Abstract

trata-se de um processo para converter carbonato de cálcio natural em carbonato de cálcio precipitado que envolve tratar o carbonato de cálcio natural com um sulfato para produzir um gesso, e reagir o gesso com pelo menos uma fonte de carbonato para produzir carbonato de cálcio precipitado. o polimorfo cristalino, o tamanho de partícula e várias outras características do carbonato de cálcio precipitado são controlados por meio da variação de condições durante a reação. visto que o carbonato de cálcio natural não é calcinado, o processo se refere a um método de baixa energia de produção de carbonato de cálcio precipitado de polimorfo e tamanho de partícula controlados com calcário, mármore ou giz como a fonte de cálcio.
