また、特許文献3では(a)加硫可能な含フッ素エラストマー、(b)架橋剤としてのポリオール化合物を含むポリオール加硫剤及び(c)特定の脂肪族アミン化合物を包含してなる含フッ素エラストマー加硫性組成物が、特許文献4では(a)フッ素ゴム 100重量部、 (b)2価の金属化合物(但し、酸化亜鉛を除く。) 1~30重量部、 (c)酸化亜鉛 0.05~100重量部、 (d)ポリヒドロキシ化合物 0.05~ 10重量部、 (e)架橋助剤 0.05~ 10重量部からなる耐熱性フッ素ゴム組成物が、特許文献5では(a)ヨウ素原子および/または臭素原子が含有されているテトラフルオロエチレン/パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル共重合体と、(b)純度が95%以上の有機過酸化物と、(c)純度が95%以上の共架橋剤とを含有する加硫可能なフッ素ゴム組成物が、それぞれ開示されている。
そこで、新たな手法による機械的特性の更なる向上が要望されている。

<フッ素ゴム組成物>
本実施形態のフッ素ゴム組成物は、フッ素ゴムを含有するゴム成分及びカーボンブラックを含んでなり、ゴムプロセスアナライザ(RPA)による未加硫ゴムでの動的粘弾性試験(測定温度:100℃、測定周波数:1Hz)における動的歪み1%時のせん断弾性率G’(1%)及び動的歪み100%時のせん断弾性率G’(100%)の差δGA’(G’(1%)-G’(100%))が、120kPa以上3000kPa以下であることを特徴とする。
カーボンブラックと一般のゴムとを混合するとゲルを形成することが知られている。そして、このゲルがゴム中でどのようなミクロ構造を形成するかにより、当該ゴムの機械的特性が大きく左右されると考えられる。
そして、前記カーボンゲルのミクロ構造に対応した未加硫ゴムの力学物性として、ラバープロセスアナライザ(RPA)による動的粘弾性試験(測定温度:100℃、測定周波数:1Hz)における動的歪み1%時のせん断弾性率G’(1%)及び動的歪み100%時のせん断弾性率G’(100%)の差δGA’(G’(1%)-G’(100%))に着目し、δGA’が120kPa以上3000kPa以下である場合に、加硫後前記カーボンゲルのミクロ構造に対応した優れた機械的特性が発揮されることが見出された。なお前記RPAは、ゴム混合物の粘弾性特性および加工挙動を研究するための解析装置として周知であり、周波数、温度、歪を独立に変化させることが可能なレオメーターである。
δGB’を上記範囲とすることにより、引張り強度を得るための十分なカーボンゲルネットワーク形成や、伸びを得るためのフレキシブルなカーボンゲルネットワーク補強形成が達成される。δGB’は300kPa以上7000kPa以下であることがより好ましく、300kPa以上3000kPa以下であることがさらに好ましい。
具体的には、まず、加硫後の25℃における引張強さが10MPa以上50MPa以下、切断時伸びが400%以上800%以下であり、160℃における引張強さが1MPa以上20MPa以下、切断時伸びが150%以上500%以下であることが望ましい。
また、前記160℃における引張強さは、5MPa以上20MPa以下であることがより好ましく、切断時伸びは200%以上450%以下であることがより好ましい。
なお、上記の切断時伸び及び引張強さは、JIS K 6251:2004に準拠して測定される。
(フッ素ゴム)
前記フッ素ゴムは、テトラフルオロエチレン、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、ペンタフルオロプロピレン、トリフルオロエチレン、クロロトリフルオロエチレン、フッ化ビニル、パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル及びプロピレンから選ばれる少なくとも1種とフッ化ビニリデンとの共重合体、テトラフルオロエチレン/パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル共重合体並びにテトラフルオロエチレン/プロピレン共重合体から選ばれる少なくとも1種であるが、テトラフルオロエチレン、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、ペンタフルオロプロピレン、トリフルオロエチレン、クロロトリフルオロエチレン、フッ化ビニル、パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル及びプロピレンから選ばれる少なくとも1種とフッ化ビニリデンとの共重合体(特に、二元共重合体又は三元共重合体)が好ましい。
本実施形態におけるゴム成分はフッ素ゴムのみからなることが好ましいが、本発明の課題の解決に反しない範囲で、エピクロルヒドリンゴム、シリコーンゴム、ブチルゴム、ハロゲン化ブチルゴム、アクリルゴム等の他のゴムを少量配合しても良い。
本実施形態のフッ素ゴム組成物に配合されるカーボンブラックは、ファーネス法で製造されるファーネスブラックが好ましく、市販のあらゆるものが使用できるが、特にハードブラックが好ましい。ここで、該ハードブラックとは、SAF、ISAF、HAF等を指し、これらのカーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積(以下、「N2SA」という。)が25m2/g以上180m2/g以下であり、かつジブチルフタレート吸収量(以下、「DBP吸収量」という。)が60ml/100g以上180ml/100g以下であることが好ましい。
N2SAが25m2/g以上180m2/g以下であれば、補強性を有するカーボンゲルネットワークの形成に有効だからである。また、カーボンブラックのDBP吸収量が60ml/100g以上180ml/100g以下であれば、フレキシブルなカーボンゲルネットワークの形成に有効だからである。
これらの中では、LI-HAF、HAF、ISAFが特に好ましい。
なお、上記のカーボンブラックは、一種を単独で用いても良いし、複数種を併用しても良い。
本実施形態のフッ素ゴム組成物にさらに配合される加硫系配合剤としては、有機過酸化物、共架橋剤及び所望により配合される架橋助剤としての金属化合物が挙げられる。
有機過酸化物としては、架橋剤としての働きを有していれば特に限定されず、例えばベンゾイルパーオキサイド、tert-ブチルヒドロパーオキサイド、2,4-ビクロロベンゾイルパーオキサイド、ジ-tert-ブチルパーオキサイド、ジクミルパーオキサイド、tert-ブチルクミルパーオキサイド、1,1-ジ(tert-ブチルパーオキシ)-3,3,5-トリメチルシクロヘキサン、2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ジ(tert-ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキサン、2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ジ(tert-ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキシン-3,1,3-ジ(2-tert-ブチルパーオキシイソプロピル)ベンゼン、2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ジ(ベンゾイルパーオキシ)ヘキサン、tert-ブチルパーオキシベンゾエート、tert-ブチルパーオキシイソプロピルカーボネート、n-ブチル-4,4-ジ(tert-ブチルパーオキシ)バレレート、2,5-ジメチルヘキサン-2,5-ジ(パーオキシルベンゾエート)等が挙げられる。
これらの中では、2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ジ(tert-ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキサンなどのジアルキルパーオキサイドが特に好ましい。
上記の有機過酸化物は、一種を単独で用いても良いし、複数種を併用しても良い。
上記の共架橋剤の内、加硫性、加硫物の物性の点から、トリアリルイソシアヌレート(TAIC)が好ましい。
金属酸化物としては、亜鉛華(ZnO)、酸化マグネシウム、酸化鉛、酸化カルシウム、酸化亜鉛、酸化鉄、酸化チタン、酸化ケイ素、酸化アルミニウム等が挙げられ、これらの内、亜鉛華(ZnO)、酸化マグネシウム、酸化カルシウム等の2価の金属酸化物が好ましい。
上記の金属化合物は、一種を単独で用いても良いし、複数種を併用しても良い。
なお、上記のうち加工助剤は、ゴム成分100質量部に対して0.1質量部以上10質量部以下含まれることが好ましく、特にアルキルアミンは0.1質量部以上5.0質量部以下含まれることがより好ましい。また、前記アルキルアミンとしては、例えば、Farmin(ファーミン) 86T(花王(株)製)、Armeen 18D(アクゾ社製)が挙げられる。
前記平均せん断速度は300(1/秒)以上とすることが好ましく、1000(1/秒)以上とすることがより好ましい。
ここで、上記平均せん断速度(γ、1/秒)は、ローター径R、ローターチップ先端クリアランスC、ローター回転数N(rpm)とすると、γ=π・R・N/15C(π:円周率)で求めることができる。
なお、混練最高温度Tmは、混練機内の複数個所に温度センサーを設置して検知する。
図1に示す密閉型混練装置は、接線式1翼型のバッチ式密閉型混練機であって、「インターナルミキサー」と称されるものである。この密閉型混練装置10は、混練機11と動力部21、油圧シリンダー19及びガイドロット20とから構成されている。この混練機11は混練機本体12とフローティングウェイト18との組合せにより構成されている。混練機本体12は、断面半円状に形成された円筒面を2個合体した形の混練室(混練チャンバ)13を形成している。該混練室13の上方には、円筒面に形成された開口部14が設けられている。
なお、上記のインターナルミキサーとしては、バンバリー型や加圧ニーダーが一般的に用いられている。
フローティングウェイト18は、混練機本体12の開口部14内側に嵌合する外周面18aが設けられていると共に、油圧シリンダー19及びガイドロット20からの圧力によりゴム成分とカーボンブラック等のゴム用配合材料が混合し易い様に押え込み圧接している。フローティングウェイト形状は、かまぼこ型よりもかもめ型が好ましいが、バンバリー型でもよい。
開放型のオープンロールは、混練り最高温度Tmを高くすることが通常の場合困難であるので、その場合では本実施形態に係る混練工程においては使用するのは好ましくない。
カーボンブラックを混練機内に投入完了した時から混練機のローターにかかるパワーが上昇し、その後徐々にパワーが低下して混練工程を終了する。混練工程(A)は、ゴム成分とカーボンブラック等との混合物が混練機から排出されて終了する。混練工程(A)終了後の混合物は、ロール(バンバリー型混練機においては、アンダーロール)等によりシート化されて次工程に移る。
なお、所望により、混練工程(A)と混練工程(B)との間に、混練工程(A)で得られた混合物を再び混練りする工程(「マスターバッチRemill工程」または「X-ミル工程」ともいう。)を行っても良い。
また、混練工程(A)及び混練工程(B)を行うための具体的な混練装置としては、例えば、混練工程(A)ではバンバリー、ニーダー、1軸混練機、2軸混練機などを、混練工程(B)では上記混練工程(A)で用いる混練機、ロール及びミルブレンダーなどを使用することができる。
具体的には、上記加硫性のフッ素ゴム組成物を、射出成形機、圧縮成形機、加硫プレス機、オーブンなどを用いて、通常、加圧下、140℃~230℃の温度で1~120分程度加熱することにより、架橋(加硫)して加硫品を成形することができる。 上記の加硫は、一定の形状を形成するために架橋させる工程であり、複雑な形状では、好ましくは、金型により成形されるが、空気加熱等のオーブンでも加硫は可能である。
本実施形態では、必要に応じて2次加硫を行うこともできる。2次加硫を行う場合、上記と同様の方法でも良いが、用途によっては、例えば140℃~230℃の温度範囲で1~24時間熱処理しても良い。この場合、140℃~230℃の間で温度を段階的に上げる加硫(ステップ加硫)を行ってもよい。
本実施形態のタイヤ製造用ブラダーは、前記本実施形態のフッ素ゴム組成物を用いて製造される。具体的には、本実施形態のフッ素ゴム組成物を成型し、加硫することにより前記ブラダーを得ることができる。
一般に、タイヤの製造工程においては、タイヤの各構成部材を組み立てて生タイヤ(未加硫タイヤ)を成型する際に用いるタイヤ成型用ブラダーと、加硫時に最終的な製品タイヤ形状を付与するために用いるタイヤ加硫用ブラダーとの、大きく分けて2種類のブラダーが使用されている。本実施形態のフッ素ゴム組成物は、上記いずれのブラダーの製造用として使用することができる。
なお、諸特性は下記の方法に従って測定した。
未加硫ゴムについては、ラバープロセスアナライザRPA-2000(アルファテクノロジーズ社製)を用いて、100℃、1Hzにて歪分散を測定し、せん断弾性率G’を求めた。このとき、動的歪みを1%、100%として各々G’を求め、δGA’(G’(1%)-G’(100%))を算出した。
一方、PRA-2000内で未加硫ゴムを160℃、30分で加硫させ、続けて60℃、1Hzにて歪分散を測定し、加硫ゴムのせん断弾性率G’を求めた。このとき、動的歪みを1%、10%として各々G’を求め、δGB’(G’(1%)-G’(10%))を算出した。
(2)切断時伸び(%)及び引張強さ(MPa)
JIS K 6251:2004に準拠して、25℃及び160℃で測定した。サンプルは、第1表に示す結果についてはダンベル状3号形、第2表に示す結果についてはダンベル状6号形(共に平行部分の厚さ2mm)を各々用いた。
(3)引裂強さ(N/mm)
JIS K 6252:2001に準拠して、25℃及び160℃で測定した。サンプルは、切込みなしアングル形(厚さ2mm)を用いた。
(4)耐疲労性
JIS K 6260:1999に準拠して、25℃にてデマチャ屈曲き裂試験を行い、破断に至る屈曲回数を求めた。
(フッ素ゴム組成物の製造)
第1表に各々示す配合により、共架橋剤、有機過酸化物を除く成分を、表中に示す条件でフッ素ゴムとカーボンブラックとを混練りする混練工程(A)を実施し、混練温度が最高温度Tmに達したときに放出してマスターバッチ(混合物)を得た。なお、混練機としては混練容量1リットルの密閉型ミキサー((株)モリヤマ製、DS1-5MHB-E型ニーダー)を用い、ロールタイプとして10インチロール(桜井ロール(株)製)を用いた。
混練工程(A)で得られたマスターバッチを室温(23℃)で12時間放置する熟成工程を経た後、上記のマスターバッチに第1表に示す共架橋剤及び有機過酸化物を加え、8インチのオープンロールにて100℃で混練して(混練工程(B))加硫性のフッ素ゴム組成物を得た。なお、亜鉛華及びアルキルアミンは混練工程(A)で加えてもよいし、混練工程(B)で加えてもよいし、混練工程(A)、(B)で分けて加えてもよい。
得られた加硫性のフッ素ゴム組成物(未加硫)をシート状に加工した後、金型中で圧力2.0MPa、温度160℃、30分の条件でプレス加硫して、厚さ2mmのシートを得た。得られた加硫後のフッ素ゴム組成物のシートを用いて、動的粘弾性試験によるせん断弾性率、切断時伸び、引張強さ、引裂強さ及び耐疲労性を前記の方法によって測定した。一方、前記未加硫のフッ素ゴム組成物のシートについて、別途動的粘弾性試験によるせん断弾性率の測定を行った。
結果を第1表に示す。

(フッ素ゴム組成物の製造)
第2表に各々示す配合により、共架橋剤、有機過酸化物を除く成分を、表中に示す条件でフッ素ゴムとカーボンブラックとを混練りする混練工程(A)を実施し、混練温度が最高温度Tmに達したときに放出してマスターバッチ(混合物)を得た。なお、混練機としてはミキサータイプとして0.5リットルの密閉型ミキサー((株)モリヤマ製、ミックスラボ)、35リットルの密閉型ミキサ(トーシン社製)を用い、ロールタイプとして8インチロール(関西ロール社製)、22インチロール(神戸機械社製)を用いた。
混練工程(A)で得られたマスターバッチを室温(23℃)で12時間放置する熟成工程を経た後、上記のマスターバッチに第2表に示す共架橋剤及び有機過酸化物を加え、8インチのオープンロールにて100℃で混練して(混練工程(B))加硫性のフッ素ゴム組成物を得た。なお、亜鉛華及びアルキルアミンは混練工程(A)で加えてもよいし、混練工程(B)で加えてもよいし、混練工程(A)、(B)で分けて加えてもよい。
得られた加硫性のフッ素ゴム組成物(未加硫)をシート状に加工した後、金型中で圧力2.0MPa、温度160℃、30分の条件でプレス加硫して、厚さ2mmのシートを得た。得られた加硫後のフッ素ゴム組成物のシートを用いて、動的粘弾性試験によるせん断弾性率、切断時伸び、引張強さ、引裂強さ及び耐疲労性を前記の方法によって測定した。一方、前記未加硫のフッ素ゴム組成物のシートについて、別途動的粘弾性試験によるせん断弾性率の測定を行った。
結果を第2表に示す。
*1 フッ素ゴム-A:ビニリデンフロライド/ヘキサフルオロプロピレンの2元共重合体、ダイキン工業(株)製、商品名「G801」
*2 フッ素ゴム-B:ビニリデンフロライド/テトラフルオロエチレン/ヘキサフルオロプロピレンの3共重合体、ダイキン工業(株)製、商品名「G9074」
*3 カーボンブラック-A:MT(N2SA:12m2/g、DBP吸収量:41ml/100g)、Cancarb thermix社製、商品名「N990」
*4 カーボンブラック-B:GPF(N2SA:27m2/g、DBP吸収量: 87ml/100g)、東海カーボン株式会社製、商品名「シーストV」
*5 カーボンブラック-C:ISAF(N2SA:119m2/g、DBP吸収量:114ml/100g)、東海カーボン株式会社製、商品名「シースト6」
*6 カーボンブラック-D:HAF(N2SA:79m2/g、DBP吸収量:101ml/100g)、東海カーボン株式会社製、商品名「シースト3」
*7 共架橋剤: トリアリルイソシアヌレート(TAIC)、日本化成株式会社製、商品名「タイク」(登録商標)
*8 有機過酸化物: 2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ジ(tert-ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキサン、日油株式会社製、商品名「パーヘキサ25B40」
*9 アルキルアミン:ステアリルアミン、花王(株)社製、商品名「ファーミン 86T」
従来より慣用されているブチル配合ゴム組成物と、実施例A1及びB1のフッ素ゴム組成物とを用いて、タイヤ加硫用ブラダーおよびタイヤ成型用ブラダーをそれぞれ作製した。
得られたタイヤ加硫用ブラダーを用いて、タイヤサイズPSR215/60R15.5のタイヤの加硫を、ブラダー表面及び生タイヤ内面に離型剤を塗布することなく加硫時間15分でブラダーがパンクするまで実施し、その使用寿命(加硫回数)につき評価した。また、タイヤ成型用ブラダーについては、同様に一般的な乗用車用タイヤを用いて、成型可能本数を評価した。ただし、従来より慣用されているブチル配合ゴム組成物を用いたタイヤ加硫用ブラダーについては、ブラダー表面及び生タイヤ内面に離型剤を塗布した。
また、タイヤ成型用ブラダーの成型可能本数については、従来のゴム組成物を用いたブラダーで3000本であったのに対し、実施例A1、B1のフッ素ゴム組成物を用いたブラダーでは10000本となった。
Claims (8)
- フッ素ゴムを含有するゴム成分及びカーボンブラックを含んでなり、
前記フッ素ゴムが、テトラフルオロエチレン、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、ペンタフルオロプロピレン、トリフルオロエチレン、クロロトリフルオロエチレン、フッ化ビニル、パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル及びプロピレンから選ばれる少なくとも1種の単量体とフッ化ビニリデンとの共重合体、テトラフルオロエチレン/パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル共重合体並びにテトラフルオロエチレン/プロピレン共重合体から選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、
前記ゴム成分に前記カーボンブラックを配合する混練工程(A)における混練機のローターチップ先端の平均せん断速度が100(1/秒)以上、混練最高温度Tmが120℃以上200℃以下であり、
ラバープロセスアナライザ(RPA)による未加硫ゴムでの動的粘弾性試験(測定温度:100℃、測定周波数:1Hz)における動的歪み1%時のせん断弾性率G’(1%)及び動的歪み100%時のせん断弾性率G’(100%)の差δGA’(G’(1%)-G’(100%))が、120kPa以上3000kPa以下であるフッ素ゴム組成物。 - さらに加硫系配合剤を含み、
ラバープロセスアナライザ(RPA)による加硫ゴムでの動的粘弾性試験(測定温度:60℃、測定周波数:1Hz)における動的歪み1%時のせん断弾性率G’(1%)及び動的歪み10%時のせん断弾性率G’(10%)の差δGB’(G’(1%)-G’(10%))が、200kPa以上10000kPa以下である請求項1に記載のフッ素ゴム組成物。 - 加硫後の、25℃における引張強さが10MPa以上50MPa以下、切断時伸びが400%以上800%以下であり、160℃における引張強さが1MPa以上20MPa以下、切断時伸びが150%以上500%以下である請求項1または2に記載のフッ素ゴム組成物。
- 加硫後の、25℃における引裂強さが20N/mm以上60N/mm以下であり、160℃における引裂強さが3N/mm以上30N/mm以下である請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のフッ素ゴム組成物。
- 前記カーボンブラックの配合量が、ゴム成分100質量部に対して10質量部以上50質量部以下である請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のフッ素ゴム組成物。
- 前記加硫系配合剤が有機過酸化物を含み、該有機過酸化物がジアルキルパーオキサイドである請求項2~5のいずれかに記載のフッ素ゴム組成物。
- 前記加硫系配合剤が共架橋剤を含み、該共架橋剤がトリアリルイソシアヌレートである請求項2~6のいずれかに記載のフッ素ゴム組成物。
- 請求項1~7に記載のフッ素ゴム組成物を用いて製造されるタイヤ製造用ブラダー。
