Abstract

Se proporciona una composición de catalizador para la polimerización de propileno. La composición de catalizador incluye una o más composiciones de procatalizador de Ziegler-Natta teniendo uno o más compuestos de metal de transición y uno o más ésteres de donadores de electrones internos de ácido dicarboxílico aromático, uno o más cocatalizadores conteniendo aluminio y un agente de control de selectividad (SCA). El SCA es una mezcla de un agente limitante de actividad y una composición de silano. La composición de catalizador tiene una proporción molar de aluminio a SCA total de 0.5:1 hasta 4:1. Esta proporción de aluminio/SCA mejora la productividad de polimerización y la velocidad de producción de polímero. La composición de catalizador es de auto-extinción.
