Przedmiotem wynalazku jest dźwig i sposób montażu maszyny napędowej (20) dźwigu. Dźwig ma kabinę i przeciwciężar w szybie. Maszyna napędowa (20) jest zamontowana na poprzecznicy (8) albo na stropie szybu. Maszyna napędowa (20) ma dwie oddalone od siebie strefy pędne (3, 3'). Strefy pędne (3, 3') są przy tym zintegrowane jednoczęściowo w wale napędzającym (4) i są bezpośrednio w nim zawarte.
