Abstract
trata-se de um processo para tratar um fluido sulfuroso para formar gesso e carbonato de magnésio, em que o fluido sulfuroso é purificado com um agente sequestrante para render um fluido purificado, gesso e sulfato de magnésio. o gesso dessulfurizado de gás de combustão é isolado da solução de sulfato de magnésio por meio de filtração ou centrifugação. o sulfato de magnésio é reagido com um sal de carbonato para produzir um carbonato de magnésio, em que as condições de reação são controladas para controlar as propriedades do carbonato de magnésio produzido.
