Abstract
第1量子点保护膜具备含有二氧化硅蒸镀层的第1阻隔膜和第1扩散层。二氧化硅蒸镀层的氧与硅的O/Si比以原子比计为1.7以上且2.0以下,二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率为1.5以上且1.7以下,在波长450nm、波长540nm及波长620nm的所有波长下的第1量子点保护膜的反射率为10%以上且20%以下,并且透射率为80%以上且95%以下。

技术领域
本发明涉及量子点保护膜、使用了该量子点保护膜的量子点膜及背光单元。
背景技术
液晶显示器是利用电压的施加来控制液晶的取向状态、通过在每个区域对光进行透过或阻断来对图像等进行显示的显示装置。作为该液晶显示器的光源,利用设置在液晶显示器的背面上的背光。背光以往使用冷阴极管,但最近从寿命长、发色良好等理由出发,开始使用LED(发光二极管)来代替冷阴极管。
于是,近年来使用了量子点的纳米尺寸的荧光体已经产品化。量子点是具有发光性的半导体纳米粒子,半导体纳米粒子的直径范围为1~20nm左右。量子点由于显示范围宽的激发光谱、而且具有高量子效率,因此可作为LED波长转换用荧光体使用。进而具有通过仅改变量子点的点尺寸或者半导体材料的种类即可在可见光整个区域内完全地调整量子点的发光波长的优点。因此,可以说量子点事实上隐藏着可制作出所有颜色、特别是在照明领域强烈期待的暖白色的可能性。而且,通过将对应于红、绿、蓝的发光波长的3种量子点组合,能够获得显色指数不同的白色光。如此,在使用了利用量子点的背光的液晶显示器中,可在与以往相比不会增加厚度或耗电量、成本、制造工艺的情况下使色调提高,可以表现出人能够识别的多种颜色。
使用了白色LED的背光具有如下构成:使具有规定发光光谱的荧光体(量子点等)在膜内扩散,将其表面用阻隔膜密封,根据情况边缘部也进行密封,将如此得到的波长转换片材与LED光源及导光板相组合。阻隔膜是在塑料膜等基材的表面上利用蒸镀等形成薄膜以防止水分或气体的透过的膜。对阻隔膜除了要求阻隔性之外,还要求抑制伤痕、皱褶等外观不良和透明性等。例如专利文献1中提出了为了抑制荧光体的劣化而具有用阻隔膜夹持荧光体的结构的背光。

发明内容
发明要解决的技术问题
以往的阻隔膜是作为食品或医疗用品等的包装材料或电子设备等的外包装材料进行使用的膜。因此,当制作利用以往的阻隔膜将量子点层密封的显示器时,由于阻隔膜的阻隔性不足,因而有由于水蒸汽侵入到量子点层内等而使得难以维持量子点层的特性的情况。因此,在含有该量子点层的背光单元中,无法维持高的亮度,而且当将背光单元应用于显示器时,在显示器中有时会发生因颜色不均等导致的色调变化及黑点等颜色重现不良,使得外观较差。
本发明的目的在于提供阻隔性优异、构成背光时可长期地获得高亮度、进而构成显示器时可长期地获得优异外观的量子点保护膜、及包含该量子点保护膜的量子点膜。进而,本发明的目的在于提供可获得高亮度和显示器应用时的优异外观的背光单元。
用于解决技术问题的方法
本发明一个方式的量子点保护膜是具备含有二氧化硅蒸镀层的阻隔膜和扩散层的量子点保护膜,其中,二氧化硅蒸镀层所含的氧与硅的O/Si比以原子比计为1.7以上且2.0以下,二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率为1.5以上且1.7以下,在波长450nm、波长540nm及波长620nm的所有波长下、量子点保护膜的反射率为10%以上且20%以下、并且透射率为80%以上且95%以下。
根据该量子点保护膜,由于O/Si比以原子比计为1.7以上,因此可将二氧化硅蒸镀层内的Si-Si键的比例抑制得较低,有色的金属减少,二氧化硅蒸镀层的透射率提高。另外,由于O/Si比以原子比计为2.0以下,因此蒸镀膜的成长变密,二氧化硅蒸镀层的阻隔性优异。该量子点保护膜可以减少水蒸汽等的侵入。因而,当制作含有具有该量子点保护膜的量子点膜的背光单元时,该背光单元长期地维持高的亮度,还会抑制显示器应用时的颜色不均及黑点等的发生,维持优异的外观。另外,二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率为1.5以上且1.7以下、量子点保护膜的反射率为10%以上且20%以下、并且透射率为80%以上且95%以下。因此,该量子点保护膜会降低膜内的光学干涉,并提高背光单元的亮度。
上述的量子点保护膜中优选:阻隔膜具有在聚酯膜的至少单面上依次层叠有密合层、二氧化硅蒸镀层及复合被膜层的结构,复合被膜层是含有选自水溶性高分子、金属烷氧化物、金属烷氧化物的水解物及硅烷偶联剂中的至少1种的层。根据该量子点保护膜,由于进一步设置具有阻隔性的复合被膜层,因此水蒸汽阻隔性等有效地被优化。
上述量子点保护膜中,优选聚酯膜是由重均分子量为6万以上的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯构成的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜。根据该量子点保护膜,由于聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜(PET膜)的末端羧基浓度降低,因此反应点减少,PET膜的耐水解性能提高。因而,可维持PET膜的高阻隔性。
上述量子点保护膜中,优选阻隔膜具有将二氧化硅蒸镀层和复合被膜层交替地各层叠2层以上的结构。根据该量子点保护膜,由于二氧化硅蒸镀层和复合被膜层交替地各层叠2层以上,因此阻气性进一步提高,可以最大限度地发挥使用了量子点的荧光体的性能,结果可获得高效率且高精细、长寿命的显示器。
上述量子点保护膜中,优选具备2个以上的阻隔膜。根据该量子点保护膜,由于设置多个阻隔膜,因此阻隔性进一步提高。
本发明一个方式的量子点膜优选具备含有荧光体的量子点层和上述的量子点保护膜。根据该量子点膜,利用含有荧光体的量子点层,可提供宽范围的激发光谱和高量子效率。该量子点膜由于具有带有优异阻隔性的量子点保护膜,因此可以长期地维持高量子效率等良好的光学特性。
上述量子点膜中,优选扩散层、阻隔膜、量子点层、阻隔膜及扩散层依次层叠。根据该背光,由于在量子点层的两侧设置扩散层及阻隔膜,因此可充分地密封量子点层,并且,利用两侧的扩散层,可在两个方向上确保光的扩散性。
上述背光单元中,优选具备LED光源、导光板以及设置在导光板上的上述量子点膜。根据该背光单元,可长期地获得高亮度和显示器应用时的优异外观。
发明效果
根据本发明,可提供阻隔性优异、构成背光时可长期地获得高亮度、进而构成显示器时可长期地获得优异外观的量子点保护膜、及含有该量子点保护膜的量子点膜。进而,根据本发明,可提供能获得高亮度和显示器应用时的优异外观的背光单元。

以下一边参照附图一边详细地说明本发明的优选实施方式。另外,附图中相同或相当的部分带有相同符号,并省略重复的说明。另外,上下左右等位置关系只要无特别限定,则是基于附图所示的位置关系。进而,附图的尺寸比率并非限定于附图的比率。
(量子点保护膜)
图1是本发明实施方式的第1量子点保护膜的示意截面图。第1量子点保护膜(量子点保护膜)1具备第1阻隔膜(阻隔膜)10、第1扩散膜20及粘接剂层30。粘接剂层30位于第1阻隔膜10与第1扩散膜20之间,介由粘接剂层30将第1阻隔膜10和第1扩散膜20贴合。
第1阻隔膜10具备含有第1聚酯膜11的基材、第1密合层(密合层)12、第1二氧化硅蒸镀层(二氧化硅蒸镀层)13、第1复合被膜层(复合被膜层)14、第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15及第2复合被膜层16。在含有第1聚酯膜11的基材上依次设置第1密合层12、第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13、第1复合被膜层14、第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15及第2复合被膜层16。第2复合被膜层16与粘接剂层30粘接。
第1扩散膜20具备含有第2聚酯膜21的基材和第1扩散层22,第1扩散层22设置在含有第2聚酯膜21的基材上。第2聚酯膜21中,与接触于第1扩散层22的面成相反侧的面与粘接剂层30粘接。
(第1阻隔膜)
<第1聚酯膜>
本发明中使用的第1聚酯膜11并无特别限定,例如可以是聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)及聚萘二甲酸乙二醇酯(PEN)等构成的聚酯膜,聚乙烯、聚丙烯、环状烯烃共聚物(COC)及环烯烃聚合物(COP)等构成的聚烯烃膜,聚苯乙烯膜、6,6-尼龙等构成的聚酰胺膜,聚碳酸酯膜、聚丙烯腈膜及聚酰亚胺膜等工程塑料膜等。作为第1聚酯膜11,特别优选在双轴方向上任意拉伸而成的双轴拉伸聚酯膜。双轴拉伸聚酯膜的尺寸稳定性、耐热性及透明性优异。
第1聚酯膜11的厚度并无特别限定,优选为3μm~200μm的范围、更优选为6μm~50μm的范围。该第1聚酯膜11的厚度是考虑到层叠第1密合层12、第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13、第1复合被膜层14、第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15及第2复合被膜层16时的加工性的值。另外,在各层的层叠时,为了提高各层的密合性,例如可任意地实施等离子体处理、电晕放电处理、臭氧处理及辉光放电处理等其他前处理。
作为第1聚酯膜11,特别优选酸值(中和树脂1g所需的氢氧化钾的mg数)为25mgKOH/g以下的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯系膜。这里,当第1聚酯膜11的酸值超过25mgKOH/g时,特别是高温高湿环境下的基材稳定性受损、引起阻隔性降低,因此不优选。而当酸值为25mgKOH/g以下时,由于基材稳定性增加、即便在高温高湿环境下阻隔性也不会降低而稳定,因此优选。另外,作为酸值的测定方法,可以是称量剪切后的第1聚酯膜11,例如在甲酚中加热溶解后冷却,之后利用氢氧化钾乙醇溶液等进行滴定,对酸值进行定量。作为指示剂,例如可以使用酚酞溶液(参照JISK0070)。
为了例如在60℃/90%RH及85℃/85%RH等严酷环境下的显示器功能的加速劣化试验中稳定地表现出第1聚酯膜11的阻隔性,第1聚酯膜11优选耐水解性能优异。由于耐水解性能优异,例如对于作为第1聚酯膜11的PET膜,作为重均分子量优选为6万以上。PET膜在其重均分子量小于6万时,由于通常易于引起水解,因此PET膜的阻隔性易于劣化。PET膜中,由于耐水解性能优异,因此优选末端羧基的浓度减少至25当量/106g以下。末端羧基的浓度减少至25当量/106g以下时,反应点减少,因此PET膜的耐水解性能提高。聚酯中的末端羧基的浓度可以利用文献(ANALYTICALCHEMISTRY第26卷、1614页)所记载的方法进行测定。重均分子量利用常温GPC分析等方法测定。
PET膜优选是透光性和平滑性优异的膜。因此,为了PET膜的透光性提高,优选减少PET膜中使用的润滑剂。另外,当对PET膜层叠第1二氧化硅蒸镀层时,第1二氧化硅蒸镀层不会发生裂纹等,另外为了第1二氧化硅蒸镀层变为均匀的薄膜,优选PET膜的中心线表面粗糙度(Ra)为30nm以下。中心线表面粗糙度(Ra)为30nm以下时,可以说PET膜具有优异的平滑性。PET膜的表面粗糙度可以利用基于JISB0601的方法进行测定。
<第1密合层>
在第1聚酯膜11上设置第1密合层12。第1密合层12为了获得与第1二氧化硅蒸镀层的密合而适当地设置。第1密合层12可以通过在第1聚酯膜11的拉伸时进行涂布的在线方式及制膜了第1聚酯膜11之后的离线地进行涂布的离线方式中的任一个方法、或者通过在线方式及离线方式这两者来形成。作为第1密合层12并无特别限定,用于利用在线方式形成第1密合层12的密合层用组合物例如可以是丙烯酸材料或氨基甲酸酯材料。用于利用离线形成第1密合层12的密合层用组合物例如可以是丙烯酸多元醇酯等具有羟基的化合物与具有异氰酸酯基的异氰酸酯化合物的双组分反应复合物。第1聚酯膜11中,不仅可以在其单面、还可在两面上设置第1密合层12。
<第1二氧化硅蒸镀层及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层>
第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15是表现阻隔性的层。作为制成蒸镀层表现阻隔性的无机化合物,例如有氧化铝、氧化硅、氧化锡、氧化镁、氧化锌或它们的混合物等,本实施方式中选择含有氧化硅的二氧化硅蒸镀层。第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15具有在60℃/90%RH及85℃/85%RH等严酷环境下的显示器功能的加速劣化试验中的耐湿性。二氧化硅蒸镀层例如利用真空蒸镀法、溅射法、离子镀法、等离子体气相沉积法(CVD)等方法制作。
构成第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的氧及硅的O/Si比均优选以原子比计为1.7以上且2.0以下。当O/Si比以原子比计小于1.7时,由于第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15内的Si-Si键的比例增多、含有很多的有色金属,因此第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的透射率下降。另外,当O/Si比以原子比计超过2.0时,第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15不表现阻隔性能。作为适于显示器用途的第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的O/Si比,更优选以原子比计为1.85~2.0。
二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比例如利用X射线光电子分光法(XPS)测定。作为XPS测定装置,具体地例如可以是X射线光电子分光分析装置(日本电子株式会社制JPS-90MXV)。X射线源使用非单色化MgKα(1253.6eV),X射线功率值例如可以是100W(10kV-10mA)。用于计算O/Si比的定量分析中,例如相对于O的1s轨道、使用2.28的相对灵敏度因子,相对于Si的2p轨道、使用0.9的相对灵敏度因子。
构成与第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15相接触的第1复合被膜层14等第1量子点保护膜1的有机层(第1复合被膜层14、第2复合被膜层16)的折射率优选为1.5~1.7。因此,为了防止第1量子点保护膜1内的光学干涉,第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的折射率为1.5以上且1.7以下。作为第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的折射率,除了阻隔性之外,由于是显示器用途,从透明性的方面出发更优选为1.6~1.65。另外,在测定二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率时,利用物理气相沉积(PVD)法在PET膜上形成折射率不同的数个二氧化硅蒸镀膜。二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率由二氧化硅蒸镀层的厚度和因光干涉产生的透射率曲线算出。
第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的厚度优选为5nm~300nm的范围内。第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的厚度小于5nm时,难以获得均匀的膜,另外难以充分地发挥作为阻气材料的功能。第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的厚度超过300nm时,难以使第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15保持挠性,另外在蒸镀膜的成膜后,由于弯曲及拉伸等外部要因容易在蒸镀膜中产生龟裂。第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的厚度在考虑到利用在线制膜的生产率时,更优选为10~50nm的范围内。
作为形成第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的方法,例如还可以是真空蒸镀法、溅射法、离子镀法及等离子体气相沉积法(CVD)等中的任一种。作为真空蒸镀法所需的加热手段,可以使用电子束加热方式、电阻加热方式及感应加热方式中的任一种方式。为了提高第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的透光性,例如还可以使用吹入氧等各种气体等的反应蒸镀法。
<第1复合被膜层及第2复合被膜层>
第1复合被膜层14及第2复合被膜层16是具有阻气性的被膜层,使用涂覆剂形成。涂覆剂例如以含有选自水溶性高分子、金属烷氧化物、金属烷氧化物的水解物及硅烷偶联剂中的至少一种的水溶液、或水/醇混合溶液作为主剂。
涂覆剂具体地例如是在水溶性高分子的水溶液或水/醇混合溶液中直接混合金属烷氧化物、金属烷氧化物的水解物及硅烷偶联剂来制作。或者,涂覆剂例如是在水溶性高分子的水溶液或水/醇混合溶液中混合预先进行了水解等处理的金属烷氧化物和硅烷偶联剂来制作。涂覆剂的溶液通过涂覆在第1密合层12上之后进行加热干燥,从而形成第1复合被膜层14及第2复合被膜层16。另外,涂覆剂的溶液是分别涂覆在第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15上之后进行加热干燥,从而形成第1复合被膜层14及第2复合被膜层16。
作为涂覆剂中使用的水溶性高分子,例如可举出含羟基的高分子化合物。含羟基的高分子化合物例如可以是聚乙烯醇(PVA)、聚乙烯基吡咯烷酮、淀粉、甲基纤维素、羧甲基纤维素及褐藻酸钠等。作为涂覆剂,特别优选PVA。由PVA制成的复合被膜层的阻气性优异。
金属烷氧化物是通式M(OR)n(M:Si、Ti、Al、Zr等金属、R:CH3、C2H5等烷基、n:对应于M的价数的数值)所示的化合物。作为金属烷氧化物,具体地例如有四乙氧基硅烷〔Si(OC2H5)4〕及三异丙氧基铝〔Al(O-2’-C3H7)3〕等。作为金属烷氧化物,特别优选四乙氧基硅烷及三异丙氧基铝。四乙氧基硅烷及三异丙氧基铝在水解后,在水系溶剂中较为稳定。
硅烷偶联剂是通式R1 mSi(OR2)4-m(R1:有机官能团、R2:CH3、C2H5等烷基、m:1~3的整数)所示的化合物。作为硅烷偶联剂,具体地可以是例如乙基三甲氧基硅烷、乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-氯丙基甲基二甲氧基硅烷、γ-氯丙基三甲氧基硅烷、缩水甘油氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷及γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基甲基二甲氧基硅烷等硅烷偶联剂等。在硅烷偶联剂的溶液中,在不损害阻气性的范围内,还可根据需要添加异氰酸酯化合物、或者分散剂、稳定化剂、粘度调节剂及着色剂等公知的添加剂。
作为涂覆剂的涂布方法,例如可使用浸渍法、辊涂法、丝网印刷法、喷雾法及凹版印刷法等以往公知的方法。干燥后的第1复合被膜层14及第2复合被膜层16的厚度优选为0.01~50μm、更优选为0.1~10μm。干燥后的复合被膜层的厚度小于0.01μm时,由于无法获得均匀的涂膜,因此有无法获得充分的阻气性的情况。另外,当干燥后的复合被膜层的厚度超过50μm时,在复合被膜层上易于产生裂纹。
<粘接剂层>
为了贴合第1阻隔膜10和第1扩散膜20而使用粘接剂层30。作为粘接剂层30的材料,例如可以是含有丙烯酸系材料或聚酯系材料等的粘接剂及粘合剂。为了减薄第1量子点保护膜1的厚度,粘接剂层30的厚度优选为10μm以下。
(第1扩散膜)
<第2聚酯膜>
含有第2聚酯膜21的基材与含有第2聚酯膜21的基材同样,例如可以是PET及PEN等聚酯膜等。第2聚酯膜21特别优选是在双轴方向上任意拉伸而成的双轴拉伸聚酯膜。双轴拉伸聚酯膜的尺寸稳定性、耐热性及透光性优异。第2聚酯膜21中使用的PET膜也优选是透光性和平滑性优异的膜。
<第1扩散层>
第1扩散层22中,在其表面设有凹凸形状以赋予光的扩散性。另外,还赋予了干涉条纹(莫尔纹)防止功能及防反射功能等。第1扩散层22中,例如通过对分散有粒子等的有机层进行被膜的方法及对被膜后的有机层进一步实施压花加工的方法等来形成凹凸形状。在对分散有粒子等的有机层进行被膜的方法中,例如按照微粒从有机层的表面露出微粒一部分的方式进行填埋。由此,在第1扩散层22的表面上产生微细的凹凸、在第1扩散层22中防止牛顿环的发生。
有机层例如可以是含有聚酯系树脂、丙烯酸系树脂、丙烯酸氨基甲酸酯系树脂、聚酯丙烯酸酯系树脂、聚氨酯丙烯酸酯系树脂、环氧丙烯酸酯系树脂及氨基甲酸酯系树脂等的高分子树脂的层。
另外,有机层例如可以是含有热塑性树脂、热固化性树脂、紫外线固化型树脂等高分子树脂的层。
作为热塑性树脂,可举出乙酰纤维素、硝基纤维素、乙酰基丁基纤维素、乙基纤维素、甲基纤维素等纤维素衍生物、醋酸乙烯酯及其共聚物、氯乙烯及其共聚物、偏氯乙烯及其共聚物等乙烯基系树脂、聚乙烯醇缩甲醛、聚乙烯醇缩丁醛等缩醛树脂、丙烯酸树脂及其共聚物、甲基丙烯酸树脂及其共聚物等丙烯酸系树脂、聚苯乙烯树脂、聚酰胺树脂、线状聚酯树脂、氟树脂、聚碳酸酯树脂等。
作为热固化性树脂,可举出酚醛树脂、脲-三聚氰胺树脂、聚酯树脂、有机硅树脂等。
作为紫外线固化型树脂,可举出环氧丙烯酸酯、氨基甲酸酯丙烯酸酯、聚酯丙烯酸酯等光聚合性预聚物。另外,还可以以上述光聚合性预聚物作为主成分、使用单官能或多官能单体作为稀释剂来构成紫外线固化型树脂。
有机层的厚度(膜厚)优选为0.1~20μm的范围内、特别优选为0.3~10μm的范围内。这里,当有机层的膜厚小于0.1μm时,由于膜厚过薄有无法获得均匀的膜的情况、有无法充分发挥光学功能的情况,因此不优选。另一方面,当膜厚超过20μm时,微粒不会露出到第1扩散层22的表面,有无法获得凹凸赋予效果的可能,另外出于透明性降低或者虽然少但所谓薄膜化的显示器趋势的失调等理由,是不优选的。
分散在有机层中的粒子例如可以是二氧化硅、粘土、滑石、碳酸钙、硫酸钙、硫酸钡、珪酸铝、氧化钛、合成沸石、氧化铝、蒙脱石及氧化锆等无机微粒。另外,分散在有机层中的粒子还可以是例如由苯乙烯树脂、聚氨酯树脂、苯并胍胺树脂、有机硅树脂、丙烯酸树脂、四氟乙烯树脂、聚乙烯树脂及环氧树脂等构成的有机微粒等。其中,可以仅使用任一种,也可以使用2种以上。
微粒的平均一次粒径优选为0.5~30μm。本实施方式中,可以利用激光衍射法测定平均一次粒径。当微粒的平均粒径小于0.5μm时,由于无法获得对第1扩散层22的表面的凹凸赋予效果,因此不优选。另一方面,平均粒径超过30μm时,变成使用比有机层厚度大很多的粒子,具有导致光线透射率降低的不良情况,因此不优选。与其相对,平均粒径为上述范围内时,可以在维持高光线透射率的情况下对表面赋予凹凸形状。
另外,作为图1的第1量子点保护膜1,其反射率优选在蓝色区域的波长450nm、绿色区域的波长540nm、红色区域的波长620nm的各个波长下为10%以上且20%以下。反射率与第1阻隔膜10所产生的光学干涉有相关性。反射率在各波长下超过20%时,在第1量子点保护膜1在导光板(参照图2)上作为扩散片进行使用时,因光学干涉导致的颜色不均也会严重地呈现、从而发生外观不良。反射率在各波长下小于10%时,第1阻隔膜10中的第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15的O/Si比和折射率易于脱离上述优选值的范围,因此有表现不出第1阻隔膜10的阻隔性的可能性。
另外,第1量子点保护膜1的透射率优选在蓝色的450nm波长、绿色的540nm波长、红色的620nm波长的各个波长下为80%以上且95%以下。小于80%的透射率由于其透射率低、使量子点层的光转换效率降低,因此不优选。
(背光单元)
图2是本发明实施方式的背光单元的示意截面图。背光单元40具备第1量子点膜2、LED光源41及导光板42。第1量子点膜2含有量子点层3(参照图3)。导光板42具有第1侧面42A及与第1侧面42A垂直或交叉的第2侧面42B,LED光源41设置在导光板42的第1侧面42A的附近。LED光源41例如含有1个或多个LED元件。LED元件的发光色可以是蓝色、紫色或比紫色更低波长者。LED光源41朝向导光板42的第1侧面42A出射LED光L1。该LED光L1经过导光板42从第2侧面42B朝向第1量子点膜2照射。第1量子点膜2中,受到LED光L1的照射,量子点层3产生白色光L2。例如,当在第1量子点膜2的附近设置液晶面板时,白色光L2被供至该液晶面板。
(第1量子点膜)
图3是本发明实施方式的第1量子点膜的示意截面图。第1量子点膜2具备量子点层3,第1量子点膜2具有利用第1量子点保护膜1及通过与第1量子点保护膜1相同的方法制作的第2量子点保护膜4夹持量子点层3的结构。第2量子点保护膜4具备第2阻隔膜51、第2扩散膜52及第2粘接剂层53。第2粘接剂层53位于第2阻隔膜51与第2扩散膜52之间,介由第2粘接剂层53将第2阻隔膜51和第2扩散膜52贴合。通过该第1量子点膜2的结构,对量子点层3赋予阻隔性。量子点层3与第1量子点保护膜1的第1阻隔膜10及第2量子点保护膜4的第2阻隔膜51相贴合。
量子点层3由量子点化合物与例如丙烯酸或环氧等感光性树脂等的量子点层用混合物形成。在形成量子点层3时,将量子点层用混合物涂布在第1阻隔膜10及第2阻隔膜51上。当对量子点层用混合物进行UV照射时,量子点层用混合物所含的感光性树脂发生固化。由此,形成量子点层3被第1量子点保护膜1及第2量子点保护膜4夹持的第1量子点膜2。另外,量子点层用混合物中例如还可进一步含有热固化性树脂或化学固化性的树脂等,还可在UV固化之后对量子点层用混合物实施例如热固化。
量子点层3使用2种含有量子点化合物的荧光体,例如2种荧光体相互间混合并被感光性树脂等密封。或者,量子点层3中,将密封有1种荧光体的荧光体层和密封有另1种荧光体的荧光体层进行2层层叠。1种荧光体的激发波长大致相同,其激发波长由LED光源41的波长决定。2种荧光体的荧光色相互间不同,2种荧光体例如具有红色及绿色的荧光色。荧光体的荧光的波长及LED光源41的波长基于液晶模块的像素的滤色器的分光特性来进行选择。作为荧光体的荧光的峰值波长,例如可以是红色区域为610nm、绿色区域为550nm。
量子点层3中,例如具有由进行发光的芯和对芯进行被膜的保护膜的壳构成的芯壳结构。芯例如可以含有硒化镉(CdSe),壳可以含有硫化锌(ZnS)。例如,含有CdSe芯和ZnS壳的的量子点中,CdSe粒子的表面缺陷由于被带隙大的ZnS被膜,因此量子点的量子收率提高。荧光体还可以具有芯被2个壳双重地被膜的结构。被双重被膜的芯壳结构例如可以是芯含有CdSe、2个壳分别含有硒化锌(ZnSe)及ZnS。
第1量子点膜2由于设置在导光板42与例如液晶面板之间,因此为了避免因塑料膜彼此层叠所引起的牛顿环等不良情况,在第1量子点膜2的两端例如设置扩散层。量子点层3的厚度例如为数十μm~数百μm。
第1量子点保护膜1中,当将第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13与第1复合被膜层层叠、第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15与第2复合被膜层层叠时,阻气性提高。即,第1阻隔膜中,当具有二氧化硅蒸镀层与复合被膜层交替地各层叠2层以上的结构时,使用了量子点的荧光体的性能能够得以最大限度地发挥,结果可获得高效率且高精细、长寿命的显示器。
(第3量子点保护膜)
图4是本发明实施方式的第3量子点保护膜的示意截面图。第3量子点保护膜5具备第1阻隔膜10、第3阻隔膜60、粘接剂层30及第2扩散层31。粘接剂层30位于第1阻隔膜10与第3阻隔膜60之间,将第1阻隔膜10与第3阻隔膜60贴合。第2扩散层31在第3阻隔膜60中设置在与第3阻隔膜60接触于粘接剂层30的面成相反侧的面上。第3量子点保护膜5通过具备第2扩散层31而具有光的扩散性。
第1阻隔膜10具备含有第1聚酯膜11的基材、第1密合层12、第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13、第1复合被膜层14、第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15及第2复合被膜层16。在含有第1聚酯膜11的基材上依次设置第1密合层12、第1二氧化硅蒸镀层13、第1复合被膜层14、第2二氧化硅蒸镀层15及第2复合被膜层16。第2复合被膜层16与粘接剂层30粘接。
第3阻隔膜60具备含有第2聚酯膜61的基材、第2密合层62、第3二氧化硅蒸镀层63、第3复合被膜层64、第4二氧化硅蒸镀层65及第4复合被膜层66。在含有第2聚酯膜61的基材上依次设置第2密合层62、第3二氧化硅蒸镀层63、第3复合被膜层64、第4二氧化硅蒸镀层65及第4复合被膜层66。第4复合被膜层66与粘接剂层30粘接。
另外,当代替第1量子点保护膜1及第2量子点保护膜4而使用第3量子点保护膜5及与第3量子点保护膜相同的第4量子点保护膜时,可以利用与第1量子点膜2相同的方法制作第2量子点膜。
实施例
以下利用实施例及比较例进一步说明本发明,但本发明并不受下述例子的限制。
[实施例1]
(第1阻隔膜的制作)
在使用重均分子量为6万的PET所形成的厚度为16μm的PET膜的基材的单面上涂饰密合层用组合物,层叠厚度为0.1μm的第1密合层。接着,在第1密合层上按照其厚度达到30nm的方式利用物理蒸镀法层叠第1二氧化硅蒸镀层。在第1二氧化硅蒸镀层上利用使用了含涂覆剂的复合被膜层用组合物的湿式涂覆法形成厚度为1μm的第1复合被膜层。进而,在第1复合被膜层上按照其厚度达到30nm的方式层叠第2二氧化硅蒸镀层。接着,在第2二氧化硅蒸镀层上利用使用了复合被膜组合物的湿式涂覆法形成厚度为1μm的第2复合被膜层,制作第1阻隔膜。第1二氧化硅蒸镀层及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层中的O/Si比以原子比计为1.8、折射率为1.61。
密合层用组合物是丙烯酸多元醇酯与甲苯撑二异氰酸酯的醋酸乙酯溶液。丙烯酸多元醇酯的OH基与甲苯撑二异氰酸酯的NCO基相互间为等量。醋酸乙酯溶液中的丙烯酸多元醇酯与甲苯撑二异氰酸酯的总固体成分浓度为5质量%。
复合被膜层用组合物的制作中,将四乙氧基硅烷10.4g添加到0.1N(当量浓度)的盐酸89.6g中,搅拌该盐酸溶液30分钟,将四乙氧基硅烷水解。水解后的固体成分浓度以SiO2换算为3质量%。将四乙氧基硅烷的水解溶液和聚乙烯醇的3质量%水溶液混合,制成复合被膜层用组合物。四乙氧基硅烷的水解溶液与聚乙烯醇的配合比以质量%换算为50:50。
在第1及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层的形成中,在其形成前改变所蒸镀的材料的种类等蒸镀条件来确定优选的蒸镀条件。二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比使用X射线光电子分光分析装置(日本电子株式会社制、JPS-90MXV)进行调查。X射线源使用非单色化MgKα(1253.6eV)、在X射线功率为100W(10kV-10mA)下进行测定。用于求得二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比的定量分析分别使用O1s为2.28、Si2p为0.9的相对灵敏度因子进行。二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率是利用二氧化硅蒸镀层的厚度和因光干涉所生成的透射率曲线的峰的波长、通过模拟算出的。
(第1扩散膜的形成)
在厚度为50μm的PET膜基材上,按照其厚度达到5μm的方式涂饰粒径为3μm的烯烃系粒子分散于氨基甲酸酯粘合剂中而成的扩散层。由此,获得雾度值为60%(JISK7136)的第1扩散膜。
(第1量子点保护膜的制作)
使用粘接剂层将第1阻隔膜的第2复合被膜层和第2聚酯膜的与扩散层相接触的面为相反侧的面粘接,制作第1量子点保护膜。利用双组分固化型的氨基甲酸酯粘接剂制作粘接剂层。粘接后的粘接剂层的厚度为5μm。
(第1量子点膜的制作)
利用以下方法获得具有CdSe/ZnS的芯壳结构的荧光体。首先,在十八碳烯中以质量比1:1混合添加有辛基胺及醋酸镉的溶液和在三辛基膦中溶解有硒的溶液,使其通过经加热的微流路,获得作为核微粒的CdSe微粒溶液。接着,按照质量比达到1:1的方式将CdSe微粒溶液和在三辛基膦中溶解有[(CH3)2NCSS]2Zn的溶液混合,使其通过经加热的微流路,获得CdSe/ZnS结构的荧光体。将所得荧光体混合在感光性树脂(环氧树脂)中,获得量子点层用混合物。接着,在第1量子点保护膜的第1阻隔膜上涂布量子点层用混合物,使涂布有该量子点层用混合物的第1阻隔膜的面与通过与第1量子点保护膜相同的方法制作的第2量子点保护膜的第2阻隔膜的面相向,在第1量子点保护膜上层叠第2量子点保护膜。对量子点层用混合物进行UV照射,使量子点层用混合物所含的感光性树脂固化。由此,形成量子点层被第1及第2量子点保护膜夹持的第1量子点膜。
(背光单元的制作)
在所得量子点膜上组合LED光源和导光板,制作背光单元。
[实施例2]
利用与实施例1相同的工序制作第1阻隔膜和第3阻隔膜。实施例2中,介由粘接剂层将第1阻隔膜与第3阻隔膜贴合。在第3阻隔膜的PET膜上按照其厚度达到5μm的方式涂饰粒径为3μm的烯烃系粒子分散于氨基甲酸酯粘合剂中而成的扩散层。获得雾度值为60%(JISK7136)的第3量子点保护膜。使用2张第3量子点保护膜,利用与实施例1相同的方法获得第2量子点膜。
[比较例1]
改变SiO蒸镀材料的O/Si比,调整物理蒸镀的条件,从而使二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比以原子比计为1.4、折射率为1.75,制作第1及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层。除了二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比及折射率的值以外,利用与实施例1同样的方法,获得第1量子点膜。
[比较例2]
改变SiO蒸镀材料的O/Si比,调整物理蒸镀的条件,从而使二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比以原子比计为2.1、折射率为1.42,制作第1及第2二氧化硅蒸镀层。除了二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比及折射率的值以外,利用与实施例1同样的方法,获得第1量子点膜
<量子点保护膜及背光单元的评价>
表1是表示实施例1、实施例2、比较例1及比较例2中制作的量子点保护膜的反射率及透射率的评价结果的表。
表2是表示实施例1、实施例2、比较例1及比较例2中制作的量子点保护膜的水蒸汽透过度及背光单元的亮度和外观的评价结果的表。
表1及表2中,对于使用了第1量子点保护膜的实施例及比较例,将量子点保护膜的构成记为“第1”。表1及表2中,对于使用了第3量子点保护膜的实施例,将量子点保护膜的构成记为“第3”。

量子点保护膜的反射率及透射率使用分光光度计(商品名:SHIMAZUUV-2450)在波长450nm、540nm及620nm下测定。在测定时,自与量子点保护膜的扩散层相反侧的面照射测定光。量子点保护膜的水蒸汽透过度(g/m2·天)使用水蒸汽透过度测定装置(ModernControl公司制的Permatran3/33)、在40℃/90%RH气氛下进行测定。
背光单元的亮度的测定及外观的评价是在60℃/90%RH气氛下的1000小时保存实验的前后来实施。表2中,初期表示保存实验前、保存后表示保存实验后。背光单元的亮度使用亮度计(Konicaminolta公司制的LS-100)进行测定。关于背光单元的外观,在具有可耐受作为背光单元的显示器用途的外观时评价为“A”;在显示器上可见因颜色不均等导致的色调变化、有黑点等颜色重现不良时评价为“B”。表2中“-”表示不需要评价。
如表2所示确认了:使用了实施例1及实施例2的阻隔膜的背光单元中,除了初期具备作为量子点显示器特长的高亮度之外,即便是在60℃/90%RH气氛的严酷保存实验后也维持了高亮度。表示阻隔膜的阻隔性即便在严酷的环境下也得以维持。当阻隔性低时,放置于严酷环境下之后的背光的亮度会降低。
比较例1中,由于二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率高,因此量子点保护膜的反射率高、同时透射率低。当透射率低时,则亮度低、外观也变得不透明,因此难以满足作为显示器用途的规格。比较例2由于二氧化硅蒸镀层的反射率低,因此量子点保护膜的透明性(透光性)高。另一方面确认了:比较例2中,由于二氧化硅蒸镀层的O/Si比以原子比计超过2.0,因此阻隔性未充分地表现出来、亮度在短时间内丧失。表示比较例2的背光单元缺乏作为显示器用途的可靠性。
产业上的可利用性
根据本发明,可提供阻隔性优异、构成背光时可长期地地获得高亮度、进而构成显示器时可长期地地获得优异外观的量子点保护膜、及含有该量子点保护膜的量子点膜。进而,根据本发明,能提供可获得高亮度和显示器应用时的优异外观的背光单元。

Claims (7)
1.一种量子点保护膜,其是具备含有二氧化硅蒸镀层的阻隔膜和扩散层的量子点保护膜,其中,
所述二氧化硅蒸镀层所含的氧与硅的O/Si比以原子比计为1.7以上且2.0以下,
所述二氧化硅蒸镀层的折射率为1.5以上且1.7以下,
在波长450nm、波长540nm及波长620nm的所有波长下,所述量子点保护膜的反射率为10%以上且20%以下,并且透射率为80%以上且95%以下。
2.根据权利要求1所述的量子点保护膜,其中,
所述阻隔膜具有在聚酯膜的至少单面上依次层叠有密合层、所述二氧化硅蒸镀层及复合被膜层的结构,
所述复合被膜层是含有选自水溶性高分子、金属烷氧化物、金属烷氧化物的水解物及硅烷偶联剂中的至少1种的层。
3.根据权利要求2所述的量子点保护膜,其中,所述聚酯膜是由重均分子量为6万以上的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯构成的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯膜。
4.根据权利要求2或3所述的量子点保护膜,其中,所述阻隔膜具有将所述二氧化硅蒸镀层和所述复合被膜层交替地各层叠2层以上的结构。
5.一种量子点膜,其具备含有荧光体的量子点层和权利要求1~4中任一项所述的量子点保护膜。
6.根据权利要求5所述的量子点保护膜,其中,所述扩散层、所述阻隔膜、所述量子点层、所述阻隔膜及所述扩散层依次层叠。
7.一种背光单元,其具备LED光源、导光板以及设置在所述导光板上的权利要求5或6所述的量子点膜。
