,转向管柱组件20可以包括安装用于旋转的转向轴22、第一和第二管柱护套24、26以及支撑结构28。支撑结构28可以是可以刚性连接到仪表板结构和/或可以整体形成到仪表板结构或者车辆底盘的其它结构的倾斜支架。第一管柱护套24可以是前部的管柱护套(即,向前并远离车辆驾驶员),并且可以包括枢转地接合到支撑结构28的前部的端部。第二管柱护套26可以是后部的管柱护套(至少部分地在第一管柱护套24的后部和车辆驾驶员的前部),并且可伸缩地连接至第一管柱护套24,从而在向后方向上伸出(见箭头29)。转向轴22可沿着并穿过第一和第二管柱护套24、26延伸,并且可以包括在远端处的用于接合到手动方向盘(未示出)的多个花键34。

转向管柱组件20进一步可包括构件36,构件36可被刚性地接合到第二管柱护套26,并且其可以相对伸缩轴线30并沿着中心线38从护套26基本径向向外伸出。中心线38可以基本上平行于枢转轴线32和基本上垂直于伸缩轴线30。构件36可伸出穿过第一管柱护套24中的狭槽40,狭槽40相对于伸缩轴线30基本上轴向延伸。构件36可包括任何种类形状,并且可以是可以是基本上圆柱形的销。
参照图6和7,狭槽40可具有轴向长度(见箭头42),其大约等于或大于第二管柱护套26相对于第一管柱护套24的最大伸缩行程。狭槽40通常可由第一管柱护套24承载的边缘44限定。边缘44可以是连续的,并且可包括前部止动部46和后部止动部48,前部止动部46和后部止动部48定向成限制第二管柱护套26沿着伸缩轴线30的伸缩行程。
在操作中以及当组件20处于完全伸展位置(即,伸缩地)时,构件36可以与后部止动部48接触,并且当组件20处于完全收缩位置时,构件36可以与前部止动部46接触。进一步预想和理解的是,组件20可以包括可以不由边缘44承载的可选伸缩指示部和/或止动部。例如,伸缩止动部可以承载在护套24和26之间其他位置处,并且与作为指示特征的一部分的构件36无关。进一步理解的是,狭槽40可以是任何间隙或者开口,当护套24、26在伸展和收缩位置之间移动时,其允许构件36相对于伸缩轴线30在轴向方向上的移动。
转向管柱组件20还可以包括倾斜限制器49,倾斜限制器49可以包括构件36和支撑结构28中用于接收构件36的成形腔50。构件36延伸穿过第一管柱护套24中的狭槽40并进入倾斜限制器49的成形腔50。腔50大致成形为沿轴线30限制随伸缩位置而变的倾斜行程。成形腔50包括至少部分地由支撑结构28承载的相对的第一和第二表面52、54(参见图7)限定的边界。表面52、54可以基本上彼此相对,其中第一表面52基本向下朝向并且第二表面54基本向上朝向。在倾斜限制器49操作中,当转向轴22(与管柱护套24、26一起)枢转地升高到最大上部倾斜位置(即,如图7所示)时,构件36可以接触第一表面52。类似地,当转向轴22被降低到最大下部倾斜位置(未示出)时,构件36可以接触第二表面54。
成形腔50还可以包括前部56和后部58。前部56可以包括由相应的第一和第二表面52、54的相对的第一区段60、62限定的边界。第一区段60、62可彼此间隔一定距离(见箭头64),其通常指示行程的最小角度倾斜范围,其可以是约零的倾斜行程。即,距离64可以是大约等于或稍大于在前部56中的构件36的宽度(见箭头65)。
成形腔50的后部58可以包括由相应的第一和第二表面52、54的相对的第二区段66、68限定的边界。第二区段66、68通常可以会聚在彼此上,当它们在向前方向70上延伸以汇合相应的第一区段60、62时。在组件20操作中,且当管柱护套24、26大约完全伸缩地伸展时,第二区段66、68之间的距离(见箭头72)可以处于指定最大角度倾斜的俯仰范围的最大的距离。
成形腔50可以还被前表面74和后表面76限定,前表面74基本面向后并连接第一区段60、62的前端,后表面76基本面向前并连接第二区段66、68的后端。前表面74和后表面76通常可以是构造成接触构件36的止动部,而不是先前描述的止动部46、48。
在操作中,车辆的操作者可以选择转向管柱组件20的完全伸展位置。当第二管柱护套26沿伸缩轴线30从收缩状态并朝向完全伸展状态向后移动时,构件36移动离开前部止动部46并朝向后部止动部48移动。当第二管柱护套26没有大致处于完全收缩状态时,组件20可以在向上和/或向下的枢转方向上俯仰或倾斜并直到构件接触相应的第二区段66、68。
当转向管柱组件20也可以被放置在完全收缩位置中时。在该位置时,成形腔50(即,由表面52、54限定)可以形成轮廓(例如,表面52、54可以会聚),以使得防止方向盘(未示出)或其它可移动部件接触周围的固定部件(例如,仪表组的前缘翼缝)。为了防止这种接触,,倾斜俯仰范围可小于当转向管柱组件20处于完全伸展位置时的俯仰范围。进一步预期和理解的是,当组件20处于或接近完全收缩位置时,倾斜俯仰范围可以是大致接近于零(即,没有俯仰调节能力),因此倾斜可以是标称位置。

Claims (15)
1.一种转向管柱组件,包括:
支撑结构,其包括基本上彼此相对的第一表面和第二表面;
第一护套,其围绕枢转轴线枢转地接合至支撑结构;
第二护套,其被构造为相对第一护套沿着伸缩轴线伸缩地滑动;以及
构件,其接合至第二护套并且相对于伸缩轴线从第二护套径向向外伸出,并且其中第一表面和第二表面基本相对于伸缩轴线轴向延伸并且被构造用于与构件选择性接触,以限制随第二护套的伸缩位置而变的第一护套的枢转范围。
2.根据权利要求1所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述构件是沿中心线延伸的销,所述中心线基本上垂直于伸缩轴线。
3.根据权利要求2所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述枢转轴线基本上垂直于伸缩轴线。
4.根据权利要求3所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述中心线基本上平行于枢转轴线。
5.根据权利要求1所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述构件接合至第二护套并延伸穿过第一护套中的开口。
6.根据权利要求5所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述开口相对于伸缩轴线轴向地延长,并且部分地由第一护套的前部止动部和后部止动部限定,前部止动部和后部止动部用于与构件接触从而限制伸缩范围。
7.根据权利要求1所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述第一表面和所述第二表面沿伸缩轴线在伸缩方向上朝向彼此会聚。
8.根据权利要求6所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述第一表面和所述第二表面沿伸缩轴线在伸缩方向上朝向彼此会聚。
9.根据权利要求8所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述构件沿基本平行于枢转轴线并垂直于伸缩轴线的中心线延伸。
10.根据权利要求9所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述第一表面和所述第二表面至少部分地限定在结构上用于接收构件的腔。
11.根据权利要求10所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述腔具有前部,所述前部基本上由相应的第一表面和第二表面的与伸缩轴线基本平行延伸的相对的第一区段限定。
12.根据权利要求11所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述腔具有设置在前部的后面的第二部,并且第二部由相应的第一表面和第二表面的相对的第二区段限定,在第二区段朝向相应的第一区段延伸时第二区段朝向彼此会聚。
13.一种转向管柱组件,包括:
外部管柱护套;
内部管柱护套,其被构造为相对于外部管柱护套沿伸缩轴线伸缩地滑动;
销,其接合至内部护套和外部护套中一个并从其径向向外伸出;以及
支架,其枢转地接合至内部护套和外部护套中的另一个,支架包括第一表面和第二表面,第一表面和第二表面基本上轴向地延伸并且大致彼此相对以用于与销选择性接触,从而限制随伸缩位置而变的外部护套的倾斜俯仰范围。
14.根据权利要求13所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述销接合至内部护套,并延伸穿过外部护套中的轴向延伸的狭槽,且外部护套枢转地接合至支架。
15.根据权利要求14所述的转向管柱组件,其中所述狭槽部分地由用于与销接触并构造为限制伸缩范围的前部止动部和后部止动部限定。
