Claims (10)
- 車両内の側部にてカーテン状に展開し、当該車両内の乗員を保護するエアバッグ装置において、
膨張ガスを発生するガス発生器と;
前記ガス発生器から供給されるガスによって膨張展開するエアバッグとを備え、
前記エアバッグは、収容状態において長尺状に圧縮され、当該長尺状のエアバッグの端部を長手方向に沿って折り返され、これによって折り返されていないエアバッグ主部と、前記折り返された折返し端部とが形成され、
当該装置の作動時に、前記エアバッグの前記折返し端部が車外側に向かって展開するのを規制する規制部材を備えたことを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。 - 前記エアバッグの折返し端部は前記エアバッグ主部の下側に折り返されており、

- 前記規制部材が前記エアバッグ主部の上面付近で当該エアバッグと連結されていることを特徴とする請求項2,3,4又は5に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記規制部材の一部にスリットが設けられ、前記エアバッグ主部に設けられたタブが前記スリットを貫通することによって、当該規制部材と前記エアバッグとが連結されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記規制部材は、他の部分よりも容易に延伸可能な延伸領域を有することを特徴とする請求項1,2,3,4,5,6又は7に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記延伸領域は、前記規制部材に設けられたスリットであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のエアバッグ装置。
- 前記延伸領域は、他の部分より厚みの小さな薄肉領域であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のエアバッグ装置。
