Definitions
- the present invention relates to a flavor-containing material for cigarette, a method for producing the same, and a cigarette.
- a method of adding a fragrance component such as menthol to the tobacco in a solution state is employed.
- This method has the advantage that it can be easily added to tobacco cuts by spraying a fragrance solution.
- increasing the amount of flavor added to release a sufficient scent during smoking increases the amount of solvent.
- fragrance solution is added, components containing pigments and the like are extracted from the cigarette cut with a solvent and tend to cause “stains” on the cigarette paper.
- flavor components such as a menthol, have volatility, there exists a fault that a fragrance
- An object of the present invention is to provide a flavor-containing material for cigarette in which a flavor is coated with a polysaccharide without adding a gelling agent such as metal chloride.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a flavor-containing material for cigarette having a high flavor content.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a flavor-containing material for cigarette that does not require an operation such as crushing a capsule when smoking.
- a fragrance-containing material for cigarette wherein the fragrance is coated with a polysaccharide gel containing no gelling agent.
- FIG. 1 is a graph showing aroma retention resistance in storage over time under normal environmental conditions.
- FIG. 2 is a graph showing the incense retention resistance in the storage process under accelerated environmental conditions.
- the flavor-containing material for cigarette according to the present invention is characterized in that the flavor is coated with a polysaccharide gel not containing a gelling agent.
- fragrance various fragrances can be used.
- l-menthol can be used.
- the flavor-containing material for cigarette according to the present invention does not contain a gelling agent such as metal chloride, and for example, does not cause undesirable decomposition products of chloride in mainstream smoke during smoking.
- the present inventors sufficiently kneaded and emulsified fragrance and polysaccharide in a heated aqueous solution, and the emulsified state in which the fragrance is coated with the gelled polysaccharide and present in the aqueous solution is during preparation of the fragrance-containing material. It has been found effective to be maintained. That is, in a perfume-containing material that can be sufficiently kneaded and emulsified to maintain the emulsified state, a high perfume content is finally obtained.
- the fragrance-containing material of the present invention can contain 18% by weight or more of fragrance, preferably 60% or more, more preferably 70% or more.
- the polysaccharide capable of maintaining the emulsified state as described above is preferably a single component system of carrageenan, agar, gellan gum, tamarind gum, psyllium seed gum or konjac glucomannan, or carrageenan, locust bean gum, guar gum, agar, A composite system combining two or more components selected from the group consisting of gellan gum, tamarind gum, xanthan gum, tara gum, konjac glucomannan, starch, cassia gum and psyllium seed gum. In this emulsification, it is preferable to use a commonly used emulsifier such as lecithin.
- a commonly used emulsifier such as lecithin.
- a sheet can be prepared by casting a fragrance-containing material prepared by kneading and emulsifying a fragrance and a polysaccharide in an aqueous solution onto a substrate and drying. This perfume-containing material sheet can be chopped and added to the tobacco cut.
- the fragrance-containing material can be kneaded and emulsified, and added to tobacco cuts or cigarette wrapping paper in a slurry state.
- the cigarette to which the fragrance-containing material for cigarette of the present invention is added has a higher fragrance resistance than ordinary menthol cigarette because the fragrance is coated with a polysaccharide. For this reason, even when the charcoal filter is attached, it is possible to have an incense retention resistance without any problem.
- the flavor-containing material for cigarette of the present invention is (I) mixing a polysaccharide and water and heating to prepare an aqueous solution of the polysaccharide; (Ii) It can be prepared by a method comprising a step of adding a fragrance and an emulsifier to the aqueous solution and kneading and emulsifying.
- the polysaccharide and water are mixed and heated once to give the polysaccharide the property of gelling when allowed to cool.
- the heating temperature is preferably 60 to 90 ° C.
- the following can be cited as the effect of heating. Increase the solubility of gelled polysaccharides in water. Moreover, the physical property which gelatinizes at the time of standing to cool is given to polysaccharide. Moreover, the fragrance
- a fragrance and an emulsifier are added to the aqueous polysaccharide solution and kneaded and emulsified.
- various fragrances can be used as described above.
- l-menthol can be used.
- the perfume is incorporated into the aqueous polysaccharide solution of (i) by kneading and exists in an emulsified state. This emulsified state is maintained during preparation as described above, whereby a fragrance-containing material having a high fragrance content can be prepared. That is, a smoking article containing this fragrance-containing material can produce a higher aroma when smoking.
- the fragrance content in the fragrance-containing material is preferably 18% by weight or more, more preferably 60% or more, particularly 70% or more.
- the flavor-containing material for cigarette of the present invention is prepared using the polysaccharides shown below as a coating agent.
- polysaccharides carrageenan extracted from red algae seaweed (also called carrageenin / carrageenan), agar, locust bean gum (carob gum) extracted from tree seeds, guar gum, tara gum, cassia gum, resin Tamarind gum, which is extracted from the seeds of rice, and is a xyloglucan structure, psyllium gum, which is an acidic polysaccharide that is extracted from resin seeds and has side chains such as arabinose, with xylan as the main chain, and a metabolically produced polysaccharide from microorganisms Examples thereof include xanthan gum, gellan gum (also referred to as dielan gum), konjac glucomannan extracted from konjac potato, and starch (including various raw materials and solubility).
- the polysaccharide used in the present invention may be a complex system in which two or more components selected from the group of polysaccharides described above are combined.
- the method for preparing the flavor-containing material for cigarette of the present invention is as follows. First, a polysaccharide (single component system or complex system) is dissolved in water while heating. This aqueous solution is kneaded and emulsified by adding a fragrance and an emulsifier in a liquid state (or a molten state) at the above heating temperature.
