Abstract

En el presente documento se proporcionan métodos de tratamiento o mejora de hipercolemia o una enfermedad hepática colestásica mediante la administración a un individuo que lo necesita de una cantidad terapéuticamente eficaz de un inhibidor del transportador de ácidos biliares dependiente de sodio apical (ASBTI) o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo. También se proporcionan métodos para tratar o mejorar una enfermedad hepática, disminuir los niveles de ácidos biliares séricos o ácidos biliares hepáticos, tratar o mejorar el prurito, reducir las enzimas hepáticas o reducir la bilirrubina que comprenden administrar a un individuo que lo necesita una cantidad terapéuticamente eficaz de ASBTT o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo.
