Abstract

Appareil et procédés de production de négatifs tramés de similigravure à demi-teintes (séparations chromatiques) à partir de signaux d'intensité de tonalités continues produits par un lecteur optique (12). Un processeur de signaux numériques (10) traite les valeurs d'intensité de tonalités continues afin de créer des cartes mémoire (18-6, 18-7, 18-8 et 18-10) qui, en combinaison avec un organe de sortie de données numériques (34) (par exemple une imprimante laser ou une photocomposeuse usuelle), produisent les négatifs tramés de similigravure à demi-teintes désirés. Lorsqu'on produit des négatifs tramés à demi-teintes dont l'orientation de trame ne diffère essentiellement pas de 90° (par exemple, les orientations de trame de 90°, 105° et 75° relatives aux séparations chromatiques jaune, cyan et magenta en quadrichromie à demi-teintes habituelle), le processeur de signaux numériques (10) utilise une matrice de juxtaposition de points de couleur différente (Fig. 4), destinée à produire chaque point de simili dans le lignage de trame désiré du négatif tramé à demi-teintes correspondant.
