Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Polymerisation eines Olefins, um ein Olefinpolymer mit einer breiten Molekularverteilung in hoher Ausbeute herzustellen, und sie betrifft einen Katalysator zur Polymerisation eines Olefins, welcher in diesem Verfahren verwendet wird.
- Viele Vorschläge wurden bezüglich der Herstellung einer festen Katalysatorkomponente, die Magnesium, Titan, Halogen und einen Elektronendonor als wesentliche Bestandteile enthält, gemacht. Es ist bekannt, daß bei der Verwendung einer solchen Katalysatorkomponente bei der Polymerisation eines α-Olefins mit mindestens 3 Kohlenstoffatomen ein hoch stereoreguläres Polymer in hoher Ausbeute hergestellt werden kann.
- Im allgemeinen besitzen Olefinpolymere, die unter Verwendung einer aktiven Katalysatorkomponente des MgCl&sub2;-Träger-Typs erhalten werden, eine enge Molekulargewichtsverteilung und ausgezeichnete mechanische Eigenschaften. Allerdings sind für einige Anwendungen Olefinpolymere erwünscht, die während des Schmelzens leicht fließen und eine gewisse Verformbarkeit aufweisen.
- Im Stand der Technik wurden Versuche unternommen, um die Formbarkeit durch Herstellung von Polymeren mit einer breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung durch die Herstellung von Olefinen mit unterschiedlichen Molekulargewichten in einer Vielzahl von Polymerisationsreaktoren zu verbessern. Dieses Verfahren kann nicht in einem einzelnen Polymerisationsreaktor angewandt werden, und die Herstellung eines Olefinpolymeren mit einer breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung in einer Vielzahl von Polymerisationsreaktoren ist zeitaufwendig. Es war deshalb erwünscht, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Olefinpolymeren mit einer breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung mittels eines Polymerisationsvorganges in einer einzelnen Stufe zu entwickeln.
- Die Erfinder der vorliegenden Anwendung haben intensive Untersuchungen durchgeführt, um ein Olefinpolymer mit einer breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung durch einen Polymerisationsvorgang in einer einzelnen Stufe zu erhalten, und sie haben herausgefunden, daß ein Olefin(co)polymer mit einer breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung unter Verwendung mindestens zweier spezifischer Elektronendonoren erhalten werden kann, und diese Erkenntnis hat zu der folgenden Erfindung geführt.
- Gemäß der Erfindung wird ein Katalysator zur Verwendung bei der Polymerisation eines Olefins vorgesehen, wobei der Katalysator gebildet ist aus:
- [A] einer festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente, die Magnesium, Titan, Halogen und einen Elektronendonator als wesentliche Bestandteile enthält,
- [B] einer Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente, und
- [C] einer Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente, die mindestens zwei Elektronendonatoren enthält, einschließlich eines Elektronendonators (1) und eines Elektronendonators (2), wobei der Elektronendonator (1) die Formel besitzt
- R¹&sub2;Si(OR²)&sub2;
- worin R¹ eine Alkyl, Cycloalkyl- oder Cycloalkenylgruppe ist, worin das an Si angrenzende Kohlenstoffatom sekundär oder tertiär ist, und R² eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe bedeutet, und wobei der Elektronendonator (2) die folgende Formel besitzt
- R³nSi(OR²)4-n
- worin 0 ≤ n < 4 ist, jeder R³-Rest eine Alkyl-, Alkenyl- oder Aralkylgruppe bedeutet und R² eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe bedeutet, mit der Maßgabe, daß wenn n 2 ist, mindestens eine der R³-Gruppen eine ist, in welcher das an Si angrenzende Kohlenstoffatom primär ist,
- wobei der Elektronendonator (1) und der Elektronendonator (2) dergestalt sind, daß
- die MFR (a) des Homopolypropylens, das durch das Polymerisieren von Propylen in Gegenwart eines aus der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A], der Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] und des Elektronendonators (1) gebildeten Katalysators erhalten wurde, und die MFR (b) des Homopolypropylens, das unter den gleichen Polymerisationsbedingungen, mit Ausnahme der Verwendung des Elektronendonators (2) anstelle des Elektronendonators (1), erhalten wurde, die folgende Beziehung erfüllen:
- log[MFR(b)/MFR(a)] ≥ 1,5.
- Die Erfindung stellt ebenfalls ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Olefinpolymeren bereit, welches die Polymerisation mindestens eines Olefins in Gegenwart eines Katalysators der Erfindung umfaßt.
- Da das Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung einen Katalysator verwendet, der aus der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A], der Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] und der Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C], die die zwei spezifischen Elektronendonatoren (1) und (2) enthält, gebildet ist, kann ein Olefinpolymer mit einer breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung und einer ausgezeichneten Stereoregalarität in hoher Ausbeute hergestellt werden. Ferner nimmt die Polymerisationsaktivität des Katalysators nicht leicht ab, und unter Verwendung diese Katalysators kann die Schmelzflußrate des Olefinpolymeren leicht eingestellt werden.
- Das Polymerisationsverfahren und der Olefinpolymerisationskatalysator der Erfindung wird untenstehend genauer beschrieben.
- Zu Zeiten kann der Ausdruck "Polymerisation", wie er hierin verwendet wird, genauso für eine Copolymerisation stehen, und der Ausdruck "Polymer", wie er hierin verwendet wird, bezeichnet ebenfalls ein "Copolymer".
- Die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] kann durch In-Kontakt-bringen einer Magnesiumverbindung, einer Titanverbindung und eines Elektronendonatoren hergestellt werden.
- Beispiele der bei der Herstellung der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] verwendeten Titanverbindung sind vierwertige Titanverbindungen der folgenden Formel
- Ti(ORg)X4-g
- worin R eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe ist, X für ein Halogenatom steht und g zwischen 0 und 4 liegt.
- Speziellere Beispiele schließen Titantetrahalogenide wie TiCl&sub4;, TiBr&sub4; und TiI&sub4;; Alkoxytitantrihalogenide wie Ti(OCH&sub3;)Cl&sub3;, Ti(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)Cl&sub3;, Ti(O n-C&sub4;H&sub9;)Cl&sub3;, Ti(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)Br&sub3; und Ti(O iso-C&sub4;H&sub9;)Br&sub3;; Dialkoxytitandihalogenide wie Ti(OCH&sub3;)&sub2;Cl&sub2;, Ti(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub2;Cl&sub2;, Ti(O n-C&sub4;H&sub9;)&sub2;Cl&sub2; und Ti(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub2;Br&sub2;; Trialkoxytitanmonohalogenide wie Ti(OCH&sub3;)&sub3;Cl, Ti(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub3;Cl, Ti(O n-C&sub4;H&sub9;)&sub3;Cl, Ti(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub3;Br und Tetraalkoxytitan wie Ti(OCH&sub3;)&sub4;, Ti(OC&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub4; und Ti(O n-C&sub4;H&sub9;)&sub4; ein.
- Von diesen sind die halogenhaltigen Titanverbindungen, insbesondere Titantetrahalogenide, bevorzugt. Besonders bevorzugt ist Titantetrachlorid. Die Titanverbindungen können einzeln oder in Kombination miteinander verwendet werden. Die Titanverbindung kann mittels einer Kohlenwasserstoffverbindung oder einer halogenierten Kohlenwasserstoffverbindung verdünnt werden.
- Die bei der Herstellung der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] zu verwendende Magnesiumverbindung kann eine Magnesiumverbindung mit Reduzierbarkeit und eine Magnesiumverbindung ohne Reduzierbarkeit einschließen.
- Die Reduzierbarkeit aufweisenden Magnesiumverbindungen können z. B. Magnesiumverbindungen sein mit einer Magnesium-Kohlenstoff-Bindung oder einer Magnesium- Wasserstoff-Bindung. Spezifische Beispiele solcher reduzierbaren Magnesiumverbindungen schließen Dimethylmagnesium, Diethylmagnesium, Dipropylmagnesium, Dibutylmagnesium, Diamylmagnesium, Dihexylmagnesium, Didecylmagnesium, Magnesiumethylchlorid, Magnesiumpropylchlorid, Magnesiumbutylchlorid, Magnesiumhexylchlorid, Magnesiumamylchlorid, Butylethoxymagnesium, Ethylbutylmagnesium und Butylmagnesiumhalogenide ein. Diese Magnesiumverbindungen können allein verwendet werden, oder sie können Komplexe mit den zu beschreibenden Organoaluminiumverbindungen bilden. Diese Magnesiumverbindungen können flüssig oder fest sein.
- Spezifische Beispiele der Magnesiumverbindungen ohne Reduzierbarkeit schließen Magnesiumhalogenide wie Magnesiumchlorid, Magnesiumbromid, Magnesiumiodid und Magnesiumfluorid; Alkoxymagnesiumhalogenide wie Magnesiummethoxychlorid, Magnesiumethoxychlorid, Magnesiumisopropoxychlorid, Magnesiumphenoxychlorid und Magnesiummethylphenoxychlorid, Alkoxymagnesium wie Ethoxymagnesium, Isopropoxymagnesium, Butoxymagnesium, n-Octoxymagnesium und 2-Ethylhexoxymagnesium; Aryloxymagnesium wie Phenoxymagnesium und Dimethylphenoxymagnesium; und Magnesiumcarboxylate wie Magnesiumlaurat und Magnesiumstearat ein.
- Diese nichtreduzierbaren Magnesiumverbindungen können Verbindungen sein, die von den Magnesiumverbindungen mit Reduzierbarkeit abgeleitet sind, oder sie können Verbindungen sein die aus der Zeit der Herstellung der Katalysatorkomponente herrühren. Die Magnesiumverbindungen ohne Reduzierbarkeit können von den Verbindungen mit Reduzierbarkeit z. B. durch den Kontakt der Magnesiumverbindungen mit Reduzierbarkeit mit Polysiloxanverbindungen, halogenhaltigen Silanverbindungen, halogenhaltigen Aluminiumverbindungen, Estern, Alkoholen etc. herrühren.
- In Ergänzung zu den Magnesiumverbindungen mit Reduzierbarkeit und den Magnesiumverbindungen ohne Reduzierbarkeit sind Komplexe der obenstehenden Magnesiumverbindungen mit anderen Metallen oder Mischungen davon mit anderen Metallverbindungen zu nennen. Sie können ebenfalls Mischungen von zwei oder mehreren Typen der obenstehenden Verbindungen sein.
- Bei der vorliegenden Erfindung sind Magnesiumverbindungen ohne Reduzierbarkeit bevorzugt. Besonders bevorzugt sind halogenhaltige Magnesiumverbindungen. Unter diesen sind Magnesiumchlorid, Alkoxymagnesiumchloride und Aryloxymagnesiumchloride besonders bevorzugt.
- Bei der Herstellung der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] bei dieser Erfindung wird ein Elektronendonator verwendet. Beispiele solcher Elektronendonatoren sind sauerstoffhaltige Elektronendonatoren wie Alkohole, Phenole, Ketone, Aldehyde, Carbonsäuren, Ester organischer oder anorganischer Oxide, Ether, Säureamide und Säureanhydride; stickstoffhaltige Elektronendonatoren wie Ammoniak, Amine, Nitrile und Isocyanate. Spezifischere Beispiele schließen Alkohole mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen wie Methanol, Ethanol, Propanol, Pentanol, Hexanol, Octanol, 2-Ethylhexanol, Dodecanol, Octadecylalkohol, Benzylalkohol, Phenylethylalkohol, Cumylalkohol und lsopropylbenzylalkohol; Phenole mit 6 bis 25 Kohlenstoffatomen, die eine Alkylgruppe enthalten können, wie Phenol, Kresol, Xylenol, Ethylphenol, Propylphenol, Cumylphenol, Nonylphenol und Naphthol; Ketone mit 3 bis 15 Kohlenstoffatomen wie Aceton, Methylethylketon, Methylisobutylketon, Acetophenon und Benzophenon; Aldehyde mit 2 bis 15 Kohlenstoffatomen wie Acetaldehyd, Propionaldehyd, Octylaldehyd, Benzaldehyd, Tolualdehyd und Naphthaldehyd, organische Säureester mit 2 bis 30 Kohlenstoffatomen, einschließlich der erwünschterweise in der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente eingeschlossenen Ester, wie Methylformiat, Ethylformiat, Vinylacetat, Propylacetat, Octylacetat, Cyclohexylacetat, Ethylpropionat, Methylbutyrat, Ethylvalerat, Ethylstearat, Methylchloracetat, Ethyldichloracetat, Methylmethacrylat, Ethylcrotonat, Dibutylmaleat, Diethylbutylmalonat, Diethyldibutylmalonat, Ethylcyclohexancarboxylat, Diethyl-1,2- cyclohexandicarboxylat, Di(2-ethylhexyl)-1,2-cyclohexandicarboxylat, Methylbenzoat, Ethylbenzoat, Propylbenzoat, Butylbenzoat, Octylbenzoat, Cyclohexylbenzoat, Phenylbenzoat, Benzylbenzoat, Methyltoluat, Ethyltoluat, Amyltoluat, Ethylethylbenzoat, Methylanisat, Ethylanisat, Ethylethoxybenzoat, Dimethylphtalat, Diethylphtalat, Dibutylphtalat, Dioctylphtalat, γ-Butyrolacton, δ-Valerolacton, Cumarin, Phtalid und Ethylencarbonat; anorganische Säureester wie Ethylsilicat und Butylsilicat; Säurehalogenide mit 2 bis 15 Kohlenstoffatomen wie Acetylchlorid, Benzoylchlorid, Toluylchlorid, Anisoylchlorid und Phtaloyldichlorid; Ether mit 2 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen wie Methylether, Ethylether, Isopropylether, Butylether, Amylether, Tetrahydrofuran, Anisol und Diphenylether; Säureamide wie Acetamid, Benzamid und Toluamid; Säureanhydride wie Benzoesäureanhydrid und Phtalsäureanhydrid; Amine wie Methylamin, Ethylamin, Triethylamin, Tributylamin, Piperidin, Tribenzylamin, Anilin, Pyridin, Picolin und Tetramethylethylendiamin; und Nitrile wie Acetonitril, Benzonitril und Trinitril ein.
- Organische Siliciumverbmdungen der folgenden allgemeinen Formel (I)

- worin R und R' für eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe stehen und 0 < n < 4 ist, können ebenfalls als Elektronendonator verwendet werden.

- Unter diesen sind Ethyltriethoxysilan, n-Propyltriethoxysilan, t-Butyltriethoxysilan, Vinyltriethoxysilan, Phenyltriethoxysilan, Vinyltributoxysilan, Diphenyldimethoxysilan, Phenylmethyldimethoxysilan, Bis-p-tolyldimethoxysilan, p-Tolylmethyldimethoxysilan, Dicyclohexyldimethoxysilan, Cyclohexylmethyldimethoxysilan, 2-Norbornantriethoxysilan, 2-Norbornanmethyldimethoxysilan und Diphenyldiethoxysilan bevorzugt.
- Mindestens zwei dieser Elektronendonatoren können verwendet werden.
- Elektronendonatoren, welche wünschenswerterweise in der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente eingeschlossen sind, sind Ester. Bevorzugt sind jene, die Gerüste der folgenden allgemeinen Formeln aufweisen:
- worin R¹ für eine substituierte oder nichtsubstituierte Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe steht; R², R&sup5; oder R&sup6; jeweils für ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine substituierte oder nichtsubstitiiierte Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe steht; R³ und R&sup4; ein Wasserstoffatom oder ein substituiertes oder nichtsubstituiertes Kohlenwasserstoffatom bedeuten, wobei vorzugsweise einer von diesen eine substituierte oder nichtsubstituierte Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe ist; und R³ und R&sup4; miteinander verbunden sein können. Die substituierten Kohlenwasserstoffe für R¹ bis R&sup5; können Heteroatome wie N, O oder S enthalten, wie C-O-C, COOR, COOH, OH, SO&sub3;H, -C-N-C- oder NH&sub2;.
- Besonders bevorzugt sind die Ester von Dicarbonsäuren mit einer Alkylgruppe mit mindestens 2 Kohlenstoffatomen.
- Spezifische Beispiele von Polycarbonsäureestern schließen folgende ein: aliphatische Polycarbonsäureester wie Diethylsuccinat, Dibutylsuccinat, Diethylmethylsuccinat, Diisobutyl-α-methylglutarat, Dibutylmethylmalonat, Diethylmalonat, Diethylethylmalonat, Diethylisopropylmalonat, Diethylbutylmalonat, Diethylphenylmalonat, Diethyldiethylmalonat, Diethylallylmalonat, Diethyldiisobutylmalonat, Diethyl-di-nbutylmalonat, Dimethylmaleat, Monooctylmaleat, Dioctylmaleat, Dibutylmaleat, Dibutylbutylmaleat, Diethylbutylmaleat, Diisopropyl-β-methylglutarat, Diallylethylsuccinat, Di-2-ethylhexylfumarat, Diethylitaconat, Dibutylitaconat, Dioctylcitraconat und Dimethylcitraconat; alicyclische Polycarbonsäureester wie Diethyl-1,2-cyclohexancarboxylat, Diisobutyl-1,2-cyclohexancarboxylat, Diethyltetrahydrophtalat, und Diethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hepten-2,3-dicarboxylat; aromatische Polycarbonsäureester wie Monoethylphtalat, Diimethylphtalat, Methylethylphtalat, Monoisobutylphtalat, Mono-n- butylphtalat, Diethylphtalat, Ethylisobutylphtalat, Ethyl-n-butylphtalat, Di-n-propylphtalat, Diisopropylphtalat, Di-n-butylphtalat, Diisobutylphtalat, Di-n-heptylphtalat, Di- 2-ethylhexylphtalat, Di-n-octylphtalat, Dineopentylphtalat, Didecylphtalat, Benzylbutylphtalat, Diphenylphtalat, Diethylnaphthalindicarboxylat, Dibutylnaphthalindicarboxylat, Triethyltrimellithat und Dibutyltrimellithat; und Ester von heterocyclischen Polycarbonsäureestern wie 3,4-Furandicarbonsäure.
- Spezifische Beispiele der Polyhydroxylester sind 1,2-Diacetoxybenzol, 1-Methyl-2,3- diacetoxybenzol, 2,3-Diacetoxynaphthalin, Ethylenglycoldipivalat und Butandiolpivalat.
- Spezifische Beispiele hydroxysubstituierter Carbonsäuren schließen Benzoylsalicylat, Acetylisobutylsalicylat und Acetylmethylsalicylat ein.
- Neben den obenstehenden Estern können langkettige Dicarbonsäureester wie Diethyladipat, Diisobutyladipat, Diisopropylsebacat, Di-n-octylsebacat und Di-2-ethylhexylsebacat als der Polycarbonsäureester, der in der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente getragen werden kann, verwendet werden.
- Als polyfunktionelle Ester sind die Verbindungen bevorzugt, die Gerüste der allgemeinen Formeln besitzen. Bevorzugter sind Ester der Phtalsäure, Maleinsäure und der substituierten Malonsäure mit Alkoholen mit mindestens 2 Kohlenstoffatomen. Besonders bevorzugt sind die Ester der Phtalsäure mit Alkoholen mit mindestens 2 Kohlenstoffatomen.
- Andere Elektronendonatoren, die auf der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente getragen werden können, sind Monocarbonsäureester der Formel

- worin R und R' für eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe stehen, wobei mindestens eine eine verzweigte Kette (einschließlich alicyclisch) oder eine Kettengruppe ist.
- Spezifische Beispiele für R und R' können (CH&sub3;)&sub2;CH-, C&sub2;H&sub5;CH(CH&sub3;)-, (CH&sub3;)&sub2;CHCH&sub2;-, (CH&sub3;)&sub3;C-, C&sub2;H&sub5;CH(CH&sub3;)CH&sub2;-,
- Wenn eine von R und R' einer der obenstehenden Gruppen entspricht, kann die andere die obenstehende Gruppe scin, oder eine andere Gruppe wie geradkettige oder ringartige Gruppe.
- Spezifische Beispiele schließen Monoester der Dimethylessigsäure, Trimethylessigsäure, α-Methylbuttersäure, β-Methylbuttersäure, Methacrylsäure und Benzoylessigsäure und Monocarboxylate von Alkoholen wie Isopropanol, Isobutylalkohol und tert-Butylalkohol ein.
- Carbonatester können ebenfalls als Elektronendonatoren gewählt werden. Spezifische Beispiele schließen Diethylcarbonat, Ethylencarbonat, Diisopropylcarbonat, Phenylethylcarbonat und Diphenylcarbonat ein.
- Es ist nicht immer notwendig, diese Verbindungen als Ausgangmaterialien bei der Unterstützung dieser Elektronendonatoren zu verwenden, und es können Verbindungen, welche zu diesen Verbindungen im Verlauf der Herstellung der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente umgewandelt werden können, verwendet werden.
- Andere Elektronendonatoren können in der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente vorliegen. Wenn allerdings die Menge zu groß ist, wird eine nachteilige Wirkung resultieren. Somit sollte die Menge eines anderen Elektronendonators auf eine geringe Menge beschränkt sein.
- Bei der vorliegenden Erfindung kann die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] durch das In-Kontakt-bringen der Magnesiumverbindung (oder von metallischem Magnesium), des Elektronendonators und der Titanverbindung hergestellt werden. Zu diesem Zweck kann jedes beliebige bekannte Verfahren zur Herstellung einer hochaktiven Titan- Katalysatorkomponente aus einer Magnesiumverbindung, einer Titanverbindung und einem Elektronendonator angewandt werden. Die obenstehenden Bestandteile können in Gegenwart von anderen Reaktionsreagentien wie Silicium, Phosphor oder Aluminium kontaktiert werden.
- Mehrere Beispiele des Verfahrens der Herstellung der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] werden kurz beschrieben werden.
- (1) Eine Magnesiumverbindung oder ein Komplex der Magnesiumverbindung mit einem Elektronendonator wird mit einer Titanverbindung in flüssiger Phase umgesetzt. Die Reaktion kann in Gegenwart eines Pulverisationshilfsmittels durchgeführt werden. Bei der Durchführung der obenstehenden Reaktion kann eine feste Verbindung pulverisiert werden.
- (2) Eine flüssige Magnesiumverbindung ohne Reduzierbarkeit wird mit einer flüssigen Titanverbindung in Gegenwart eines Elektronendonators umgesetzt, um einen festen Titankomplex niederzuschlagen.
- (3) Eine Titanverbindung wird weiter mit dem in (2) erhaltenen Reaktionsprodukt umgesetzt.
- (4) Ein Elektronendonator und eine Titanverbindung werden weiter mit dem in (1) oder (2) erhaltenen Reaktionsprodukt umgesetzt.
- (5) Eine Magnesiumverbindung oder ein Komplex aus der Magnesiumverbindung und einem Elektronendonator wird in Gegenwart einer Titanverbindung pulverisiert. Das erhaltene feste Produkt wird mit Halogen, einer halogenhaltigen Verbindung oder einem aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoff behandelt. Bei diesem Verfahren kann die Magnesiumverbindung oder der Komplex aus der Magnesiumverbindung und dem Elektronendonator in Gegenwart eines Pulverisationshilfsstoffes pulverisiert werden. Oder eine Magnesiumverbindung oder der Komplex der Magnesiumverbindung und des Elektronendonators wird in Gegenwart einer Titanverbindung pulverisiert, und das Produkt kann mit einem Reaktionshilfsstoff vorbehandelt werden und dann mit Halogen, etc. behandelt werden. Ein Beispiel des Reaktionshilfsstoffes kann eine Organoaluminiumverbindung und eine halogenhaltige Siliciumverbindung sein.
- (6) Die jeweils in (1) bis (4) erhaltene Verbindung wird mit Halogen oder einer Halogenverbindung oder einem aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoff behandelt.
- (7) Ein Reaktionsprodukt, das durch In-Kontakt-bringen eines Metalloxids, eines Dihydrocarbylmagnesiums und eines halogenhaltigen Alkohols erhalten wurde, wird mit einem Elektronendonator und einer Titanverbindung in Kontakt gebracht.
- (8) Eine Magnesiumverbindung, wie ein Magnesiumsalz einer organischen Säure, eine Alkoxymagnesiumverbindung oder ein Aryloxymagnesium wird mit einem Elektronendonator, einer Titanverbindung und/oder einem halogenhaltigen Kohlenwasserstoff umgesetzt.
- Von den Verfahren der Herstellung des festen Titan-Katalysators [A], die in (1) bis (8) angeführt sind, sind das Verfahren unter Anwendung eines flüssigen Titanhalogenids zur Zeit der Herstellung des Katalysators und das Verfahren, bei dem nach oder während der Verwendung einer Titanverbindung ein halogenierter Kohlenwasserstoff verwendet wird, bevorzugt.
- Die Mengen der bei der Herstellung der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] verwendeten einzelnen Bestandteile unterscheiden sich in Abhängigkeit des Verfahrens der Herstellung, und sie können nicht allgemein bestinmit werden. Z. B. werden der Elektronendonator und die Titanverbindung in einer Menge von 0,01 bis 5 Mol, vorzugsweise 0,05 bis 2 Mol, bzw. in einer Menge von 0,01 bis 500 Mol, vorzugsweise 0,05 bis 300 Mol, pro Mol der Magnesiumverbindung eingesetzt.
- Die derart hergestellt feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] enthält Magnesium, Titan, Halogen und einen Elektronendonator als wesentliche Bestandteile.
- In der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] beträgt das Halogen/Titan-Atomverhältnis normalerweise 4 bis 200, vorzugsweise 5 bis 100. Das Elektronendonator/Titan-Molverhältnis beträgt normalerweise 0,1 bis 10, vorzugsweise 0,2 bis etwa 6. Das Magnesium/Titan-Atomverhältnis beträgt normalerweise 1 bis 100, vorzugsweise 2 bis 50.
- Im Vergleich mit herkömmlichem Magnesiumhalogenld enthält die feste Titankomponente [A] Magnesiumhalogenid mit einer kleineren Kristallgröße, und ihre spezifische Oberfläche beträgt für gewöhnlich mindestens 50 m²/g, vorzugsweise 60 bis 1000 m²/g, weiter bevorzugt 100 bis 800 m²/g. Da die obenstehenden Bestandteile einen integralen Körper aufbauen unter Bildung der festen Titankomponente [A], wird ihre Zusaminensetzung nicht geändert, selbst wenn sie mit Hexan gewaschen wird.
- Die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] kann allein angewandt werden, oder nachdem sie mit einer anorganischen oder organischen Verbindung, z. B. einer Siliciumverbindung, einer Aluiminiumverbindung oder einem Polyolefin, verdünnt wurde. Wenn ein Verdünnungsmittel verwendet wird, zeigt diese Komponente [A] eine hohe Aktivität, selbst wenn ihre spezifische Oberfläche geringer als die oben angegebene ist.
- Die Verfahren zur Herstellung einer solch hochaktiven Titan-Katalysatorkomponente sind z. B. in den offengelegten japanischen Patenveröffentlichungen der folgenden Nummern aufgeführt:

- Verbindungen mit mindestens einer Ahliuni-Kohlenstoff-Bindung im Molekül können als die Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] verwendet werden. Beispiele schließen die folgenden ein:
- (i) Organoaluminiumverbindungen der allgemeinen Formel
- worin R¹ und R² identisch oder unterschiedlich sind und jeweils für eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit noinialerweise 1 bis 15 Kohlenstoffatomen, vorzugsweise 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen, stehen; X ein Halogenatom bedeutet; und 0 < m ≤ 3,0 ≤ n ≤ 3,0 ≤ p < 3 und 0 ≤ q < 3 ist und m+n+p+q=3 ist.
- (ii) Komplex alkylierte Verbindungen von Metallen der Gruppe 1 und Aluminium der allgemeinen Formel

- Spezifische Beispiele der durch (i) angegebenen Aluminiumverbindungen schließen Trialkylaluiminium wie Triethylaluminium und Tributylaluminium; Trialkenylaluminium wie Triisopropenylaluminium; Dialkylaluminiumalkoxide wie Diethylaluminiumethoxid und Dibutylaluminiumethoxid; Alkylaluminiumsesquialkoxide wie Ethlyaluminiumsesquiethoxid und Butylaluminiumsesquibutoxid; partiell alkoxyliertes Alkylaluminium mit einer durchschnittlichen Zusammensetzung der allgemeinen Formel (R¹)2,5Al(OR²)0,5; partiell halogeniertes Alkylaluminium, z.B. Alkylaluminiumdihalogenide wie Ethylaluminiumdichlorid, Propylaluminiumdichlorid und Butylaluminiumdibromid; partiell hydriertes Alkylaluminium, z. B. Alkylaluminiumdihydride wie Ethylaluminiumdihydrid und Propylaluminiumdihydrid; und partiell alkoxyliertes und halogeniertes Alkylaluminium wie Ethylaluminiumethoxychlorid, Butlyaluminiumbutoxychlorid und Ethylaluminimethoxybromid ein.
- Organoaluminiumverbindungen, in denen 2 oder mehrere Alwminiumatome durch ein Sauerstoff- oder Stickstoffatom miteinander verbunden sind, können als Verbindungen, die denen von (i) ähneln, angeführt werden. Beispiele sind (C&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub2;AlOAl(C&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub2;, (C&sub4;H&sub9;)&sub2;AlOM(C&sub4;H&sub9;)&sub2;,
- und Methylaluminoxan.
- Beispiele der Verbindungen der Formel (ii) sind LiAl(C&sub2;H&sub5;)&sub4; und LiAl(C&sub7;H&sub1;&sub5;)&sub4;.
- Unter diesen sind Trialkylaluminium und Alkylaluminium, die sich aus dem Verbinden von mindestens zwei Aluminiumverbindungen ergeben, bevorzugt.
- Als Elektronendonatorkomponente [C] werden mindestens zwei Elektronendonatoren einschließlich des Elektronendonators (1) und des Elektronendonators (2), verwendet.
- Organische Siliciumverbindungen der folgenden Formel werden als Elektronendonor (1) eingesetzt:
- R¹&sub2;Si(OR&sub2;)&sub2;
- in der Formel bedeutet R¹ eine Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl- oder Cycloalkenylgruppe, in der der Si-benachbarte Kohlenstoff sekundär oder tertiär ist. Spezifische Beispiele schließen solche Alkylgruppen wie Isopropyl-, sek-Butyl-, t-Butyl- und t-Amylgruppen; solche Cycloalkylgruppen wie Cyclopentyl- und Cyclohexylgruppen; solche Cycloalkenylgruppen wie die Cyclopentenylgruppe ein. Die Alkyl- und Cycloalkylgruppen sind bevorzugt.
- In der Formel für Elektronendonator (1) bedeutet R² eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe, vorzugsweise eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen, insbesondere bevorzugt mit 1 bis 2 Kohlenstoffatomen.
- Spezifische Beispiele der organischen Siliciumverbindung zur Verwendung als Elektronendonator (1) sind Diisopropyldimethoxysilan, Diisopropyldiethoxysilan, Di-sekbutyldimethoxysilan, Di-t-butyldimethoxysilan, Di-t-amyldimethoxysilan, Dicyclopentyldimethxoysilan und Dicyclohexyldimethoxysilan.
- Organische Siliciumverbindungen der folgenden Formel werden als Elektronendonator (2) eingesetzt:
- R³nSi(OR²)4-n
- worin 0 ≤ n < 4 ist, jedes R³ eine Alkyl-, Alkenyl- oder Aralkylgruppe bedeutet und R² eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe ist, mit der Maßgabe, daß wenn n 2 ist, mindestens eine R³-Gruppe eine ist, in der das an Si angrenzende Kohlenstoffatom primär ist. Spezifische Beispiele solcher R³-Gruppen sind Alkylgruppen wie Ethyl-, n-Propyl- und n- Butylgruppen, Aralkylgruppen wie Cumyl- und Benzylgruppen, und Alkenylgruppen wie eine Vinylgruppe.
- In der Formel für den Elektronendonator (2) steht R² für eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit vorzugsweise 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen, besonders bevorzugt mit 1 bis 2 Kohlenstoffatomen. Spezifische Beispiele der Organosiliciumverbindungen zur Verwendung als Elektronendonator (2), in der n 2 ist, sind Diethyldimethoxysilan, Dipropyldimethoxysilan, Di-n-butyldimethoxysilan, Dibenzyldimethoxysilan, Divinyldiniethoxysilan und β- Phenylethylmethyldiethoxysilan.
- Spezifische Beispiele der organischen Siliciumverbindungen zur Verwendung als Elektronendonatoren (2) schließen folgende ein:
- Trimethylmethoxysilan, Trimethylethoxysilan, Methyltrimettioxysilan, t-Butylmethyldimethoxysilan, t-Butylmethyldiethoxysilan, t-Amylmethyldimethoxysilan, Cyclohexylmethyldimethoxysilan, Cyclohexylmethyldiethoxysilan, Ethyltrimethoxysilan, Ethyltriethoxysilan, Vinyltriethoxysilan, Methytrimethoxysilan, Methyltriethoxysilan, Propyltrimethoxysilan, Decyltrimethoxysilan, Decyltriethoxysilan, Propyltriethoxysilun, Butyltriethoxysilan, β-Phenylethyhnethyldiethoxysilan, Vinyltrimethoxysilan, Vinyltributoxysilan, Cyclohexyltrmiethoxysilan, 2-Norbornantrimethoxysilan und 2-Norbornantriethoxysilan.
- Für die Verwendung als Elektronendonator (2) bevorzugt sind Methykrimethoxysilan, Ethyltrimethoxysilan, Ethyltriethoxysilan, Vinyltriethoxysilan, Propyltrimethoxysilan, Decyltrimethoxysilan, Decyltriethoxysilan, Propylttriethoxysilan, Butyltriethoxysilan, Vinyltrimethoxysilan, Vinyltributoxysilan und Cyclohexyltrimethoxysilan.
- Eine organische Sihciumverbindung zur Verwendung als Elektronendonator (1) oder (2) kann in situ gebildet werden, insofern als daß eine Verbindung, die in der Lage ist, zu solch einer organischen Siliciumverbindung umgewandeh zu werden, während der Polymerisation oder vorausgehenden Polymerisationen eines Olefins hinzugesetzt wird, und die organische Siliciumverbindung wird in situ während der Polymerisation oder der vorausgehenden Polymerisation des Olefins gebildet.
- Bei dem Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung wird ein Olefin in Gegenwart des oben beschriebenen Katalysators polymerisiert. Vorzugsweise wird vor der Polymerisation (Hauptpolymerisation) eine vorausgehende Polymerisation durchgeführt.
- Durch die Ausführung einer sokhen vorausgehenden Polymerisation kann ein pulverförmiges Polymer mit einer hohen Schüttdichte bzw. Massendichte erhalten werden, und es besteht die Tendenz, daß sich die Stereoregularität des resultierenden Polymeren erhöht. Wenn die vorausgehende Polymerisation mittels der Suspensionspolymerisation durchgeführt wird, hat die resultierende Aufschlämmung ausgezeichnete Eigenschaften. Demzufolge wird bei dem Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung die Handhabung des resultierenden pulverigen Polymeren oder des Aufschlämmungspolymeren leicht. Bei der vorausgehenden Polymerisation wird die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] in Kombination mit mindestens einem Teil der Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] zu diesem Zeitpunkt verwendet, wodurch es möglich ist, es zu erreichen, daß ein Teil oder die Gesamtmenge der Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] gleichzeitig vorliegt.
- Bei der vorausgehenden Polymerisation kann der Katalysator in einer höheren Konzentration als beim Hauptpolymerisationssystem verwendet werden.
- Die Konzentration des Katalysators der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] in der vorausgehenden Polymerisation beträgt für gewöhnlich 0,01 bis 200 mMol, vorzugsweise 0,05 bis 100 mMol, berechnet als Titanatome, pro Liter des zu beschreibenden inerten Kohlenwasserstoffmediums.
- Die Menge der Organoaluminiumkatalysator-Komponente [A] kann dergestalt sein, daß 0,1 bis 500 g, vorzugsweise 0,3 bis 300 g, eines Polymeren pro Gramm der festen Titan- Katalysatorkomponente gebildet werden, und sie beträgt wünschenswerterweise 0,1 bis 100 Mol, für gewöhnlich, und vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 50 Mol, pro Mol der Titanatome in der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A].
- Vorzugsweise wird die vorausgehende Polymerisation unter milden Bedingungen in einem inerten Kohlenwasserstoffinedium, in dem ein Olefin und die Katalysatorkomponenten vorliegen, durchgeführt. Beispiele des zu dieser Zeit verwendeten inerten Kohlenwasserstoffmediums schließen aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Propan, Butan, Pentan, Hexan, Heptan, Octan, Decan, Dodecan und Kerosin; alicyclische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Cyclopentan, Cyclohexan und Methylcyclopentan; aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Benzol, Toluol und Xylol; halogehierte Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Ethylenchlorid und Chlorbenzol; und Mischungen von diesen ein. Unter den inerten Kohlenwasserstoffmedien sind aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe besonders bevorzugt zu verwenden.
- Das bei der vorausgehenden Polymerisation verwendete Olefin kann das gleiche Olefin sein wie das, welches in der Hauptpolymerisation verwendet wird.
- Wenn ein solches Olefin in der vorausgehenden Polymerisation eingesetzt wird, kann ein hochkristallines Polymer aus einem Olefin mit 2 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen, vorzugsweise mit 3 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen, erhalten werden.
- Beim Verfahren der Erfindung kann ein flüssiges α-Olefin anstelle eines Teils oder der Gesamtmenge des während der vorausgehenden Polymerisation verwendeten inerten Kohlenwasserstofiinedinins verwendet werden.
- Die Reaktionstemperatiir für die vorausgehende Polymerisation mag an einem Pnnkt liegen, bei dem die resultierende vorausgehende Polymerisation sich nicht wesentlich im inerten Kohlenwasserstoffinedium löst. Wünschenswerterweise beträgt sie für gewöhnlich -20 bis 100 ºC, vorzugsweise -20 bis 80 ºC, weiter bevorzugt 0 bis 40 ºC.
- Bei der vorausgehenden Polymerisation kann ein das Molekulargewicht regulierende Mittel, wie Wasserstoff, verwendet werden. Das das Molekulargewicht regulierende Mittel kann wünschenswerterweise in solch einer Menge eingesetzt werden, daß das durch die vorausgehende Polymerisation erhaltene Polymer eine Grenzviskosität, gemessen in Dekalin bei 135 ºC, von mindestens 0,2 dl/g, vorzugsweise von 0,5 bis 10 dl/g, besitzt.
- Wünschenswerterweise wird die vorausgehende Polymerisation dergestalt ausgeführt, daß sich 0,1 bis 1000 g, vorzugsweise 0,3 bis 300 g pro Gramm der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] eines Polymeren bilden. Wenn die Menge des in der vorausgehenden Polymerisation polymerisierten Olefins zu groß ist, kann die Effizienz der Produktion eines Olefinpolymeren in der Hauptpolymerisation manchmal verringert sein.
- Die vorausgehende Polymerisation kann satzartig oder kontinuierlich durchgeführt werden.
- Nach dem die vorausgehende Polymerisation wie obenstehend ausgeführt wurde - oder ohne jegliche Vorpolymerisation -, wird die Hauptpolymerisation eines Olefins in Gegenwart eines Olefinpolymerisationskatalysators durchgeführt, der aus der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A], der Organoaluminium-Katalysatorkomponente [B] und der Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] gebildet ist.
- Beispiele des Olefins, das bei der Hauptpolymerisation verwendet werden kann, sind Ethylen, Propylen, 1-Buten, 4-Methyl-1-penten und 1-Octen. Diese Olefine können einzeln oder in Kombination verwendet werden. Insbesondere ist es bevorzugt, Propylen oder 1-Buten zu homopolymerisieren, oder eine Propylen oder 1-Buten als Hauptkomponente enthaltende Olefinmischung zu copolymerisieren. Unter Verwendung der Olefinmischung ist der Anteil an Propylen oder 1-Buten als eine Hauptkomponente für gewöhnlich mindestens 50 Mol%, vorzugsweise mindestens 70 Mol%.
- Insbesondere kann bei der Polymerisation eines α-Olefins mit mindestens 3 Kohlenstoffatomen ein Polymer mit einem hohen Regiilaritätsindex mit hoher katalytischer Effizienz erhalten werden.
- Wenn diese Olefine homopolymerisiert oder copolymerisiert werden, kann ebenfalls eine polyungesättigte Verbindung, wie ein konjugiertes Dien oder ein nichtkonjugiertes Dien, ebenfälls als ein Polymerisationsmaterial verwendet werden.
- Bei der vorliegenden Erfindung wird die Hauptpolymerisation des Olefins für gewöhnlich in der Gasphase oder Flüssigphase durchgeführt.
- Wenn Hauptpolymerisation mittels der Suspensionspolymerisation durchgeführt wird, kann der obenstehende inerte Kohlenwasserstoff als ein Reaktionslösungsmittel verwendet werden, oder eine in der Reaktion befindliche Olefinflüssigkeit kann als Lösungsmittel verwendet werden.
- Bei dem Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung wird die Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] für gewöhnlich in einer Menge von 0,005 bis 0,5 mMol, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 0,5 mMol, berechnet als Ti-Atome pro Liter der Reaktionszone eingesetzt. Die Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkoinponente wird in solch einer Menge eingesetzt, daß die Menge des Metalls in der Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] für gewöhnlich 1 bis 2000 Mol, vorzugsweise 5 bis 500 Mol, pro Mol des Titans in der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] im Polymerisationssystem beträgt. Die Gesamtmenge der Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] beträgt für gewöhnlich 0,001 bis 10 Mol, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 2 Mol, insbesondere bevorzugt 0,05 bis 1 Mol, berechnet als Si-Atome in der Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] pro Mol des Metalls in der Katalysatorkomponente [B].
- Bei dem Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung können die Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A], die Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatoikomponente [B] und die Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] miteinander zum Zeitpunkt der Hauptpolymerisation kontaktiert werden, oder vor der Hauptpolymerisation, z. B. zum Zeitpunkt der vorausgehenden Polymerisation. Bei dem Kontakt dieser vor der Hauptpolymerisation können beliebige zwei dieser Komponenten frei gewählt und kontaktiert werden. In alternativ er Weise können zwei oder drei der Komponenten, einzeln teilweise genommen (individually taken partly), miteinander kontaktiert werden.
- Die Elektronendonatoren (1) und (2) können beide zum Zeitpunkt der vorausgehenden Polymerisation verwendet werden. In alternativer Weise kann einer von diesen zum Zeitpunkt der vorausgehenden Polymerisation eingesetzt werden, der andere zum Zeitpunkt der Hauptpolymerisation. Es ist ferner möglich, zwei Elektronendonatoren zum ersten Mal in der Hauptpolymerisation einzusetzen.
- Bei dem Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung können die Katalysatorkomponenten miteinander vor der Polymerisation in einer inerten Gasatmosphäre kontaktiert werden. In alternativer Weise können die einzelnen Katalysatorkomponenten miteinander in einer Olefinatmosphäre kontaktiert werden.
- Wenn die Organoaluiminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] und die Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] teilweise in der vorausgehenden Polymerisation verwendet werden, werden die in der vorausgehenden Polymerisation verwendeten Katalysatorkomponenten zusammen mit dem Rest der Katalysatorkomponenten eingesetzt. In diesem Fall können die in der vorausgehenden Polymerisation verwendeten Katalysatorkomponenten erste Polymerisationsprodukte enthalten. Wenn Wasserstoff zum Zeitpunkt der Hauptpolymerisation verwendet wird, kann das Molekulargewicht des resultierenden Polymeren eingestellt werden, und es kann ein Polymer mit einer hohen Schmelzflußrate erhalten werden. Gemäß dem Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung sind der Stereoregiilaritätsindex des resultierenden Polymeren und die Aktivität des Katalysators nicht vermindert.
- Bei der vorliegenden Erfindung wird die Polymerisationstemperatur des Olefins für gewöhnlich auf 20 bis 200 ºC, vorzugsweise 50 bis 180 ºC, und der Polymerisationsdruck für gewöhnlich auf Atmosphärendruck bis 98 bar (100 kg/cm²), vorzugsweise 2 bis 49 bar (2 bis 50 kg/cm²) eingestellt. Das Polymerisationsverfahren kann satzweise, halbkontinuierlich oder kontinuierlich durchgeführt werden. Die Polymerisation kann in zwei oder mehreren Schritten unter unterschiedlichen Reaktionsbedingungen durchgeführt werden.
- Das erhaltene Polymer des Olefins kann ein Homopolymer, ein statistisches Copolymer oder ein Block-Copolymer sein.
- Da bei der vorliegenden Erfindung die Ausbeute eines Polymers mit Stereoregularität pro Einheitsgewicht der festen Katalysatorkomponente hoch ist, kann der Katalysatorrest, insbesondere der Halogengehalt, im Polymer relativ vermindert werden, und ein Arbeitsschritt der Entfernung des Katalysators aus dem Polymer kann fortgelassen werden, und ferner kann beim Formen des resultierenden Polymeren das Rosten einer Form in effektiver Weise verhindert werden.
- Das unter Anwendung des Katalysators gemäß der Erfindung erhaltene Olefinpolymer besitzt eine breite Molekulargewichtsverteilung, und es weist deshalb eine ausgezeichnete Schmelz-Formbarkeit auf
- Gemäß dem Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung werden Olefine unter Verwendung eines spezifischen Polymerisationskatalysators polymerisiert, der aus der festen Titan- Katalysatorkomponente [A], der Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] und der Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] gebildet ist. Somit kann ein Olefinpolymer mit einer besonders breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung in hohen Ausbeuten hergestellt werden.
- Das Olefinpolymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung führt nicht nur zu einer breiten Molekulargewichtsverteilung, sondern zeigt das unerwartete Ergebnis, daß eine Komponente mit hohem Molekulargewicht, die bei einer herkömmlichen Polymerisation nicht erhältlich ist, in einem einzelnen Schrift gebildet wird (in Fig. 1 gezeigt). Es kann eine Erhöhung bezüglich der Festigkeit des Olefinpolymeren aufgrund dieser hochmolekulargewichtigen Komponente erwartet werden.
- Das durch das Polymerisationsverfahren der Erfindung erhaltene Olefinpolymer besitzt eine hohe Stereoregularität und eine hohe Schüttdichte.
- Darüber hinaus kann der Katalysator der Erfindung zur Bildung von Olefinpolymeren, die die obengenannten ausgezeichneten Eigenschaften besitzen, unter guter Effizienz und geringer Abnahme der katalytischen Aktivität während des Verlaufs der Polymerisation führen.
- Die folgenden Beispiele werden die vorliegende Erfindung genauer erläutern. Es versteht sich allerdings, daß die Erfindung nicht auf diese spezifischen Beispiele beschränkt ist.
- Wasserfreies Magnesiumchlorid (7,14 g; 75 mMol), 37,5 mi Decan und 35,1 ml (225 mMol) 2-Ethylhexylalkohol wurden bei 130 ºC zwei Stunden lang unter Bildung einer einheitlichen Lösung umgesetzt. Dann wurden 1,67 g (11,8 mMol) Phtalsäureanhydrid hinzugesetzt und in der einheitlichen Lösung gelöst.
- Die derart erhaltene einheitliche Lösung wurde auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt, und alles wahrend einer Stunde auf 200 ml (1,8 Mol) Titantetrachlorid, das bei -20 ºC gehalten wurde, aufgetropft. Nach der Zugabe wurde die Temperatur der resultierenden Lösung während 4 Stunden auf 110 ºC erhöht. Als die Temperatur 110 ºC erreichte, wurden 5,03 ml (18,8 mMol) Diisobutylphtalat hiigesetzt.
- Die Lösung wurde 2 Stunden lang bei der oben angeführten Temperatur gerührt. Nach der zweisndigen Reaktion wurde der feste Anteil mittels Heißfiltration abgenommen.
- Der feste Teil wurde in 275 TiCl&sub4; resuspendiert und 2 Stunden lang bei 110 ºC umgesetzt.
- Nach der Reaktion wurde der feste Anteil erneut mittels Heißfiltration entnommen und mit Decan bei 110 ºC und Hexan bei Raumtemperatur gewaschen. Dieses Waschen wurde fortgesetzt bis keine Titanverbindung mehr im Waschwasser detektiert werden konnte.
- Die resultierende feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] wurde als eine Hexanaufschlämmung erhalten. Ein Teil des Katalysafors wurde als Probe entnommen und getrocknet. Die Analyse des getrockneten Produktes zeigte, daß die resultierende feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] 2,5 Gewichtsprozent Titan, 58 Gewichtsprozent Chlor, 18 Gewichtsprozent Magnesium und 13,8 Gewichtsprozent Diisobutylphtalat enthielt.
- Ein 400 ml großer, mit Stickstoff gespülter Glasreaktor wurde mit 200 ml gereinigtem Hexan gefüllt, und 6 mMol Triethylaluminium und 2 mMol der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A], berechnet als Titanatome, zugesetzt. Propylen wurde in den Reaktor mit einer Rate von 5,9 Nl/h über einen Zeitraum von einer Stunde eingeführt, um 2,8 g Propylen pro Gramm Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] zu polymerisieren.
- Nach der vorausgehenden Polymerisation wurde der flüssige Anteil mittels Filtration entfernt und der abgetrennte feste Anteil wurde erneut in Decan dispergiert.
- Ein 2 Liter großer Autoklav wurde mit 750 ml gereinigtem Hexan befüllt, und in einer Atmosphäre aus Propylen bei Raumtemperatur wurden 0,75 mMol Trimethylaluminium, 0,038 mMol Dicyclopentyldimethoxysilan, 0,038 mMol Propyftriethoxysilan und 0,015 mMol, berechnet als Titanatome, der Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A], behandeft mittels der vorausgehenden Polymerisation (entsprechend 4,4 mg, berechnet als Katalysatorkomponente [A]) hinzugesetzt. Wasserstoff (200 Nml) wurde hinzugesetzt. Die Temperatur wurde auf 70 ºC erhöht, und Propylen wurde 2 Stunden lang polymerisiert. Der Druck wurde bei 7 bar - G (7 kg/cm² - G) während der Polymerisation gehalten.
- Nach der Polymerisation wurde die das gebildete Polymer enthaltende Aufschlämmung filtriert, um sie in ein weißes, granuläres Polymer und eine flüssige Phase aufzutrennen. Nach dem Trocknen wurde der Extraktionsrest durch Kochen in n-Heptan, die MFR, die apparente Schüftdichte, die Polymerisationsaktivität, der II des gesamten Polymeren, die Molekulargewichtsverteilung ( w/ n) mittels GPC des Polymeren, und der MFR (a), MFR (b) und log [MFR (b) / MFR (a)], wenn die Katalysatorkomponente [C] allein verwendet wurde, jeweils gemessen. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederhok, außer daß in der Hauptpolymerisation Vinyltriethoxysilan anstelle von Propyltriethoxysilan verwendet wurde. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt. Die Ergebnisse der GPC-Analyse des resultierenden Polymeren ist in Figur 1 gezeigt.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederhok, außer daß in der Hauptpolymerisation β-Phenethylmethyldiethoxysilan anstelle von Propyltriethoxysilan verwendet wurde. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiele 1 bis 3 wurden wiederhoh, außer daß in der Hauptpolymerisation Di-t- butyldimethoxysilan anstelle von Dicyclopentyldimethoxysilan verwendet wurde. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 aufgeführt.
- Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, außer daß in der Hauptpolymerisation 0,075 mMol Cyclohexylmethyldimethoxysilan oder Vinyltriethoxysilan anstelle der 2 Silanverbindungen verwendet wurden.
- Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 gezeigt.
- Die Ergebnisse der GPC-Analyse der resultierenden Polymeren sind in Figur 1 aufgeführt. Claims (12)
1. Katalysator zur Verwendung bei der Polymerisation eines Olefins, wobei der
Katalysator gebildet ist aus:
[A] einer festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente, die Magnesium, Titan, Halogen und
einen Elektronendonator als wesentliche Bestandteile enthält,
[B] einer Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente, und
[C] einer Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente, die mindestens zwei
Elektronendonatoren enthält, einschließlich eines Elektronendonators (1) und eines
Elektronendonators (2), wobei der Elektronendonator (1) die Formel besitzt
R¹&sub2;Si(OR&sub2;)&sub2;
worin R¹ eine Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl- oder Cycloalkenylgrupppe ist, worin das an Si
angrenzende Kohlenstoffatom sekundär oder tertiär ist, und R² eine
Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe bedeutet, und wobei der Elektronendonator (2) die folgende Formel besitzt
R³nSi(OR²)4-n
worin 0 ≤ n < 4 ist, jeder R³-Rest eine Alkyl-, Alkenyl- oder Aralkylgruppe bedeutet
und R² eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe bedeutet, mit der Maßgabe, daß wenn n 2 ist,
mindestens eine der R³-Gruppen eine ist, in welcher das an Si angrenzende
Kohlenstoffatom primär ist,
wobei der Elektronendonator (1) und der Elektronendonator (2) dergestalt sind, daß
die MFR (a) des Homopolypropylens, das durch das Polymerisieren von Propylen in
Gegenwart eines aus der festen Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A], der
Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] und des Elektronendonators (1)
gebildeten Katalysators erhalten wurde, und die MFR (b) des Homopolypropylens, das
unter den gleichen Polymerisationsbedingungen, mit Ausnahme der Verwendung des
Elektronendonators (2) anstelle des Elektronendonators (l), erhalten wurde, die
folgende Beziehung erfüllen:
log [MFR(b)/MFR(a)]≥1,5.
2. Katalysator gemäß Anspruch 1, in dem die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] einen
Ester als Elektronendonator enthält und die
Organoaluminiumverbindungs-Katalysatorkomponente [B] ein Trialkylaluminium ist.
3. Katalysator gemäß Anspruch 2, in dem die feste Titankatalysatorkomponente [A]
Diisobutylphthalat als Elektronendonator enthält; die Organoaluminiumverbindungs-
Katalysatorkomponente [B] Triethylaluminium ist; und zwei Elektronendonatoren der
Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] (1) Dicyclopentyldimethoxysilan und (2)
Propyltriethoxysilan sind.
4. Katalysator gemäß Anspruch 2, in dem die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A]
Diisobutylphthalat als Elektronendonator enthält; die Organoaluminiumverbindungs-
Katalysatorkomponente [B] Triethylaluminium ist; und zwei Elektronendonatoren der
Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [9] (1) Dicyclopentyldimethoxysilan und (2)
Vinyltriethoxysilan sind.
5. Katalysator gemäß Anspruch 2, in dem die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A]
Diisobutylphthalat als Elektronendonator enthält; die Organoaluminiumverbindungs-
Katalysatorkomponente [B] Triethylaluminium ist; und zwei Elektronendonatoren der
Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] (1) Dicyclopentyldimethoxysilan und (2)
beta-Phenethylmethyldiethoxysilan sind.
6. Katalysator gemäß Anspruch 2, in dem die feste Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A]
Diisobutylphthalat als Elektronendonator enthält, die Organoaluminiumverbindungs-
Katalysatorkomponente [B] Triethylaluminium ist; und zwei Elektronendonatoren der
Elektronendonator-Katalysatorkomponente [C] (1) Di-t-butyldimethoxysilan und (2)
Propyltriethoxysilan sind.
7. Katalysator gemäß mindestens einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, in dem die feste
Titan-Katalysatorkomponente [A] behandelt wurde durch vorausgehendes
Polymerisieren eines Olefins in ihrer Gegenwart.
8. Katalysator gemäß Anspruch 7, in dem das Olefin ein Olefin mit 2 bis 5
Kohlenstoffatomen ist.
9. Katalysator gemäß Anspruch 8, in dem das Olefin Propylen ist.
10. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Olefinpolymeren, welches das Polymerisieren
mindestens eines Olefins in Gegenwart eines Katalysators gemäß mindestens einem der
vorhergehenden Ansprüche umfaßt.
11. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 10, worin das mindestens eine Olefin 2 bis 5
Kohlenstoffatome besitzt.
12. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 10, bei dem das mindestens eine Olefin Propylen ist.
