Abstract

Se proporcionan composiciones nutricionales que contienen carbohidratos para maximizar el rendimiento y métodos para utilizar las mismas. Las composiciones nutricionales proporcionan una composición refrescante y fácil de consumir que proporciona cantidades adecuadas y tipos de nutrición para proveer al cuerpo de un combustible apropiado para el desempeño. El desempeño puede ser, por ejemplo, atlético, académico, u otros desempeños que requieran resistencia física y/o lucidez mental. En una modalidad, las composiciones nutricionales son composiciones de puré que incluyen dextrosa, polímeros de dextrosa, fructosa cristalina, jarabe de maíz, y/o otros jarabes de cereal/nuez que incluyen jarabe de arroz, jarabe de agave, y/o jarabe de palma, y al menos una fruta y/o vegetal hechos puré. Las composiciones tienen una fracción de carbohidrato que tiene glucosa y fructosa en una proporción de peso de aproximadamente 1:1 a aproximadamente 5:1.
