Additional patent to main patent no. 217234. Process for the representation of a stilbene dye. The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a stilbene dye, characterized in that a mixture of 4-amino-2-methoxy-2'-oxy-1,1'-azobenzene-5'-sulfonic acid is prepared, for example by coupling diazotized 2-amino-1-oxybenzene-4-sulfonic acid with m-anisidine,
and of naphthalenedisulfonic acid (4.8) -2,1 '- azo - 2', 5'-dimethyl -4 '- aminobenzene, for example prepared by coupling dianotated 2-aminonaphthalene-4,8-disulfonic acid with p-Xylidine, with or without pressure, condensed with 4,4'-dinitrostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acid and the condensation product transferred into the copper lacquer with copper-releasing agents.
The new dye is a dark powder when dried; it dissolves in water with a brownish-red color, in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue color and dyes cotton in lightfast, brown tones.
Example, <I> 1: </I> 32 parts of the dye, prepared by coupling dianotated 2-amino-1-oxyben- zene-4-sulfonic acid with m - anisidine, and 43 parts of the dye, prepared by coupling dianotized 2-aminonaphthalene-4,8-disulfonic acid with p-xylidine, are mixed with 47.4 parts of 4,4'-dinitrostilben-2,
Sodium 2'-disulphonate was condensed in 500 parts of water and 100 parts of sodium hydroxide solution for 36 B6 for 18 hours at the boiling point. After the sodium hydroxide solution has been blunted with hydrochloric acid, the dye is salted out and filtered.
The still moist filter cake is dissolved in approx. 2500 parts of water at <B> 80 '</B> and treated with an ammoniacal copper sulfate solution, made from 25 parts of crystallized copper sulfate, dissolved in 100 parts of water and 60 parts of 25% ammonia Stirred at 90 to 95 for 12 hours. It is checked that there is an excess of copper right up to the end. The copper compound is salted out and filtered.
Example 2: 20 parts of the dye made by coupling dianotated 2-amino-l-oxybenzene-4-sulfonic acid with m-anisidine and 43 parts of the dye made by coupling dianotated 2-amino -Naphthalin-4,8-disulfonic acid with p-xylidine, who condensed with 47.4 parts of 4,4'-dinitrostilben-2 disulfonic acid sodium in 500 parts of water and 100 parts of sodium hydroxide solution of 36 Be for 18 hours at boiling temperature. After the sodium hydroxide solution has been blunted with hydrochloric acid, the dye is salted out and filtered.
The still moist filter cake of the dye is dissolved in approx. 2500 parts of water at 80 and mixed with an ammoniacal copper sulfate solution, prepared from 17 parts of crystallized copper sulfate, dissolved in 1.00 parts of water and 40 parts of 25% ammonia , Stirred at 90 to 95 for 12 hours. The copper compound is salted out and filtered.
The new dye is a dark powder when dried; it dissolves in water with a reddish-brown color, in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue color and dyes cotton in lightfast brown tones.
